Hi, everyone. I've been watching these videos lately and I'm happy for that because I'm learning more. Thanks a million. The C2 phrase (at the end of your rope) doesn't have any possessive pronouns but possessive adjectives. I'm just trying to help.
Sir , you're really one of the best teachers I've ever seen in my life , you make things easier , thank you so much
So nice of you! Thanks for commenting & checking out the lesson. 👍
maybe you could also talk about the origins of these phrases. flying with colors refers to ships returning with national flag and was victorious.

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the lesson. 👍
😢sir i can really express myself very well with basic English whenever i use what i learn from you no one around me gets me right even though our major is English language teaching in Turkiye.that puts me down cuz i just can't find real people who speak advanced English.I have fears that all I learn is forgetful cuz there is almost no use to what i try hard to memorize
That's exactly what my fear is too. Even though english is taught in schools here (where I live) its not good enough. I haven't found any speakers who speak good advance english so deep down I get anxious that I'll lose whatever I've learnt so far. 😢
Thank you so much for sharing

An absolutly great lesson! I've already learned some of them in our Speak-Up lesson, so it was also a good review. As you know, linking is one of the most challenging parts of English learning for me, but I'll keep practicing, because I really believe my comprehenshion skill will improve this way.

Thanks. A nice set of idioms. Can we interchange "crack of dawn" and "break of dawn"?
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the lesson. Yes, you can use either one. I think 'crack' is more common when talking about getting up. 😃
Sending love, thank you very much 🎉🎉🎉

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the lesson. 👍
Wes, I always hit the *LIKE* button. Cheers and love from UK.
Happy to hear that! Thanks for commenting. 👍
Thank you for such a valuable lesson on idioms. I really like the way you CUT TO THE CHASE. Now that I've learned those I'm ON CLOUD NINE. In fact, there is no CUTTING CORNERS when it comes to learning a language. I first CUT MY TEETH on idioms when I was 18 and after a few years struggling to learn most of them, I was AT MY WITS' END. But we need to GIVE OURSELVES SOME SLACK for not knowing many of the idioms because there are just too many. Learning a language is a painstaking process. You can't just FLY BY THE SEAT OF YOUR PANTS because you can GET THE WRONG END OF THE STICK. Learning idioms are fun and we should always GIVE IT A WHIRL. If you can't seem to improve your English like me, just GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD and HIT THE BOOKS. Does it RING ANY BELLS? Please TAKE MY COMMENT WITH A PINCH OF SALT. Just being silly here. 😅
Thank you sooo much for this kinda videos, you have no idea how useful it is to me, I'll keep giving too much likes to your videos, Thank you so much
Happy to hear that! Thanks for your comment. 😊
Thank you, Mr. Wes. It's quite advanced selection and excellent comments of every single idiom. Don't be deeply surprised, but accept my special appreciation for your properly shaved face. Recently a male face without an ugly beard is quite rare on KZhead.
