      @nosser2414@nosser24143 жыл бұрын
    • @@nosser2414 yeah. It's hard to pinpoint a checklist of skills, since there is such a variety. Example: shooting 3's can be broken down so many ways - catch and shoot, picknroll, off ball screens, 1v1 etc. To be more broad about it, i'd say KD is a better shooter from distance than Jordan. He's probably got a bettter handle going "east-west" and able to pull up quickly off those type of moves. Even has a little floater game that MJ didn't have. MJ's midrange game and pull-up J going "north-south" is better. MJ has more acrobatic finishing around the rim and is better able to score through contact, while KD is more elusive. So hard to compare a skilled 6'6 slasher to a skilled 7ft shooter.

    @Sizdothyx@Sizdothyx4 жыл бұрын
    • @Infiniti Only Analytics work when they have a margin to work by. The problem with using analytics in the play-offs is that those margins are THREE TIMES less likely to come by at BEST because: you're working with a smaller sample size, therefore an environment more prone to outliers and of double the collective talent level. People praise Warriors for using "analytics", but you don't need fucking analytics to put money on a team with Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Wardell Stephen Curry the Second to go far. Analytics work in the regular season because of the tendency of the averages to swing back, but playing 20 games during the playoffs in high-intensity elimination rounds? Nope.

      @l9ikjam@l9ikjam3 жыл бұрын
    • @@l9ikjam Ok so let’s compare these 2 seasons : In 13-14, Durant averaged 32ppg, 5.5 apg, 7.4 reb pg, 1.3 stl and 0.7 block pg. He had an efg% of .560 and averaged 20.8 field goals attempts pg. He had a PER of 29.8, a BPM of 10.2, a VORP of 9.6, and an offensive BPM of 8.8 and defensive BPM of 1.4. And in 12-13, Lebron averaged 26.8ppg, 7.3apg, 8reb pg, 1.7 stl and 0.9 block. He had an efg% of .603 and averaged 17.8 FGA pg. He had a PER of 31.6, a BPM of 11.7 and VORP of 9.9, and also an offensive BPM of 9.3 and defensive BPM of 2.4. So Lebron was better offensively, he scored less but was way more efficient, and his offensive contribution was about the same because he averaged 2 apg more, wich mean 4 to 6 points so 26.8 + 4 or 6= 30.8 to 32.8. So same offensive contribution, but way more efficient. And he was also better defensively, averaging more rebounds, steals and blocks. Durant was close, but Lebron on his prime, is the best player of all time on his prime, so very difficult to be better.

And MJ and KD also created easy looks for themselves off the ball.

    • Riqui Kobe played off the ball so well, KD is not a better scorer than T-Mac or KB. Both played against the toughest guard era and have a more complete game than KD. Getting to your spot for a jumper is not everything, KD relies on his jumper more than the other 3 because he has the length and height to do so. Kobe’s footwork, postgame, ability to draw fouls, dribble moves and finishing at the rim is all better than Durants.

    • In his prime 13-14 szn, I personally would give him a 97-98, only thing that doesn’t make him a 99 is he needed to be slightly either more dominant on defense or slightly better passer, but not to take away from what KDs underrated Defense already is imo and a good team player as well swinging the ball.
