Mario Wonder was announced on June 21st and was released by Ocrober 20th... if Switch 2/NG/4K gets mentioned in May officially to investors... it'll be this year I think... late October launch...

I myself am in the "Hopefully" category of this. Where it's if it does happen I'll be super excited and happy, but if it doesn't happen it won't affect me as much as it probably would otherwise.

I think "4k output" is more hyped version of saying that it has HDMI 2.1 and internal upscaling to 4k!

It sounds like it’s not a drastically new console. Upgraded but still just a more powerful Switch so that makes me think it’s totally possible that they just announce it close to the holiday and release it. They clearly have some things behind closed doors ready. My bet is on Metroid Prime 4 as a launch title Switch 2 exclusive.
Maybe most of the game after the upgraded switch still playable for the old switch. If this is true, they can just have the 3D mario rumoured in anytime for the regular switch. switch model upgrade in 2024 and switch successor in 2026?

I think the end of the year rumors stem from when manufacturers plan to have the console ready. Midori has backed up the leak of the March 2025 release date. Judging by how perfect her track record is, I’m inclined to believe her. That coupled with Pyoro essentially backing up this going into manufacturing soon, I would bet they plan to get ahead of manufacturing leaks.

I cannot wait for Switch 2 and it's cool that you can use backwards compatibility like bringing the Switch 1 games to Switch 2 which is pretty cool and I hope the new joy cons I hope they don't do the joy-con drift because it was so bad when it happened on Switch 1 and hopefully the joy-cons don't do the same thing as Switch 2 so I hope Switch 2 will be really good

I wonder if the cartridges of Nintendo Switch 2 games will replace the cartridges of the first console. I'm planning to buy a Nintendo Switch Lite and you probably can't play Nintendo Switch 2 games with it.
Now if only they announce Super Mario Galaxy 2 coming to the Switch in May or June this year, then I'll be satisfied.
The June Direct will likely have the big Switch announcements for the rest of the year with another Direct to pad out the year sometime in Fall. Probably one new holiday game, two more remakes, a few 3rd party games and a few games coming to the Online Service. Then I'll guess around February Nintendo will announce the next platform with a major Direct announcing release window titles 2 or 3 weeks later with a June or July release of the new platform. Let's see how much of this prediction comes true.
The release date is likely to be March 2025 (cos thats the near start of the Japanese Financial Year)

Also I finally got my Super Mario Bros Wonder order just last week and I gotta say the game feels fresh and new anf fresh made through my first castle but Bowser jr. To me acts just like he does in DS hr doesnt have anything to say after the hit he just leaves but other than the mediocore the levels in the first world were fun and yes the run badge challenge I had to use yoshi yah I know but over all the game was really great and a fresh break away from the dredful and Boring NSMBU

Were now experiencing similar to the 2016 of nintendo, looking very dry and boring like the wastelands, and hopefully 2025 we get a similar year to the 2017 of nintendo
I think Nintendo will wait till June to announce the “Switch 2” with a big direct or dedicated announcement video, and then in September start announcing games for the console such as Metroid prime 4, new 3d Mario, next Mariokart and more. It will have to release in the first quarter of 2025 or summer so it can gather hype and get games released toward the latter part of it. Hopefully more info is coming soon and we are almost there, let’s enjoy the last little bit of the switch’s life though!
