That’s why no KZheadr depends on ad rev for income, it’s all about the sponsors and side hustles. It’s also why Ben doesn’t upload 5 times a week, his time is better spent farming this for marketing and working on stuff to actually make money off of.
At the end of the day, if things don't work out you still got your KZhead revenue XD

Yep I agree, your target demo does not care for NFTs/Crypto/Web3. I think going down the NFT route would have killed the project. If the project continues, then I can see you integrating to this model later when the Tech matures. Not everything needs a dao/nft/etc.
finally some rationality in tech instead of hype and noise. No normal people give a shit about NFTs. By implementing it as core features, companies are just limiting their userbase to only people who care to use something so complex with such poor user experience
custodial wallets + layer 2 chains basically solves every bad UX.. it can even be implemented behind the scenes and users won't even know it

I'll offer you a different perspective: In the early days, the internet undeniably over-delivered in solving real-life problems to the point where issues with UX were tolerated. We cant say the same thing about NFTs, Crypto, and Web3 as they stand right now. I am bullish on the idea that we will find a good use for them, but as of now they're overhyped and show no utility beyond being a casino.

Well yeah, the value is purely speculative. Nobody wants NFS. People just trade between their own fake accounts to create a picture of 'lively market' to lure the suckers in thinking they're investing. This shit is as old as a book like auction houses with shill bidding and fake listings. It's in the interest of every cryptoscrammer to keep talking about NFTs 24/7 to give it some credibility/publicity.

Also, if you're going to argue about a subject, make sure you have an inkling of what you're discussing, and maybe find out what the motivations of the other person's opinion are. Biggest problem of web3 is communication. The web3 fans can’t really explain what it is. Every explanation uses 95% of the time explaining web1 and web2 and the rest is just about money.

I can understand how NFT fit into the game but I don't see any advantages other than speculation. That just create a marketplace in the game that could be good monetarily but not in the game experience

The funny part about this it's that this game would suit perfectly on an nft game. But yeah, it's the right decision to not make it an nft game, as I sill don't see the advantages of playing one, come on, I just want to go home and play a game, I don't want to spend a thousand trying to get the jpeg that I want and worry about market manipulation.
You do realize that NFTs can be internal and have nothing to do with the current bubble. NFTs is a technology. It can work inside a game system and be disconnected from the rest of the crypto market. People look at this stupid speculative gallery market instead of the technology itself which does need to be implemented this way at all. You can make your own crypto currency for your video game, ask for zero money from players and simply use the NFTs to follow the history of various assets in the game. Because it's so flexible in implementation, you can make it so it's impossible to trade for outside the game through a direct marketplace. NFT stands for "Non-Fungible Token". And not "New Financial Toy". Not making it an NFT specifically on the Ethereum network is probably a good decision. But not making it an NFT based game at all is very debatable because as a technology it fits the game really well and it can add interesting functionality to the entire system.
@@SiMeGamer If you're going to make your own blockchain for your own game, why not just cut out the blockchain entirely and use a regular database? It's easier for devs and it has all the same functionality because they're both centralized.
@@XerxesTexasToast there are certain features that the blockchain gives you (and lacks) which can provide more interesting mechanics. It's true I could do it all with standard programming but having a transaction ledger can he incredibly valuable, especially if you are going to have certain changes to the entire system. It's hard to explain but I believe it is possible to take advantage of that and that we'll see that in the future.

I feel you. The crypto game / nft space is underdeveloped and full of scams/ projects that aren’t going anywhere. I do think nfts are the future but right now they aren’t used for more than flipping assets in the majority. Maybe when this game is fully developed and nfts have more interconnectability there could be an option to mint your void pets and use them in other compatible apps.

NFT are simply one of X tokens just like every other crypto coin except that in their bloc lies a link to a gif or picture file stored somewhere on a private server. NFTs are not created (as of now) to add value or to increase the utility of a real world project/asset but only to make money on the back of people dumb enough to throw money at it.

NFT of anything digital is straight up re- stupid... Videogames is art. Art is to be experienced. Not horded by investors rubbing their hand in hopes that one of them becomes expensive some day. And because all of this is digital and only available on one platform (and it can only be available on one platform because it is a videogame and if you want it in another game you have to basically mod it and mods already exist without Blockchain bs) it will never have any real value. Only have enough perceived value in the immediate future to scam some techno-crypto suckers.

I am in favor of this being an NFT. Regardless, I see the views opposing this opinion and find them all very valid. As it stands, I think NFTs are too new, and the community is volatile like anything crypto. Furthermore, I can't really complain or argue.
