  • Very true, once someone is committed to a point of view it's hard to backtrack psychologically, both for internal ego reasons and for the practical considerations (how will this change of mind impact how others perceive me and thus my place in the world). Humans are interesting

  • Hey will love your channel, the “get to the point “ philosophy aligns with my mindset as well. Question for you. Do you find it hard to implement pure weekly speed work with your athletes in regards to CNS recovery. For example, having athletes run 3-5 max effort 40 yard dashes(timed). Do you find this to interfere with there recovery in season?

    @colbyross4269@colbyross42692 ай бұрын
    • I’ve never found it to interfere with other aspects of their training or sport practice. But I’ve also never asked them how they feel about it either. I think it should be a priority for most athletes, and as a priority I don’t think it should really ever leave a training program.

  • My big question, how do you like combining kettlebell, mobility and strength training? I’m trying to figure out what can work best for me. Also, great intense content. Days and splits is what I’m curious about.

    @supracurious@supracurious2 ай бұрын
    • I do very minimal mobility work. Not that I’m opposed to it, I just don’t find it to be a priority of mine. And I rarely use kettlebells cuz I like barbells and dumbbells better.

  • You got surgery on your humerus back in November? What was the recovery time/how did you adjust training as a result?

    @Dtaysh@Dtaysh2 ай бұрын
    • I couldn’t do upper body intensive activity for 2-3 weeks. That was it. I waited about 5 weeks before I Olympic lifted.

  • Can you talk about a lifting belt like powerlifters use? Do you recommend them for ball sport athletes?

    @pcaisse@pcaisse2 ай бұрын
    • I have never used them. But I am looking into investing in one right now. Thinking I’ll probably go with an Eleiko belt.

    • I think it can work for people. It’s not the system that I use with athletes I train though.

  • Brother, I have a foot amputation, and I still do power clean and push jerks. They've been highly beneficial in force production and hypertrophy. Lack of triple extension and all. These guys are just intellectually lazy and committed to being contrarians. Great job in explaining things with brevity also
