  • Thank you!!!!! Finally someone that just gets to the point. Knows how to shoot a video and work at the same time. No stupid ass music in the beginning. No sitting on the mower for 5 min before ever starting. You know how to edit your videos so we don't have to see the fumbles and bs of shooting a video. Just simple and to the freaking point. No lie I watched(started) at least 6 videos before finally finding yours. Again thank you!!!

  • You are checking the oil level wrong after filling up the engine. You are supposed to let the dipstick bottom out but DO NOT SCREW THE DIPSTICK DOWN. Just pull out the dipstick again, wipe it off, and reinsert it again to check the oil level. When you're satisfied with the oil level, then reinsert the dipstick and firmly screw it down. See page 13 of the Kawasaki engine manual under oil preparation.

  • You didn't level the trailer before adding the oil, doesn't that affect your level? Also my dipstick says dont screw it down? Also I have 2 fuel filters on mine, one is down lower than that, i guess thats the evaoporative fuel filter it mentions in the manual, i dont understand how you are supposed to get to that one i have a husler raptor limited so maybe your model doesnt have it

    • Hi. My bad,Ishould have stated socket size for spark plugs. I ended up using a 16mm for them. So far, my first ever tune up on this Hustler is a sucesss, thanks in partto your video. Mine is a Kohler engine, a little different set up,but the vid. covered the basic idea. Thanks again. I subscribed.

  • Thanks for the video! I have this exact mower, and I neglected to change the fuel filter. With 280hrs, it began to sputter and run a little rough. Changed the fuel filter and plugs and it runs like new again. Fuel filter will be every spring from here on out. I will say, the old filter was doing it's job!

  • If you put a small amount of dielectric grease inside your spark plug boots, your boots will no longer stick to the porcelain of the spark plug and will remove easily. Just use a small quantity of the dielectric grease using a Q tip where the spark plug contacts the rubber boot.

  • I have a mower with Kawasaki FX691V engine. When you check the engine oil level you don’t screw the cap down. Just put it in the and pull it back out to get the proper oil level. That’s in my owners manual for the motor.

  • Use a torque wrench and anti seize the spark plugs. Make sure you gap them properly with a feeler gauge before you install them. Often times they come brand new not gapped properly. Do not regap used spark plugs

    @jdirty3460@jdirty34604 жыл бұрын
    • Thanks for the tips!!

      @D.Stephenson@D.Stephenson3 жыл бұрын
    • Some of the plug manufacturers (NGK is one of them) is telling their customers not to install some of their plugs using anti-seize. If the plug threads that you buy appear shiny, do not use anti-seize. The manufacturer has already installed anti-seize on it. If the threads on the plug appear dull, you can use anti-seize if you desire. What is wrong with regapping used spark plugs? As long as the center conductor is not worn down or worn away, it seems like regapping would be better than reinstalling plugs that aren't properly gapped.

  • Any advice on choosing a raptor sd vs fastrak sd 54”? I not do it commercially but I’ll have 2 yards to do this season about 5 acres and trying to pick up 1 or two more yards.

    @robking5096@robking50965 жыл бұрын
    • The fastrak is going to be a have better build qualities than the raptor. But, it depends on your budget and what your end goal is. If you're just doing those couple properties, you could save some money and buy the raptor. Just my 2 cents

      @D.Stephenson@D.Stephenson5 жыл бұрын
    • Rob King I’m looking at the fastrak sdx 54. I have about 2 acres....but it a lil hilly and not the smoothest yard and both my neighbors have 3+ acres, so we can help each other out if one of our mowers are down. I can even pick up a few yards on the side if I wanted. My dealer wants $7400....I don’t know if that’s a fair price or not.

    • I’m on my second Raptor 48 SD, has proven its worth!! I mow roughly 40 cuts a week... damn tough mower. Father in law has a Fastrak, an excellent mower! BUT, for the cost, the Raptor SD line is very tough! I’m light commercial, changing blades every week. On the Raptor the grass chute is horribly little and will clog on long wet grass. Keep an eye on that. Other than that. Two great mowers, price and objective is the key to buying. Cheers!

  • Use a torque wrench to install new plugs, like you are supposed to do, and you should never have future problems installing or removing plugs in the future. The spark plug gap is .030 in. on the NGK BPR4ES plug and they should be torqued to 16 ft-lbs.

On a good day you'll break your watch, on a bad day you'll lose your left ring finger or entire left hand. A 12 volt mower battery has enough potential energy to put you in a really bad place.
