    • Nope, they'll never do that, Shirley - it's not how running a YT account works. They don't _want_ you to know if you've seen it before - they just want you to click play! A digital agency's sole raison d'etre is clicks, views, comments, and likes for their client = more exposure = front page of YT = more ad revenue. Also drives people to new show on Sky. Which in turn gives RH's agent better bargaining power over RH's future fees. This channel isn't operated for our convenience!

    • It's psychologically manipulative, but it's not technically gaslighting - where the victim questions their _perception of reality_ literally believing themselves to be going mad - leading to psychological dependence on their perpetrator. A good political eg is the Stasi - as late as the 1970s - employing state-sanctioned psychological harassment techniques designed to paralyse political dissidents - they even had a name for it - *_Zersetzung._* (good Wiki page if you're into research) I think what you've described is straightforward deception. That's cause the Europeans, and especially the British destroyed all their storage cause of the green push, which has understandably had a knock on affect for prices. Europe which has more nat gas than the US and used to produce more nat gas than any other continent. So yeah it's very reasonable to blame these prices on green policies, since countries that didn't go the green route (to our extreme) had prices 1/10th of ours!!

    • Yep - and as a HGV driver all through this(last 8 years) the only jobs that can't get drivers - are jobs from companies that should be arrested and closed down - as had plenty wanting driver's to break the law, drive unsafe vehicles as they don't want to spend the money - had more than a few like that with agencies - that is why it is the same companies advertising all the time for HGV drivers, and 9 times out of 10 all the driving staff there are agency and been there less than a year. The HGV transportation industry needs serious over hall to protect the drivers - as must issue the driver can get up to £5,000 fine or up to 2 years in jail, vs the management well if you don't do it you are sacked (had that more than a few times) Hence why I am now looking at going back to accounts and office work. Love HGV driving - meet some real good people in that industry - it just isn't worth it.

I have always enjoyed Russell and his style of comedy, but the repetitive outdated content is frustrating to the point I'm thinking of unsubscribing. Either set up a second channel or mark this content title with the prefix highlights.

  • In some ways, I miss Boris with the Pepper Pig and Sesame Street gaffes, out of five Tory Prime Ministers he has been the best of a bad bunch. In spite of that I hope they win 0 seats next GE, not that it'll happen but there you go

  • that isn true that brexit caused it. it was actually by us being in the eu in the logistics industry because of how many were coming from europe the pay and working conditions got massivelyworse because there was a huge people in europe they couldreplace british workers with for far less money. greedy logistics companies andthe government caused that mess

  • I don't think being in the EU would help with the driver shortage problem considering the same thing happened in France and Germany. The problem is we "took back control" and handed that control to an incompetent government. We can have good immigration policy without the EU, just the tories are possibly the worst people for the job.

    • Almost there - they weren't an '' incompetent government.'' They never wanted it to work, so they could force UK back into the eu. Everything possible was done to create delays and disturbance. So that they could turn and go ''See we need to be in the eu'' - a lot of back handed deals were going on, plus many of those in charge over Brexit - guess where they and their families have huge amounts of shares - and stood too loose small fortunes if we left.

  • Blaming Brexit 😂😂😂 How many YEARS have the trucking industry had to hire more people? It doesn’t take long to qualify, my friend has just done it! Plus you totally overlooked Covid and the fact people in the DVLA and test centres was forced to have months of work! Which caused huge delays to have the license issued to new drivers. Remember the government originally did not want to go into lockdown. 😉

  • This happened in the USA in 1970s there was no fuel because our government failed at regulation. So they developed a law that required the US stockpile oil and sell it back into the market if our oil companies didn't produce enough oil that year or if they caused the prices to go higher. It's been working ever since!

  • 1. Their net profit in 2020 was minus 20 billion. In 2022 it was minus 2 billion. This is how the oil industry works. They lose a lot of money some years and make it back in other years. 2. They paid massive taxes on the profits. It's not as simple as "they made lots of money this year".
