Regarding the Outer Heaven Logo. To the people saying that the symbol facing the left doesn't imply evil, I would ask you why they no longer use it in future games? The connotations of a military power using a Swastika. In 1987, Outer Heaven were just pure evil bad guys, and they illustrated that by invoking the Nazi party. The symbol's origins are irrelevant compared to it's use since World War 2. The intent was clear, adding it to a scary looking skull was purposeful, and IRONY also exists. Ask yourself why they used it. And why they don't anymore.
Venom snake had a "artistic view"
My headcanon for the Outer Heaven logo is that it's a deepfake the Patriots made to discredit Big Boss. Apparently until mgs4, Big Boss was treated as a total villain but the Patriots realized making him a "hero" would help the war economy with more enlistees.
I actually disagree. You have to remember this was a game made for a Japanese audience first and foremost. In Japan it is still a sign of prosperity and good luck and still in many places. You even had it appearing on Pokemon cards in the early 2000s in Japan. Just somewhat recently (2016) were trying to change it (To a Pagoda) because of tourists but the symbol is still plastered over many Buddhist temples and it didn't pass. "Even though the modifications were intended only for non-Japanese-language maps, domestic response was quite negative; as one scholar said, “We have been using it for thousands of years [sic] before it was incorporated into the Not See flag, so I believe it would be better for us to keep it on our maps and ask others to understand its true meaning.” It disappeared because the games started becoming popular in the West.

@@Gatorade69 I think context is key here though. It's not a swastika on a temple in the game. It's a swastika on the logo of the bad military organization. Thus I think it's pretty obvious what was the intended message by using it in their logo, and it wasn't prosperity and good luck..
You missed a golden opportunity by showing Volgin grabbing Naked Snake by the balls when talking about how Kojima's Metal Gear series grabbed US by the balls.
Even on the primitive MSX hardware, you can see Kojima’s filmic sensibilities and stylistic flair shining through. Only thing that changed was the technology that allowed him to fully embrace it

It is very surprising that the series went from a pretty light story but some cool ideas in play to OMG the story is compelling......but WTF is the cutscenes so damn long lol. That proves the dedication that Hideo Kojima had and still does to this day. That said Die Hardman.........yeah Big Boss rolls off the tongue more and yes the cardboard box is a friend to everyone......except in Survive when it may be the cause of us being in another dimension because the box is a dick lol. Regardless, a soild Humble beginnings video on the first METAL GEAR there Clement!

Fighting Psycho Mantis when you had to switch your controller from slot one to slot two , the use of the vibration feature for example when Dr. Naomi Hunter gave you a shot after beeing tortured by the best enemycharacter - Revolver Ocelot - mindblowing back in the good old days!
