  • So, perfectly, perfectly awesome, a real treasure. Lots of work, but worth all the effort. The owner was very good in believing in the man he hired to do this very difficult job. Often the buyer cannot imagine all that has to be done to accomplish what the artist has in mind. This really worked-out well....good job to both of you guys. The old customizers like an uncle of mine would often "french" the headlights, taillights, and license plates on cars. I really made them look "custom" and so-so cool. What a great job here!!!!!! Everyone will need to hear the story of your truck.

Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all involved people.

  • Awesome!! I Love it!! The only things I'd change would be to paint it a slightly darker green, more like the green used on Jaguars, and then to paint the fenders black, which is what they did back in the 40's and 50's. Lastly, I'd have a very traditional name hand painted on the doors, in a toned black and ivory, in the traditional arch. That would be Bitchin'!! Great job Ian!

Blue diamond six cylinder, thing ran well.....man, Ian, you are doing a fantastic job!! You definitely have a imagination!

  • I respect a fellow bald guy using an angle grinder in a confined space. Nothing feels better than a "fire baby" from a cut off wheel rolling down your skull and settling on your neck. You should visit the national pike steam and gas show in Richyville Pennsylvania you will see a ton of cool stuff and plenty of hit and miss engines.

  • The 1939 GM Futurliner was made to transport the GM Parade of Progress around the country. This one looks like number 5 of the 12 originally built although there may be more than one of each variation. 9 of the original 12 remain. They use a 145 HP 302 gasoline engine This car carrier version is probably available for a little less than the one with a fully enclosed one that was sold at Barrett Jackson for a few million... $4.1 million I think but $5 million was also reported on the same sale.

  • Ian, I heard a nasty, nasty rumor that you were retiring. I pray that is not so. you are my favorite car show on Channel MTHD 281 here. you were on a 6pm and I always set that time aside. I am a 72 year old veteran who has worked on cars, mostly engines since I got out of the service, that ended about 15 years ago now. I miss it and you bring back memories. So as for Retiring, say it isn't so.
