И стал он очень велик и разбогател, были у него стада мелкого и крупного скота и большое хозяйство. И стали филистимляне завидовать ему. И завалили филистимляне землёй все колодцы, которые вырыл отец его Авраам», - гласит библейский текст. Налицо явный захват и уничтожение чужого имущества. Да не просто имущества, а колодцев со столь драгоценной на Ближнем Востоке водой! Чем не повод для войны? Но будучи по натуре человеком мирным, Ицхак не захотел ввязываться в этот конфликт и просто перешёл на другое место и отрыл новые колодцы. Но и туда пришли филистимляне, заявив свои права на только что отрытые им колодцы. И так продолжалось несколько раз, пока не ушёл Ицхак до самой Беэр-Шевы! Но и туда пришли филистимляне вместе со своим царьком Авимелехом и военачальником Фихолем для «серьезного разговора». Но услышав с Небес: «не бойся, ибо Я с тобой!», Ицхак, похоже, был готов дать в этот раз отпор. И почувствовав эту перемену, видя, что в каждом новом месте Творец благословляет Ицхака свежими колодцами, захватчики изменили тон. «- Для чего вы пришли ко мне? - спросил у них Ицхак. - Вы же ненавидите меня и гоните прочь. - Мы убедились наглядно, что Б-г с тобою, - ответили они. - И решили заключить с тобой договор, чтобы ты не причинил нам вреда, как если бы мы не трогали тебя». Они гнали человека с места на место, угрожали ему и его семье, уничтожали раз за разом в погроме его имущество. А теперь хотят сделать вид, «как если бы» этого ничего не было! В сущности, в этом библейском сюжете обозначены две не просто главные, а единственные причины той ужасающей резни, которую устроили нелюди из ХАМАСа в израильских приграничных поселках: зависть и ненависть. Те же самые зависть и ненависть, которые съедали четыре тысячи лет назад филистимлян в древнем Ханаане, теперь съедают живущих в Газе так называемых палестинцев. Зависть к тому, что евреи, вернувшись на свою историческую родину, преобразили бесплодный клочок земли между морем и Иорданом в цветущий сад, разрешили многовековые проблемы с нехваткой воды, построили с нуля высокотехнологичную промышленность, развили туризм и в итоге превратили весьма скромную по размерам страну в богатейшую и сильнейшую региональную державу. И эта зависть порождает, как это тоже не раз бывало в истории, слепую, яростную и животную ненависть, которая зачастую идёт в ущерб прежде всего её носителям. Ненависть, заставляющую засыпать даже столь бесценные в регионе колодцы с водой, которые достались им даром. И это очень точная аналогия - достались даром. В 2005 году евреи без всякого боя оставили сектор Газа, передав свои благоустроенные поселения и сельскохозяйственные угодья живущим там «палестинцам». Но вместо того, чтобы превратить сектор в новый Лас-Вегас и Лазурный берег одновременно и всю жизнь почивать на лаврах и доходах, «палестинцы» тут же сровняли с землей бывшие еврейские поселения, уничтожили сады, поля и теплицы, превратив всё это в тренировочные базы для боевиков и плацдармы для нанесения ракетных ударов по Израилю. Животная ненависть к евреям, жажда их крови и полного уничтожения оказалась столь велика, что превзошла вполне естественные и присущие человеку стремления обеспечить своё благополучие и будущее своих детей. Более того - они поставили на карту свои жизни и жизни своих детей, совершив 7 октября жуткое и невиданное доселе по жестокости нападение на Израиль. А теперь, когда Израиль даёт настоящий отпор, террористы и их приспешники по всему миру требуют от Израиля миролюбия - «как если бы ничего не было»! Они прекрасно знают, какие чудовищные преступления они совершили, но просят не причинять им в ответ вреда - «как если бы мы тебя не трогали». Это, пожалуй, всё, что нужно знать и о тех, и о нынешних «палестинцах». Но как я уже отметил выше, я нахожу в строках этой главы и повод для надежды. Отражён он в первых же её словах: «Ва-эйле толдот Ицхак бен-Авраам» - «Вот порождения Ицхака, сына Авраама», если переводить дословно. Но у понятия «толдот» есть и другие значения: не только «порождения», но и «родословная». И даже больше - «история». Таким образом, эти слова можно перевести как: «Вот история Ицхака, сына Авраама». И сегодня евреи не только единственный народ, который говорит, читает и пишет на том же языке, что и его предки четыре тысячи лет назад. Мы еще и народ, досконально, по миллиметрам знающий всю свою историю, начиная с самого момента нашего зарождения. Причем история эта отнюдь не комплиментарная, призванная показать великие страницы и сложить героический эпос, а зачастую горькая и порой даже очень обидная для нас же самих. Такая обидная, какой бывает только правда. Но от этого история не должна не писаться. «Йидн, шрайбт ун фаршрайбт!» - «Евреи, пишите и записывайте!» - кричал наш великий историк Семён Дубнов, когда немцы гнали его на расстрел. Мы записывали всё, что с нами происходило в прошлом, и продолжаем это делать в настоящем.

    • Yeah, the Titan upfront would have been much much smarter because He could Break the enemies first rank and stop their Charge. After that YOUR troops charge in and build a Phalanx. The Titan steps on all the spiders and tanks Arrows and after the Phalanx has created He moves out of the way (to rest or something If he needs to)

    • Beginning quote is actually a line from a Cimmerian elder to Conan when he returns home during the course of the expanded novels. The Cimmerian people were dirt poor and surrounded by hostile nations that frequently raided them for slaves but they definitely regarded themselves as superior to the more established Hyborian kingdoms to the south, where soft living and freedom from violence were normal.
