Bad boy Mz rambler 42” single or twin kohler.

Scag Liberty is 36 48 52 or 61” kawasaki maybe a kohler with pro filter this year like the freedom z if we get low on kawasaki again. Liberty 52” as pictured was $116 a month 48 months 0%. 5 year warranty is capped at 750 hours awesome!!!

$2800 to $5200 range of mowers!! Review comparison.
Please keep in mind the dash xd is rated for 3/4 of an acre a week 26 times a year.
The ezt transmission mowers are rated for no more than an acre and a half.
The 2800 serviceable transmission can run cooler for longer periods of time. They are rated for no more than 2 acres, but I would still try to stay in the acre and a half range.
Stay tuned for my next video on the 3100 transmission mowers I call them estate class mowers.

  • I bought a raptor SD 1.5 years ago for $4k. I liked that it was shorter in length than others brands models in the same price range. Hustlers integrated brake is convenient and just makes sense.. I've put 210 hours on it so far, great size and it has been reliable. Hustler called the SD a residential mower, but it had all the commercial features I needed for the type/number of yards I mow. I did add some anti scalp wheels (42" deck only had one) and made my own deck flap lift for when the grass is tall or wet or to get through narrow gates. I've grossed $25k with the Hustler and she's got plenty of life left.

    • Definately not. You have to ask. On Scag and grasshopper they all do, but the raptor x, bad boy magnum, and all other brands etc all have sealed in their bottom tier machines. It’s all about the price. Serviceable are a little higher. Scag does have a 42” Liberty now a hair over 5k with a 5 year 750 hour warranty that’s pretty sweet :)

I did have an issue with deck blowout like you described in your video, and I bought the Hoover baffle about two months after I purchased the mower. The baffle eliminated the problem. Total cost including shipping was less than $120. I noticed that the list price of the Freedom has gone up over $700 since I bought mine. Is this happening as drastically with the other manufacturers? Keep up the good work on the videos!

    • Ok so there is a dealer that has that mower on sale for $2999 in Pryor, Oklahoma. It has a 13 Guage deck, so it’s not gonna stay level as easy. Also it’s going to be prone to bending on the tabs much easier. There is a huge difference in quality of the frame work, and the deck support etc over the lt1. We really don’t have many cud cadets running around here, so most people don’t ask about them at all. If you go with the bad boy you get a 7 Guage deck, 11 Guage 2x2 frame, and it’s built like the m1 abrams tank $15k cub cadet for $3300.

    • Anything commercial. Please go commercial and with any brand you should be good. Around $8k is where the full commercial starts with just about any. The nicer the mower the better the experience. If you could swing the next class around 10 to 11k your getting in the much better mowers.

This model appears to be popular and a little harder to find for that reason. I can't judge the dependability as I have only mowed the yard twice but everything else on the mower is very nice and working fine so far. I added options for the run hour timer, arm backrests, recycler/mulcher, towing bracket, deck lift assist and cover.

    • I’m sure. It’s hit and miss with equipment. I believe most peoples issues are the dealer. Like the sdx will cut a lot better in tall grass with more aggressive blades like g6s. On bolts vibrating loose that’s pretty normal, on the glitchy hydros something definately needed address their because they are smoother than any mower Ive ever drove normally. We did have some issues with the transmission. Bolts working loose, and breaking the support between the trans, but they had an upgrade for it when it happened.

  • You mentioned the suspension seat with a dial can be added to any Scag, can you make a video or try and fit one to a LibertyZ and tell me how much trouble there is? I have the suspension seat from trac seats, the same one found on the Patriot and it does not sit well with the Liberty Z. I made a video and I've had nothing but problems, not to mention I had to bypass the safety switch which I don't feel right about. I'm on my last leg with Scag, you probably know me as the guy that bought three of them and had nothing but problems and my local dealers ghosting me, from engine issues, quality control issues, etc and I'm fit to be tied with Scag. Now I have a bad back and I need a good suspension seat, the one with a dial on the front seems to be the best, if you can make one fit on a liberty Z, I'll buy the seat from you.

    @morejelloplease@morejelloplease Жыл бұрын
    • So the cool think you can make any seat fit any of them. You can just directly wire in the safety switch if the wire plug is different. We have had to bend the handles, add a longer extension to them, or upgrade the handles too the bigger mower ones to make them work, but it can be done. Sometimes we have to drill extra couple of holes in the seat pan is the worst we have had to do

      @kgmowers@kgmowers Жыл бұрын
    • @@kgmowers I can't find who sells the seat safety switch connector, i wanted to build my own extension because no one sells them. the wire on the liberty Z is too short to reconnect to the safety switch when you add the suspension seat found on the liberty. IMO that suspension seat is junk, so many issues. the seat with the dial like on the turf tiger is where it's at. If i could add one to the liberty Z without being raised 4-6 inches higher i'd do it. the trac seat co. wants you to add washers, drill holes, etc and it turned out to be a nightmare. the safety switch on the liberty Z is a 4 wire NO/NC switch and has shorting pins so rewiring it takes a bit of time and understanding of how their safety switch works. the switch is made by delta but the actual male and female connectors are unavailable, and from what i see on scags' schematic they aren't available for purchase. in a nut shell i'm trying to add a nice seat to my liberty Z since i have a bad back and retain the safety switch without breaking the bank :)

We get between $3 and $3.50 a loaded mile depending on distance/load/etc. I’m located in Paris, Tx. Several guys have got 3 or 4 to get one with them and shared the shipping expense and it was very worth it that way for all of us.

    @ajbrown2013@ajbrown20132 жыл бұрын
    • For the companies that add it in their cash price is with it figured in. So when you pay cash your paying around 5% for someone else to have financing. That’s why bad boy and Spartan take off the whole fee and don’t pay for any upfront. It’s a very deceptive practice to them to not be transparent. That’s why it’s around 9% more to finance 0% instead of 4% with the other guys.

Had the hydro-drive brackets replaced, cracked fenders, severe vibration noise etc etc, etc. I have found that Hustler will work with you until they decide not to. My case was escalated to Nick (Sr. product representative). After failed attempts at a repair, Nick would not return any phone calls. The case was then escalated to the next level (Ken Coker). Ken provides nothing more than lip service. He did call me once. When I provided video proof of the complaint, he failed to ever contact me again. The mower is still under warranty, the dealer will not do anything more and tells me that Hustler will not do anything more. I would never touch another Hustler mower, ever. Hustler will not honor the warranty if it is not a very simple problem. Either they don't know, or don't care about fixing a customer's mower.

I know bad boy has done it many times if one of the girls get cussed at or someone gets angry on the phone. I have a big customer that still buys mowers but knows he has no warranty whatsoever from the factory level of any machine he purchases. We have several customers that when we submit warranty they are automatically declined due to an ugly phone call, or someone mentioning a law suit or getting a lawyer usually does it. So far this has been the only reason. I’ve never had the plant just say they were done with a mower unless it’s not at a dealership getting serviced.
