This is a Tutorial of the new 2022 Porsche Macan and the 2023 Porsche Macan. We will go over standard operations of the Macan. Angela thanks for your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my tutorial. The Macan T is fun. The Sport Chrono dial on the steering wheel is fun! If you press the button in the middle it will unleash some great power for 20 seconds. You can turn it on and off any time. Sport is probably the most fun to drive in and sport plus will feel more like it is set up to go racing.

Quick question, it seems that the manual is not installed in my new macan. Is this something that is installed at the dealership or it is already factory instlalled? (my car is European specs)

Hi Dimitri hope this helps. (1) the car is connected to Porsche with a built in SIM - let’s call it A. SIM A is used by the Porsche Connect system to provide SOS calling and to support the Porsche Connect App features. When you buy the car you create a connect ID and enable these services. SIM A is built into the car on delivery. Depending on your country you get a different period during which this service is free. You should get at least 1 year of free connect services. After that you can extend it for a fee if you still want Porsche Connect services. Sirius radio is free for 3 months.
Hi Alex, Thank you for such an informative video! Can you help me with a silly issue that is bugging me for some time? I get a consistent TPMS warning showing -3pa in one of the tyres and I am unable to reset it.
Good day! Inside of the smaller cluster setting make sure that under the tire pressure setting it does not say full load. Also make sure to check there is not a nail in causing a small leak. Last, but not least is there a Porsche center they can make sure the TPMS sensor is not faulty?

Thanks for posting this. Is there a way to scroll through my favorite XM stations using either the diamond button on the right side of the steering wheel or the arrow button on the left side? I could do this with the diamond button on my '17 Macan, but not my new '22 Macan. Right now, both of those buttons will only advance to the next numerical station, not my next favorite station.
I believe you will only be able to skip to the next Sirius station not your favorite station.
Try using the Porsche Macon voice commands. Click on the blinker button edge and wait for the Macan prompt. Then simply say “hey Porsche” play Margaritaville on Sirius radio or what ever station you prefer.
Hi, thanks for sharing when you turn off the auto start stop engine when you turn the car off does it reengage itself and you have to remember to turn it off every time or is it a one time set it and forget it thanks.
Hi Walter. The auto start stop reengages every time you turn off the car. You will need to press the button every time or go into sport mode to disable. In the past you could program the function off with the key settings. Try pressing the auto start stop button then go to the door and press SET then hold down Key symbol till you hear a beep. Let me know if you have luck.

Ahhh thats RIGHT! I totally forgot about the beloved heated steering wheel button. It is located at the bottom section of the steering wheel. It is on the inside of the lip of the bottom part of the steering wheel.

Thanks for this great run through! ? for you. I am the main driver so I added my iPhone to CarPlay and it works great. When I added my wife's phone to CarPlay and we are both in the car, it doesn't correct to my phone consistently. Sometimes her's will be connected and other times mine. I have removed hers because it was distracting. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks for watching. Under the devices setting just make sure that the desired phone is selected and highlighted. Since your phone is the primary, it will default to that when you get in the car.

With the new touch piano black center counsel, will you see blank spots where an option was not purchased as you did with the previous toggle switches or will the icon be there but not functioning?
With the new center counsel the items that were not added on will not light up. They will be there in certain cases but not display on. It is not as apparent as the previous generation.
Hi in the Navigation is there an option to where it shows you the "next steps" to your destination? Like one of those that shows "Turn right on X street".

Yes, that is normal. The car does not want you to be typing and driving. There is a voice command button on the touchscreen. It looks like a microphone.
My new Macan S 2023 is missing the Comfort Entry features and electrically adjustable steering wheel which I had on my previous Porsche (2016 Macan Turbo). Why? I am also told that Google Earth is no longer accessible. Why, again? Thanks.
2024 Porsche Macan S does not have a cigarette lighter portal in the car. Their port o charge charger requires it. You can arrange for service to do it. Installation $500+ Porsche port o charger costs $215. I'm letting enthusiasts know only, and if, price matters.

Thanks for your kind words. Try turning off the Wifi on your phone while you drive. Let me know if that helps.
Hi mate, I just took delivery of a '22 Macan S (optioned with CarPlay). But somehow it doesn't seems to support wireless CarPlay. My car is Asian-spec. I don't know if it's just different from the US-spec or my car is having some malfunctions with the PCM system. Thank you!
Sorry to hear about that. That might be an Asia spec issue for the wireless CarPlay. Have you used Apple CarPlay wireless before on any other car? Sometimes Apple CarPlay and hey Siri need to be turned on to activate.
Great video. Is there any way to stop CarPlay from always coming on every time I start the car, while keeping it connected?
Thanks for watching. There is not a way to stop it from popping up. You could go onto devices and click on the Bluetooth icon and come back to that same page to turn Apple CarPlay back on by clicking the CarPlay icon. But CarPlay will always connect if Wi-Fi is turned on in your phone.

Good day landlord, I believe that Srini will need to be deactivated every time. On the previous generation Macan, you were able to save it with the key settings.
Hello can you set the app connect to be the whole screen rather than 2/3?
The Macan screen is only available in the 2/3. Ive tried various methods. Its maxes out at 2/3.
How do you get inside car lights to light up when you open the doors.
There is a button on the top portion in front of the rear view mirror. It has a symbol with a door opening. Click it this may be your answer. Seems to work only at night.

I think what you are looking for can be found in the smaller cluster menu in front of steering wheel. It would be found under vehicle settings under S.C

Going to vehicle settings, then going to door and lock settings. There should be a fold mirrors when locking box to check off.
Does the 2024 macan have a permanent moonroof that doesn’t open up? I don’t like the moonroof which opens up to the open air like the Cayenne. Thank you
The Macan moonroof only opens there is not a fixed option

I have a question about the 2024 Macan. When our salesperson showed us the various settings (really fast) he turned off the beeping that tells you if a car is in your blind spot. He said he didn't like it. Well I DO like it. What are the steps to turn that feature back on?
Good evening, the Macan does not make any beeping noises for the Blindspot monitors. It only flashes.

Is there a way to not show notifications on car screen but keep notifications showing on the phone? Also, you can only connect phone through Bluetooth? No plug n play?
There is an option inside of notifications messaging on the phone. You can adjust it to where it doesn’t appear during CarPlay operation.

Hello. I just just bought a Macan MY2022. Every time I hit the road, I get a notification on my dash board saying " speed limit display currently limited". Is their anyway to turn off this notification ?
First try cleaning your windshield so the camera can read traffic signs. From the manual: Speed limit display is temporarily unavailable due to weather conditions or dirt on the windscreen. Windscreen may need cleaning. If the fault persists: Have the fault corrected at a qualified specialist at a Local Porsche center

How to re set the mirror & seat settings on Macan S ? They need to be changed....
Yeah, just set up the new mirror position and the seat position. Then press set and then press whichever number you want to replace. Also press that and then press the key button on the bottom of that panel.

Can someone help with panel buttons. That's confusing to me. Traction control without red is turned on? And i believe everyone should always keep that on, right? But with others controls, turning them red means on?
The Traction control is off automatically. There is no need to press the button. Just leave the Traction control on. When you hold the button down for a few seconds it turns Traction control off.

As much as I love the truck, I just don't use it as intended and it's silly parking this beast around here in these little towns. There are so many roads the Macan (GTS) is made for here. MSRP - most excellent! A Doctor I work with has a relationship with a Porsche dealer in LA who I just sent my tentative build sheet to this past weekend - via the Doc. This was a Macan S. In the line up of trim levels this is level 2 from the top of 3 levels. The variants are Macan, Macan S and Macan GTS. The Macan with equipment can run $67,000-$80,000 on average. Macan S is $78,000-$90,000. The Macan GTS can range $98,000-$120,000. Of course you can get more expensive on any one of these models. These numbers are just averages.
2024 Porsche Macan S is not capable of syncing the rear and front wipers. Rear engages only in reverse or manually. You never realize or discover all the dead ends until you take possession of your new luxury auto. ➕️ there's only two portals for your cellphone. 😢😢😢 The radio can't be turned off, only muted. Ohh the agony.
What is Auto Rest, please?
Hello Joe. He will typically use this when it is colder outside. You would press it before turning off your car. Look at your AUTO climate control button. On the driver's side REST is printed in small letters next to AUTO. To activate the function turn off the car and press the AUTO/REST button. The heat will keep circulating for up to 20 minutes. So you will notice the fans after you turn off the car. If you were running into the store really quick. You’ll get back into the car and it will be nice and toasty if it’s less than 20 minutes. Keep in mind this does pull some energy from the battery. When You get back in the car and start it the system goes back into auto mode.

Porsche, you could've done better with two things. 1ST. The Nav looks outdated & 2nd. You should have an all digital screen for the drivers info. I.E speedometer, & RPM. It's 2022... not 2017

Good evening Albert. I did some digging and Macan does not have android auto available yet according to the configurator at Porsche USA. We currently have it in other models not the Macan yet. Wireless apple carplay is the only Porsche native application available on Macan at the moment. Sorry to miss inform. Will delete last response.
Why not just recommend the AUTO AC?
Personally, I do not like the auto AC because I live in Texas. When you choose the auto AC, it sends the air out of the top, the bottom and the middle air vents. In Texas most people want the air right on the body. Most people in hotter climates set temp to Lo or 60 degrees. When this happens, the fan speed is full blast on auto AC.
Gas cap? Exposed rear wiper? Analog plastic gauges? No push to start? No wireless CarPlay? Bruh this car is 5 years behind even the most basic of cars.
Where is the phone charger? 🤔
There is a phone charger in the middle center console. it might be wireless if you added on the option or just plug-in.
And what if I use an android phone and will never use an Apple phone?
At the moment Porsche Macan does not have the android auto option. When Porsche was originally doing the research, we found that only 10% of our customers had androids. they just started incorporating android auto into Cayenne, Taycan and 911 for 2023. Im very sorry about this 🥲

Glare, now that's an issue for ownership. Sorry officer I was distracted by the glare. Adaptive cruise control not standard? Really! Even ordinary cars have that. I don't go with the 'but this is a premium adaptive'. Volvo is always the innovator there, even Mercedes was behind them.
Thanks for the observation. The glare was due to the angle that I had the GoPro. From the normal driving situation the Glare is not as noticeable. We have never had a customer complain about glare of the thousands of Macan’s we have sold through my store. Also ACC is now standard on the Macan. It was an option in the past because not everyone like the robotic feeling of ACC. Most porsche drivers enjoy driving their car not putting them into cruise control. Good look with your Volvo my grand parents love theirs!
