  • This is not only a great video and fun to watch, but it is also the best commercial Seattle Tree Care could ever have made. The value Jacob brings to companies is remarkable and all for the price of a contract climber. Great work!

  • I was an 8 or 9 year old boy when, in the early 60s, Dutch Elm disease wiped out all the stately old elms that formed cathedral like tunnels over the streets where I lived on the far north side of Chicago. Teams of men were busy taking them down and all us boys watched with awe as they effortlessly tossed lines where needed and climbed and swung around the trees with the ease and confidence of squirrels or monkeys, with chain saws buzzing and branches falling. Today I realize they were probably only in their twenties and early thirties and having the time of their lives, but to us kids they all looked like grizzled and tough old men not to be messed with. Thanks for the video and a close-up view of what it must have been like. Well done.

  • He is one of the best climbers I’ve ever seen. My father was a climber till the day he passed away, that was his calling and he loved every minute of it. He was amazing as well I remember being in absolute awe and amazed watching him climb and take down trees when I was a kid. He taught me a lot but My calling in life is being a truck, heavy equipment, and auto mechanic

  • So awesome! Always a pleasure to get to work together🙌please say it loud for the folks in the back📣to fall a tree precisely, equally measure and set each side of your hinge to the exact point where you want the tree to land💥wow, what a great tip, thank you Guilty for sharing this old school knowledge passed down through Antone and many others. I’ll never forget how perfect you aimed it between the adjacent trees. That gap you hit was no joke, dead on and no damage to the native understory. What a great shot💯👏🎯

    • Merry Christmas.. I'm confused about the measurement trick from the hinge.. anyway to explain in a little more detail? Thanks Peter, from Brett in Colorado

      @DiamondTreeCompanyFortCollins@DiamondTreeCompanyFortCollins Жыл бұрын
    • @@DiamondTreeCompanyFortCollins hello and Merry Christmas+Happy New Year to you as well. I’ll try to explain as simple as possible and then I recommend giving it a try. When falling a tree, pick the exact point where you want the tree to fall 30-40ft from the base of the tree. Hook your tape measure on something at that point and walk back to the tree. Using the tape measure mark on the tree and read the tape measure the approximate place you want one side of your hinge to be. Using that exact same measurement, go onto the other side of your hinge and make a mark. You now have 2exact points perfectly perpendicular in the direction of your intended direction of fall. Cool simple math trick to align your hinge so the tree falls exactly where you want. Keep in mind lots of other factors come into play: lean, decay, neighboring trees etc but what a handy quick way to line up a face cut Perfect👌
