Team Marble Battle - Multiplying Mayhem (Chaos League S1 Finale)
Chaos League is my marble race series that spawns YOU in. Create your character with custom images, colors, victory messages and more. Climb the leaderboards and see how you rank among the competition. How do I join? It’s simple, just become a valid patron at / doodlechaos and you will be spawned in to the next Chaos League video automatically! The higher tier you pick, the easier it will be to spot your character in the crowd. (PSA: If you cancel before the video comes out, I won't be able to draw your information from the API and you won't spawn in. Custom pledges below "Doodler" tier will not spawn in.)
Welcome to episode 4 of Chaos League. As usual, I've built a completely new Unity project for this competition. This time, you're divided into two teams in an @mikan2d-style inspired battle. However, my new twist is that each of your marbles has an individual power level, allowing for huge swing plays to be made be anybody with a little luck.
I tried to make the simulation as self explanatory as possible. One important balancing mechanic you can't see is that the releasing mechanism speeds up proportionally to how many players have been eliminated on your team. I've also added a centerpiece which I refer to in the code as the gold "battle perch". Holding the battle perch will drip feed you points at an ever increasing rate (+1, +2, +3, +4... etc). If you have any other questions about how this works let me know in the comments and I will answer as many as I can.
Now that S1 is completed, I'll be making some new improvements to the Chaos League! My plan is to transition the character profiles and stats to a real time database that you can interact with via a discord bot I'm working on. This opens up the door for more skill / strategy based gameplay via interactive livestreams, rather than just pure RNG that it is right now. It also makes it possible to give utility to the points you have earned! Very excited, so stay tuned!

SPOILERS: Ironically enough, the losing team may have lost by their own doing. At 4:08, someone with 437 power puts up hundreds of blocks for the Red team. This is really good at first, but there's so many blocks that a few of them get on top of the death trap door. When the blue team is finally able to get through the big block pile and activate the death trap at 6:51, the stray blocks keep the trap wedged open permanently and everyone in the red team is doomed to fall through.
yup, that was very unfortunate for red team. It turned a dire situation into a guaranteed loss.

Reds trapdoor was being held open by their own blocks That was some bad luck
@@DelPlays It didnt do nothing. They definitely protected the button that activates their death door. Red just had no offense to contribute during that time. They also had to mount a comeback that wasnt meant to be.

Y'know even if they still lost in the end due to the jank of their own death pit being stuck open, that was a hell of a comeback from Red. They went to 30 nearly immediately but managed to bring Blue down with them.

This was 100% the best one so far!! apart from my 4 second screen time (lol), I still got to root for red team and still felt involved even after death. thouroughly enjoyed this through and through, hope to see more team stuff in the future! :D random comments: bossfight was a great choice of music for this, same as the second one I hadn't heard before now, but was real good :) I felt bad for red team at the end, their own power was what defeated them with the blocks blocking the barrier, rip lol. also at 3:50 Emmly Langner is the MVP, protecting the button from blue team and saving many lives lol, thank you for your service to red team o7

I think I need a better explanation of what is happening here. What are the blocks that spawn in doing?
If the intended design was for the high tier patreons to go into the team sorting machine first, I would consider swapping the middle and right pipes. 2 out of 3 of the high tier balls got bounced away from the center at the very beginning.
There is so much RNG I think the order doesn't matter much, but that is interesting to think about if it increases your average survival duration.
@@DoodleChaos I admit, though, that I wouldn't want to lose too much RNG because I wouldn't want this to turn into a pay-to-win sort of scenario.

I think it is supposed to go away when your points have activated the laser or the blocks and only remain if you fell through the doubling holes
