Well, it's a company with an eager mission. When you want to do something that most say is impossible, you're going to bust your ass non-stop. If you truly enjoy engineering you will love it, if you just want to be an engineer for the money then you'll have to find a less eager company.
@ibrahimh.28287 жыл бұрын
Perhaps, but the two must not always be related. You can still have good and mature management, a LOGICAL chain of command, and paid overtime. That has nothing to do with enthusiasm, that has to do with work ethics. Having immature management, love intrigues etc that make the social atmosphere childish, which is alot of the complaints, is something else entirely
@SuperPowerKiwi7 жыл бұрын
If you want to have a cozy aerospace job where you just make lots of money sitting at a desk go work for Boeing or something like that. SpaceX might not pay as well, but you're going to be directly working with hardware that flies in space and furthering technology with the goal of getting to Mars, so there's that.

Find a hands-on project outside the classroom that you're passionate about, and pursue it. My oldest play Lego till he 9mos old and got his first iPad 1 .. all my kids play iPad and computers before they even start kindergarten . When I used to have money I buy them a new iPad every Xmas.. but now I see them pretty much ahead of their peers . Had my kids have the opportunity to be discovered the sky is the limits for them and not at all in their mom to claim such thing but they are very up there with normality type of kids . Some kids when they too smart they be come a bit uhm something not normal of them n I wouldn’t want my kids to be like that so I never push them to rush through schools but have them enjoy it bc there no rush . I don’t think someone 14 yrs of age n discovered to a genius can do well in later years than a child just go to grade schools n learn all the basics . I always believed get all that basics in then everything become naturally easy and you won’t struggles as much when things get complex

Well, it's a company with an eager mission. When you want to do something that most say is impossible, you're going to bust your ass non-stop. If you truly enjoy engineering you will love it, if you just want to be an engineer for the money then you'll have to find a less eager company.
If you want to have a cozy aerospace job where you just make lots of money sitting at a desk go work for Boeing or something like that. SpaceX might not pay as well, but you're going to be directly working with hardware that flies in space and furthering technology with the goal of getting to Mars, so there's that.
This is my short term goal.
Is it possible for a EU student to be admitted to your internship program? Please say yes
Nobody mentioned the crazy work hours
+Zambia95 What are they?
Dawie de Villiers 60-80 hours a week regularly is what I was told when I interviewed
wow... ok nevermind then :D Well I have major major mega respect for Elon but I did hear he is quite ruthless as a boss sometimes and he works super hard
+Zambia95 It's not like working at McDonalds or some call center or anything. 60-80 hour workweeks working for a company that is actually pushing the human race forward and doing great things! :)
+Zambia95 What are you doing in those 60-80 hours. If its full on then fair enough that's really brutal but if for a lot of that time your at the bar on stand by or playing on an Xbox while weighting for something to compile software to lode or something to cool down or maybe set for carbon fibre before you can get back to work then its not so bad then a lot of it would be more like being on call.
I just wish to help this company as those guys are doing, by the way it;s not only a work when you are in an company where dreams come true, it's a life opportunity!
You just need politicians who appreciate science!
I wonder If the have any computer programmers I mean I bet they do, and I would love to have a job like that as my career seems so exciting
Would love to work there..
do they use macs as the computers, i want to work for spacex,
@bartjoboy that's not the reason I want to work there
If you have a major in engineering, do you still have to work 60-80 hours with a low salary or how does it work
lol
I want to join SpaceX, but can't as I'm a Canadian and not an American
Where do i sign im trying to do this
2020 was here!
What about tour feelings ?
Only spacex OG's have seen this
well we love to work there. make that opportunity international.
Manoj Shanake , this problem isn’t something SpaceX can change, this is a US government national security regulation. Good luck changing that...
Im a 16 years old French teenager and I would love to work for SpaceX. How do I do ? I really want to work in the mission control centers !
does anyone have any info on what other stuff to do if i want an internship (in case its importnant, im 15, sophmore year of high school, and im in a program where i get to take college classes)
Find a hands-on project outside the classroom that you're passionate about, and pursue it. As you can see from the video, alot of the interns at SpaceX are involved in extracurricular engineering design teams that take what theories and principles are taught in the classroom, and apply them to real life engineering issues.
Since I made this comment, I got a engineering internship at a company called Mahindra GenZe, and im currently doing the NASA space colony competition with a few friends. Do you think im on the right track? Thank you for your advice!
Michael I. - that's awesome, man. Looks like you're on the right track. I'm feelin jealous over here...
@@d5240f4 update?
@@PodcastClips____ wow, this is a blast from the past. Not gonna lie, cringing a little bit from reading this. I ended up taking a very different path, im working on AI stuff now. Still follow SpaceX though!
... but what about Canada? :(
I want to work at spacex now
I'd give damn near anything to get an internship there.
It looks like Elon is taking a page from Google's book on work environment. Small, happy, dedicated teams working towards a common goal.
We're right there with ya...
I’m going to make my future son play legos, ONLY LEGOS
Any need for geologists yet?
Any software internships going for 2020?
I badly want a SpaceX jacket or shirt
I want an intern ship space x , im a civil engineer and also a coder
BaradurX same with doctors after writing my personal statement I went online to find tips on how to spice mine up turns out I found almost 25 essays that were almost 0% identical to what I wrote.
I love legos... I think I’m in the right path
It took me three years to finish my last screenplay, Ha. Life gets in the way. A novel is no enviable task. Good luck.
yeap. we work 60hr to 70hrs plus 10hrs more plus a day. only 1day off.. Will burn you out so quick...
Keren banget spacex maju terus
how can canadian intern at spaceX?
Is that only for US residents?🤤
Can you please tell how to apply space x....
I think that this is an inspiring video, but shouldn't a billion dollar private space flight corporation have access to some better microphones?
Do you HAVE to be an American netizen to have an internship ?
yes because rockets can be used as a weapon. ICBM and stuff like that
Do you HAVE to be a White American to have an internship
Can an Indian make for Space X?
Buying all my kids Legos haha
O ya we'll I made my Legos, and built me a time machine with them, so na.)

Elon Musk is typing...
I want to join spaceX. I am from India and I am b tech mechanical .
My dream is to become the first human to go on mars but spacex is destroying it
How so?
Where can I get a Spacex t-shirt or jacket. Oh, and how can I get a job with this company??? I plan on being an astronautical engineer in my second life. But in this one I'm a writer. Irony and fate are a bitch to be sure.
You guys think they would want ME's or AE's more? Fuck man i want to work with Spacex haha
Omoiyari23 Check out their careers website. Nearly all of their positions state that they accept "Mechanical, Aerospace, or some similar engineering background".
you all forget where your #scienceandtechnology came from: where it started, and how it will end up again. from those #ragtag #people WHO #BELIEVED they could #MAKEADIFFERENCE

Ummm, it's "LEGO" and never plural.... ;-)
I play the Legos of my son and make some robots and spaceships. haha. But im not a american citizen.
Intention was this, but now you are stuck with bunch of foreign investment and single you not employed is not a problem for presidents. It's education institution success story, how you learned and got accepted into best work place you possibly could imagine. But 😓 now you don't have to go to school anymore your dreams have been fulfilled and you can sit all day on a porch watching sunset.
Get a better mic please. Otherwise nice video.
Elon is the man to measure all men by
