  • Batflecks combat IQ in BvS was peak. Most realistic use of his martial arts skills mixed with the advantages of his Batsuit. Didnt use over the top fancy moves to dispatch opponents, simple but brutal disarms and strikes. He understood he was at a disadvantage at certain times even when getting the drop on them during their anticipated attack. Made adjustments as the combat progressed. Definitely the Batman we all imagined whether we wanted him or not. The only other Batman that’s close is Battinson now. But that character uses alot more hand to hand combat, less environmental utilization. This Batman was supremely environmental. Hand to Hand was saved as a final option to preserve himself.

    • The Snyder version of this character is misunderstood I think. He presents us with a broken hero who is now killing. The idea of hope, presented by superman opens his road to redemption. Snyder presents us with an older Batman who has strayed from the path. BvS is really about redemption, Jeremy irons Alfred explains it to the audience.

    • I honestly don't know about absolutes such as faith, but it appears to me that the older, broken batman presented to us by Snyder has a redemption arc in front of him. if he were to rely on faith alone, he might not ever get to where he started{take on crime, make a difference, etc}, so perhaps the christ like superman becomes Batmans vehicle for redemption?? we can certainly see by the end of bvs that Wayne is inspired by the sacrifice to find again his "faith" in humanity, but also his realisation that, with the best of intentions, he had become that which he set out to fight?@@zachmondrala8614

    • @@zachmondrala8614 couldn't agree with you more. Wayne eventually realises that he had become his own monster. Without Clarkes sacrifice he would probably have continued killing. The sacrifice that was made to save humanity was made by a non human, and not for personal gain. If that couldn't make Wayne realise that he had become the monster, then there could be no redemption. I honestly don't get all the bat fleck/snyder hate. It is probably one of the best representations of hope/redemption that Hollywood has given us in several years.

  • That apocalyptic Batman fight scene will always be one of the best in my books. Its one of the only sequences that displays Batman's full unrestricted range of brutality. He would be such a much more terrifying force if he had no moral conflict with killing enemies rather than using non-lethal takedowns. They need to drop the full movie of what that clip is based on already 😂
