Oh yeah, Jer is back! Really nice cyclone. Looking forward to the blower video
SHHHHH!!! Shut up dude! Jeremy is like a baby deer or a butterfly, if he knows you see him, you’ll scare him away. You have to let him come to you lol
Marius! My two favourite makers Marius and Jer in the same place, one night only!!
It’s great to see Marius’ comment on Jer’s work. I was thinking as I watched how these 2 young men are so very much alike in their dedication to quality and perfection in their work. Thank you both.

Jer, I know you don't post often, so it's always a nice surprise to see a new video from you. Your projects are always so well thought out, and I appreciate the thought and effort that go into sharing them with all of us. Cheers. JB
The QRcode on the screen in the office got me! I got successfully rickrolled 😂 genius idea!
It's so good to see you're making content again. Best wishes from England 🇬🇧
Ditto. Dk
Glad to see you making content again. You were one of the original people I had watched and was sorry to see you go. Welcome Back.
You have been missed. Very much. For you are one of the great DIY'rs on KZhead. And we love what ever you do. kind Sir. Welcome back.
Looks, like you’ve gone through a lot since the last video. Welcome back. We are here for you. 👍🏻😃
Frickin' QR code. Gets me every time.
Like everyone else, I’m glad to see you back, you know it seems every time I watch a Mathias video you’d come to mind. Hope all is well.
18:41 "Sometimes figuring out a faster way to do something is slower than just doing it the slow way". A thousand programmer souls cried in unison here. Programmers can spend hours making something to automate a 10 minute task.
^ story of my life 😆😅
Getting the notice that you had a new video was like being told a good friend was back in town. Thanks.
When I saw that QR code on your laptop @1:04, my immediate thought was "this had better be a rickroll"
No questions, I just have to say it is so good to see you "in action". 👋🏻🌿
1:05 - yeah I fell for it. You earned yourself a thumbs up. Very glad to see this vid. Looking forward to more build videos!
ALSO fell for it haha!. Curiosity got the best of me. So good to see another video though!
haven't fallen for one of those in years!
Yup I fell for it too..
I don't get it

Fantastic to see a new video from you. I was just on my way to bed, but now I'm watching a video instead I guess!
When the world needed him the most, he returned...
Glad to see you still making content!
Jeremy, it’s great to see you posting content again, and sharing your skills with us all. My sons and I think of you every time we use our 2” x 72” belt grinder: which we built together, using your superb plans.
Thank you!
Me dum dum. Me feel like dum dum watching Jer Schmidt video. 😂. LOL. Your attention to detail and solution finding to “road blocks” in your design and builds are so impressive!! Been waiting for over a year for another one of your projects to drop. So glad you’re still out there producing and innovating! Keep them coming please.
LOL love the QR code, the geek in me had to check it out.
Watching you create precise, robust tools has always been a joy. I'm so glad you have a shop again!
In answer to the sealant question, automotive seam sealer. This sort of application is exactly what it's designed to do. Also, if you use a hammer to relieve the bending stresses as you form the sheet metal you'll have an easier time of it as you progress around the form. In any case, fantastic work as always. Good to see you post again.
This was a welcomed surprise. Its great to have you back!
Thanks god, both "brains" are back "on air". Marius and Jer are making videos again. It was a poor lonesome time without you two. Greetings from southern Germany....
Great project. So good to see you posting again! 👌
I have enjoyed your work. I am sorry to hear that some of the items you had from the past are no longer with you, but you can build more. I hope you have found a path and a place that makes you happy.
That QR code you 'hid' was such an epic troll 🤣 Great to see you back with a shop.
It makes me so happy to see you again man you have no idea how.
Imagine my surprise seeing a notification from "Jer". Glad to see that you're doing well and this is a nice project. Looking forward to the next parts.
glad to see you back!
It's fun to be in the shop by yourself at nighttime right ! 👍
Hooray! I'm glad to see you having good fun again!
I've thought many times I'd like to see you do a colab with Matthias and then you mentioned him. That was one step in the right direction. Let's make this happen. Keep up the great work, by the way.
Welcome back. We miss your well deigned projects and hope you will do more.
Welcome back! You are one of the reasons I started my channel.
Good to see you back buddy, hope life is now treating you good!
Always a pleasure to watch you work, Jer. I kept thinking, "He should have a slip roll." Then I could easily imagine bending and forming the sheet metal in whatever ways I could come up with. I am eager to see the continuation. Well done!
Thanks! A slip roll would be nice, but I kinda like finding ways to make things without the “right” tool.
It's great to see you back on YT Jer! Great video and build, thank you!
Welcome back, Jer! See, told you we'll be here when you were ready! :)
I have missed your videos man! Glad to have you back!
You have crazy good skills. A tip on cutting thin metal with a jig saw I learned while building a Teardrop camper is to place the metal on a sheet of 2" foam board. It will support the metal and allow to cut into the foam board.
Really amazing to see somebody building Penz's design by hand. I thought about it long and hard, but I don't have your welding skills, so kudos for you for taking this on, and for sharing with the rest of us.
Look who's finally back. Great to see you again.
Been doing this for over 40 years and have to say I’m pretty impressed!
So glad to see an update from you! I hope you are doing well I revisit several of your videos regularly. Like every month or so. Many of them are wonderful I just watched your ruler sheath video two nights ago.. Such a great example of prototyping and troubleshooting through multiple iterations until finding a perfect design that works for you. You’re a real inspiration to guys like me. I’m a little bit older than you but I’ve spent a lot of time teaching younger folks everything from woodworking to blacksmithing and machining. you’re a real inspiration to younger folks, (and older folks for that matter) and your work is always top notch.
I watch them too!
Very happy to see you posting again. In my opinion you are one of the most talented ones on YT regarding craftsmanship, production, and content. Hope to see more in the future. No pressure though.
I'm glad to see you post again. I hope everything is going well.
Welcome back! We are never going to give you up ;)
I am so glad to see you back making things like this again.....and better yet, bringing us all along for the ride....thanks for inspiring me to make one of your 2 x 72 grinders....I've long recognized your genius. Palmer Moynihan
Yay! Welcome back, Jeremy! I hope all is going well for you personally and professionally! Looking forward to watching. I’ve always loved your videos and engineering.
Great to see you back Jeremy.
Welcome back Jer! Great to see a video from you again!
Welcome back my beautiful friend!
Ron Covell has really good videos on making cones and other shapes from sheet metal. Also if the silicone doesn’t hold up I’d like to suggest automotive seam sealer. Love your videos. Can’t wait for more.
Nice. We know we have two more coming. Good news.
jerr is back! great proyects man! we missed you! , saludos desde argetina (greeting from argentina)
Absolutely shocked and happy to to see you make content. Thank you
I'm happy to see you making content again. I hope everything is going well with you.
Welcome back Jer. Nice to see you again
Just re-watching this video again. Just as impressive watching it the second time.
I’ve missed your projects, glad to see you back. Looking forward to your next video!
You need a laser welder. They are cooooool!
So glad to see you back jer!!
So glad to have you back and making!
Hurray! New content! So glad to see you back making videos! As a side note, Ron Covell has great videos for sheet metal fabrication. In the "F-Bomb" series he shows techniques for simple ways of calculating spring back and then creating smaller templates so the metal "rests" back to intended dimensions. Probably too late for this project, but good info for future projects. Definitely worth checking out.
I don't know Ron Covell. But on KZhead, he appears to be The sinonym of proper INTEGRITY. ✨
Glad you were able to get in a shop. I always enjoy your content.
Welcome Back Jer, Good to see you're posting again.
Awesome to see you back! Can't wait to see the projects you have lined up.
a CNC router can become a CNC plotter, to help you draw those weird curves onto flat stuff. I've absolutely chucked a magic marker into a router with the actual router spinny bit unplugged. Sharpies do not like being spun at 20k and yes you can ask me how I know.
Nice QR code that you got there, got me !
QR code on the laptop was a nice touch. Always good to see content from you. The cyclone looks great.
Good to see you, Jeremy! Looking forward to this series! :-) Hope you're landing on your feet out there and enjoying your journey!
Glad you're back! Always love your overbuilt inventions.
Glad you're back, bud! We missed you.
I built a Pentz design cyclone back in 2001, I use it everyday, it works great. Bill was very kind helping me out via email. Good job, cheers from Tokyo! Stu
YES!!! So happy to see you again! Looking forward to follow along in the new shop with you. Awesome first project back, but please share small updates and shop-projects also, cause your projects are pure class, but I watch just as much for you and your personality. Now on to watch some of your other videos, while I wait for the next one. Can't wait!
I agree! smol videos and updates! THE PEOPLE LOVE YOU, JER !
So glad to see you making content again! Looking forward to more videos
I'm so glad to see you back Jer!!! Hope to see more from you in the near future!
Jer Schmidt. Nice to meet you! with a whole new person! Congratulations...
This is shaping up to be another triumph. Your observation, ""Figuring out a faster way to do something is sometimes slower than doing it the slow way," should be called _Schmidt's Second Law of Shop Dynamics_ (Schmidt's First Law is, "If you can't make it perfect, at least make it adjustable.").
Nice to see you again. I like your perfectionism and this dust collectors at all, Marius Hornberger build one too. My shop is way to small für such a huge system, but one day, in the future, maybe I am able to build one too. Same with your beltgrinder, no space in the shop, I am looking in the future.... Geeting from Germany
No pressure… but this video have been very anticipated! Good to see your content again and hope you will enjoy making videos again.
Great! It's great that you're back! Take care! :)
Seeing you back here MADE MY DAY! Great project, can't wait for part two. I used to design high speed packing equipment, and if there is one thing I can see and love in your work, it is the ability to overcome issues and to do it in a way that uses two things that seem to be sorely missing in todays world - common sense and creativity. The touch of genius is the icing on the cake. Welcome back!
Mastic duct sealant is what is usually used to "caulk" ducting to seal it.
Very good to have you back!
Good to see you back Jer! Hope to see some more vids now Hope all is well!
So many cool tools! Excited for more content!
Welcome back Jeremy! Good to see you dropping content again. Nice B.A.D. (boulder aided design) for the collector. Cutting tin with a jigsaw is a great way to test the hearing protection :) Looking forward to more excellent vids Cheers
Jer, it is so good to see you back and building again. You haven’t lost your touch. Can’t wait for the next video. Cheers.
I sometimes feel like I have lost my touch, so I appreciate you saying this. Thank you!
It is nice to see you back. I hope all is well
Good to see you posting again Jer! This is yet another one of your very impressive builds! Looking forward to the follow up videos. Be well.......... 👍👍😉😉
Great video Jeremy! Looks like a great shop. You both have great tools for helping each other by the looks of things. Good idea to sort that dust thing out straight away. Looking forward to your next part on this. ALWAYS worth watching your videos! I learn so much from you.
Hey buddy, welcome back. Hope things are going great and you've been inspired with many other ideas in and out of the shop! (Give a yell anytime if you wish to talk).
I wish I was that handy. Nice to see a new video of you
Seeing this made my day!! Part 1 means more Jer!
I am so happy to see you back man! :D Thanks for sharing this vid, great work!...also great work on that QR code xD
I can't tell you how happy I was to see that you posted a video. Great as always. I'm so glad you're back.
So glad to see you back, hope you are ok. Hoping to see more videos from you.
It was a nice surprise to see a video out from you today. Looks like a really well constructed cyclone. I look forward to the next couple videos on it. You definitely got your mileage out of that grinder you built on this project.
