      @coolperson7484@coolperson74845 жыл бұрын
    • @@coolperson7484 Taylor hears the song almost entirely in her head. This is why she turned down record deals from major labels because they wanted to do business as usual where they have a team of professional song writers and then the video to go with it. This is why she said herself she was never interested in singing someone else's songs. What she is doing here in the video is typical for writing. She is using the camera to capture ideas flashing in her mind until she hits on the right beats before the chorus comes in. I used to record our rehearsals when we played and wrote new songs so if I suddenly hit on a good idea it was down on tape to listen back to days later. Taylor writes songs and makes it look easy because she is exceptional. She had dozens of songs written already before she landed a job as a payed songwriter for Sony Music at just 14 or 15 yrs old. She was the youngest ever to land that job and believe me there are thousands of writers who dream of getting a job for a major label because you collect royalties if the song becomes a major hit. She writes on piano, guitar and banjo also a few other instruments. It is incredibly difficult to write a good song like Fifteen however she can do this so easily. Paul McCartney had this rare gift also and she reminds me of people like him who are very talented indeed. I am not in the demographic who Taylors songs were for however I trained on guitar and have a good understanding of music theory. Her songs sound simple and she uses very familiar chord templates or patterns but her sense of melody and how to bring the listener in to understand the song is just brilliant. I was really blown away the first time I listened to Fifteen. It is a perfect song meaning there is nothing she could of done to make that song any better. The only artiste who can write perfect songs are The Beatles, The Beach Boys and a few others from time to time. I would be surprised if she isn't in Rolling Stones best ever songwriters. If she isn't She will be at some point.

    • @@me-jl7pz Apparently, Taylor was only teen (idk like 14 or 15) when she signed a contract with her label, Big Machine Records (with Scott Borchetta, but her dad was the one who mostly knows all the legal stuff) and one of the terms of the contract was Taylor's next SIX albums (masters) will be owned BIG MACHINE RECORDS. (Scott Borchetta not Taylor Swift) That's why all of her songs until *reputation* is owned by BMR that is why although Taylor Swift still earns from royalties, the money the songs earn still goes mostly to them. (BIG MACHINE RECORDS) She tried to purchase her masters (rights to her OWN songs) but she wasn't really given a chance. Then, Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber's manager, a person who bullied Taylor Swift) bought BIG MACHINE RECORDS (from Scott Borchetta) for $200 MILLION and now SCOOTER owns BIG MACHINE RECORDS meaning she owns the masters(rights) to TAYLOR SWIFT'S own songs.

    • @@mehulthakral6051 Honestly, using music making software is more about the talent of the person using it vs being technical. 95% the time the same few filters/etc are used in different amounts and layers etc. If she doesn't know how to use it already, with her raw talent/intuition she could learn something like FL Studio in a few weeks, and after that if she wanted to I bet she would use Pro Tools or Reason better then most experienced users would use the software. Because honestly, the hardest part of using any software is getting good samples and then understanding how to build the structure of a full track, both of which she excels at, so really it is just learning the dials, and buttons. I don't want to play down what a good producer can do on really good software, but honestly, when someone has that much talent, the software is the easier part, for most people, the software is not the hard bit, the musical ability sets the ceiling....

  • Quick little fun fact! Do you guys notice how at 1:35 and 2:12, while Taylor is contemplating what to say, the producer immediately hits the track. It’s because he’s not allowing Taylor to over think it. Instead, allow her creative gift and talent to take over. Notice how she figures it out while in motion. That’s the sign of a great singer/producer relationship. He knew how to get the best out of her.

  • I LOVE to see a song being made. When I see the process and its right in front of me, I get so excited. When she starts of... "Sometimes I wounder when you sleep..." Then she creates "Sometimes when I look into your eyes, ... (you can tell she gets excited, and it happens) ...I pretend your mine all the damn time". The guy says "Yeah! Did you record that?" And she points at the camera. For me, a wannabe song writer, that was exciting! Yes, It is the little things in life!!! Thanks Taylor...

For the record, this is arguably my favorite song on the album. And for the record, haterz can hate all they want. I think you mean like 90% of really unpopular artists write their music. Most people who are as famous as Taylor don't write their own music. Most artists with a small amount of fans do, but no one as famous as Taylor aside from like Ed Sheeran do.

      @bppspb7741@bppspb77416 жыл бұрын
    • bpp spb all 3 of them are working to this. She has the first and last word on how the song is going to be , she writes if not all, most of the lyrics of the songs and core melody, she doesn't show all the process but it's pretty clear. After all if I had money to pay other people who know these mix -arranging softwares to a profesional level to edit a song based 80% at least of my ideas why not do it. Saves time.

      @sketchios5158@sketchios51586 жыл бұрын
    • maybe she has the first word but she sings what she's told by Max Martin, that's why the song is a hit

    • bpp spb nnot really. Check out the king of my heart bts video. For me her lyrics are and always will be more country based so Max martin helps her with it and if it works it works. Cause after all it's Max martins advice who knows how to make a hit. That doesn't mean he writes the lyrics. Maybe in some parts he helps but that's it.

    • Why do we feel entitled to label people? "You can recognize a great artist by how their work makes others feel… and its different for every person … " So how can you tell who is the greatest? -by how great their voice are? -by how good they write lyrics but few can relate? -by how many awards they have won? -by how huge their fan base is? -by the sales their music make? or how they affect people in their generation?

    • Are you equating "Greatness" with relevance and popular. That is what currently putting Taylor ahead right now. Attributes that clearly are nothing to scoff at but us Artists equate Greatness with Artistic merit. Swift who is about to be 28 with millions of dollars doesn't have s single moment on stage or in video that even close to capturing the Gravitas of Gagas Bad Romance. Gaga was 21 when she hung from that ceiling in blood at the VMAs. Even her first Album to get reviewed poorly, " Artpop" calls upon lofty ideas of art and pop,culture. Its a shame when a song as plain, basic, simple as Gorgeous is being critically hailed. The critics should be hard on her but when the bar is glittery songs about petty drama it isn't hard to beat. Taylor swift is s commercial Juggernaut. Not an artistic one, and the latter is what any legitimate artist aims to achieve. Kesha gave us Praying, while swift gave us Look what you made me do. An artist shows real scars, not faux commercial pain, disguised as strength, all the while trying to sue the bullies.

    • When Gaga released " The cure" many felt it was basic, generic, beneath her. Why? Because she had music mastered the moment she hit. She could dance. Sing like a legend. Write like a legend. Perform like no other artist. She made freaky the new normal in music. You're right in that she hasn't lived up to the masterpieces of her past. And boy were they master pieces. When Taylor is able to do so with Call it like you want, Lwymmd, and gorgeous, it should speak volumes about where the bar was set with her in the first place. Adele destroyed the world( again) when Hello came out. Can you imagine what the critics would say if a 6 time Grammy winner produced a song about falling for a cute boy instead of the soul bearing music that also had made her a legend? They would not call it a masterpiece. By the way speaking of Adele who went to school writing music, won 11 Grammys in 2 albums. With no, controversy, a microphone, and no social media presence. Because the talent is what people are coming for. I'm not upset Swift is a star. I'm not upset she's popular or rich. I love shake it off and have watched blank space 100 times, but the storytelling has taken a back seat by and large.

    • To say Taylor swift had any influence over Adele snatches credibility away faster than Taylor runs out of breath on those digitized high notes. Someone like you came out in 2010. What did Taylor have out that Adele wanted...or needed. Back to December? I'm not sure if you know this but Taylor did not invent the ballad, or make it popular. Thier have been hit ballads since anyone can remember. Also since were unanimous that Praying is incredible, name three Taylor songs with similar themes that come close to the rawness. Maybe if Kesha was jeering and taunting her abuser with petty jabs then it could have Taylor's stamp. Its honestly an offensive and short sighted statement considering Taylor has never taken the high road in her music. But since so many bold statements have been made, Ill make another, Selena Gomez has a stamp over Taylor since it appears she has made talk/ singing highly popular.
