Even if Mario Maker 2 replaced this game, I'll never forget playing it on Launch Day and how much fun I had with this game. From the Amiibo costumes to the 100 Mario Challenges, to the Special Courses, and more. This game was awesome, and I even got the special edition with the idea book and the 25 year anniversary poster. This game was awesome, and it was very creative, and one of the best Wii U games you could ever own. And I will always remember it that way. But even though online is going away, it's not the end because like they said, it's "The Mario Game That Never Ends!" But I will miss the Course World.

Awesome video! Thanks for the shoutout! it's been a huge journey with team 0% and they deserve nothing but love. This game came out when I had just gotten out of college and man, as an unemployed 20-something back then, it was all I played! I'm super glad we could send Mario Maker off with a bang, and I'm hoping that one day in the FAR future we can do the same for Mario Maker 2!

I've been playing Super Mario Maker 1 like crazy within the past month or so. My favorite memory of this game was when me and my brother first got it, and we took turns making levels. I wish that all of the online for this game will be preserved.

When I saw MM1 I was so excited, I didn't have a Wii U but my Mother bought me the 3DS Version. Good or not: I will always remember this game in my child, people who made levels from the Wii U and the 3DS: thank you for everything.

Can’t really say I’m going to miss it. I remember how I used to spend hours coming up with some crazy levels, and they never got the recognition they deserved. I made a level for Dashie to play on his channel, I never found it. I made a bunch of levels based on the original eight Pokémon gyms, some of them didn’t even last a week after I uploaded them. I didn’t really have the best Mario Maker experience ever.
I remember getting this on my birthday. I played this so much and i made so many great levels. Thank you Super Mario Maker for everything! We loved you! ❤

My grandma got me this game on my birthday 2017, I loved this game and it was my childhood. Then in 2018 my Wii U gamepad broke because I raged at Mario maker 1. Then in 2019 I got a Nintendo switch and I got super Mario maker 2 in 2021. Then in 2022 my grandma passed away (died) due to coronavirus and I was devastated. I still miss her to this day. Ever since she passed away (died) Mario maker 1 reminds me of her. 🕊️🕊️🕊️

my levels weren't that interesting since i was too lazy to take the time to build a unique level. im still happy these people played my uploaded levels :) also some levels i uploaded include "tank land", "coin mint" and "my winging monsters art" which has a spelling mistake (a w instead of an s in singing) i couldn't fix
Loved watching this. For the last 3 years I have been OBSESSED with beating courses in Mario Maker 2. I play it pretty much daily wherever I am. Would love 1 last DLC for it but that’s a dream. 45,700 beat so far.
I remember watching the Mario Maker E3 announcement back in 2014 on my Wii U. It was one of the most exciting moments of my childhood. Especially as someone who enjoyed creating unofficial levels on games like Super Mario Flash and SMBX. Now, almost a decade since that announcement things have definitely changed. I’ll never forget the good memories that Mario Maker brought me…
It's crazy to think that when I was 6 years old Mario Maker came out. I haven't played Mario Maker 2 in a minute, but it is still one of my favorite games. I remember making really hard levels back in Mario Maker that were just for my friends to play. I can't even explain the amount of nostalgia I'm getting right now just thinking of some of them . Watching this video made me think about returning to my Maker 2 and have a little bit more fun with making more creative levels .I always found it fun to make tall climbing levels . Thank you for making this and bringing me back to my childhood.
Hopefully we get that mario maker 3 on whatever Nintendo's next console is. We need a remedy in this sad sad time.

mario maker was a dream come true for me, when i was a kid all i wanted to do was make my own levels in games, mario being constructed of blocks it always seemed like a no brainer for it to have a level creator.. i didn't realize it would take decades to get such a thing, at least officially. nonetheless, i absolutely loved this game and my friends and i had a blast playing it. funny enough, i just played the 3ds version because i knew i was gonna be in a hospital waiting waiting room for a very long time, and i played the heck outta that game, replaying all the levels i created, felt like a surprise time capsule i left for myself. mario maker is one of the greatest things ever, i wish i had a switch to enjoy the newest one
I really hope they choose to make a SMM3. It might be very unlikely due to SMM2’s low sales, but given how well Wonder did, I could see them giving it another chance with a SMBWo theme

Mario maker 1 came out the day before my birthday, or at least close to it, and I got the game on, or a day after my birthday. This game, actually changed my life and made me love game development, which I am studying currently. A boxed copy of the game is always at the side of my desk to show where my journey began.

…god, it’s been so long since I’ve played SMM1. I was a kid when it first came out, and I made really weird worlds and such. I’m pretty sure my creator name is Collan Cho, although I don’t remember any of the level codes. I usually played it when I was 7 to 10, and I’m 13 now. Don’t remember any of the olden times back then, except for the puzzle games and levels I played in there. God, there was this singular one that had all really cool aminos that I beat, and it was so cool. Hope I got my creator name correct, otherwise I’m not sure what I’ll do. It really is my last memory of SMM1.
I grew up with the Wii U and 3DS. I still have both today and use them often. It's sad to see a huge part of what kept these consoles alive fade away as a part of history.

The Mario Maker games are my favorites... I spent 925 hours during covid just dominating the Online Severs. I wasn't able to get a Wii U or 3DS but I remember being so excited when SMM2 came out that it was the first game on my switch. SMM3 better continue the legacy

I remember playing the first Mario maker with my brothers on all of our 3dses good times
Unfortunately, When I lost my Wii U in 2019, any levels that weren't still in the server are lost forever..... I can't get the code but I made a final boss concept for a solo project called Super Mario Adventure, I think my account is gamerman1j or Nintenbrony, maybe Jory? But you fight Bowser with Yoshi and a Fire Flower that you get in a grass area before entering the pipe to the battle in a bed of spikes dipped in the lava, it's meant to simulate a hot floor that Yoshi can handle, there were also Donut Blocks with Brick Blocks on them, there were pipes on the side that spawn Red Koopas on one side, bob-ombs on the other that can also be used on Bowser. If you took damage, the fight becomes harder, and while you can at first use the brick blocks as stable ground above the hot floor, but Bowser breaks them overtime. It's an all out Brawl with the Koopa King himself.

this was a 9 year speedrun it is a community driven game, so how fitting it is that it took a community working together to be beaten
