18:30 Splash a few drop of water on the beans before grinding! I have the same grinder and this trick completely solves the grounds-on-counter issue
Yeah that trick is useful on most grinders where statics is a problem. A small spray bottle is perfect.
I hope when the time is right Worth it will be back. I love all the content but i miss watching Adam Steven and Andrew together enjoying good food ❤️😎
Steven I Believe, is focusing on his acting career.
the three musketeers fr
me too
What I like about Andrew is he is good with description.. like if nobody could describe something, he could come up with words to accurately describe it..
Andrew's descriptions are like a cross between "......" and "........"
I totally get that having everyone explain the food and also allowing everyone to try the food is complicated, but what about a picnic special where the foods you bring are supposed to be packed/to go? You'd probably have to film it and then make it again for the picnic, but I think having a little ATE potluck picnic sounds fun 😊
Love this idea!
It's a great idea
Been missing Alvin and Rie on the channel lately. I know they're working on other stuff too but i did love Alvin's take out series
Alvin! We miss him
We miss Alvin...
Alvin's been appearing more frequently on Binging with Babish (Anime with Alvin). Did he already leave ATE? Been so curious about it for a while. Hope he returns here.
@@theseeker403, Alvin’s link to his channel from ATE is till there. I still strongly speculate and believe there was a falling out with Inga. But I could be mistaken. He might have left for Babish because he wanted a change. Maybe one day, it will come out, or be truly clarified, not a PR cover up. So far, I feel suspicious, because of what happened at Bon Appetite with the original talent leaving. The fact that there is no, I left Buzzfeed or Tasty or Ate video, is odd, too. Just he hasn’t shown up in any capacity for four months. And no videos at his channel for six. Also, how they make sure never to mention Alvin, at all.
I think he has a bigger exposure in babish, and is earning a percent of the videos profits. That's what Babish said on an interview. So I guess it makes for financial sense to do more Babish work. And hey, it looks like he is enjoying himself, so why not? 😊
The way Andrew lit up when Inga told him about hot boba made my day. You could see his brain processing all the possibilities! 😁
love this Q&A format, feels like a casual conversation where we get to know you better. Learning about you and the story behind the dishes you make makes the experience of watching your cooking videos even more enjoyable!
Manual Grinding can be therapeutic while smelling that fresh coffee aroma
Chamomile chicken is definitely a thing! Roister (by Chef Grant of Alinea) in Chicago has a whole chicken that’s brined in chamomile tea then served 3 ways: grilled, fried, salad (+ a gravy made with the scraps? If I’m remembering correctly)
I love chamomile and eat chicken all the time but never would have thought of that. What seasonings would you put with chamomile?
I love Inga’s pillow. Seems so cozy and a perfect spot to rest the coffee mug
I loved how they showed and made the coffee then answered the Q&A really creative format! 🤗 I enjoyed this video so much. Andrew and Inga the duo we love to see 👫🏻
For the person who is moving on a budget, hit up the thrift shop. I've found a ton of good cookware and used appliances that are a great price.
Also. Longer Chopsticks are great for cooking. Very versatile.
or Facebook market
I've been a bartender for a long time, and I get asked constantly where the best cocktail spots are. I constantly disappoint people when I tell them that I honestly don't really go out that much when I'm not working. I have zero clue.
Steven has definitely influenced andrew in sharing foods with other

Lotus root is delicious! As someone who also grew up with lotus root soup as well, I always enjoyed them in the soup but I didn’t realize it could be cooked in other ways since we rarely ate out. But as my family’s financial situation improved, and we ate out more, I found so many more ways to enjoy it. And it’s delicious in all its incarnations.
I grew up eating lotus soup and enjoyed the “string pull” on it. Bite a piece, pull it and see spider web like string.
I really like this format. The two of them talking and answering questions every 4th episode or so would be great.
I was SHOOK when I didn't hear Inga say Strawberry but then she did and I felt relieved 😂
This is a solid "get to know you" feeling.
Totally agree with Inga! I'm Taiwanese-American and I grew up drinking hot milk tea with hot boba. In my opinion that is the ONLY and proper way to drink it!
Wetting a finger or a spoon and stirring the coffee beans with it, just to add that little bit of moisture, can help a lot with static and reducing the amount of mess when taking out the basket
this q&a is such easy listening I love it
Watched this in the morning and stopped midway to make my coffee and came back to continue watching. Love all the insights especially the moving apartment question as I am moving out too!
absolutely loving this video format ! I usually struggle to watch anything past 15 minutes but this was so well-paced that I had no issue breezing through it. Really appreciate the times in the description in case i need to come back to this later as well
I just adore how genuinely excited you all are about food! From ingredients and techniques to presentation and atmosphere, this channel just gets what good food should be.
Love these episodes, but am I the only one who loves seeing Inga and Andrew work together? They have good chemistry and both have a love and curiosity for new food
the set up the video editing the effects everything is sooo soothing to watch i love all the videos
I like Andrew's blunt honesty! That's Andrew's whole appeal! He doesn't BS! You know what to expect from this guy! So Andrew, keep 'em comin'! But yeah, don't overdo it and get cancelled later. 😂
I love this format!! Really enjoyed each question and answer - now I really want to go to NYC and try this Cold Noodle Salad drink! I also agree with Inga re: lotus roots - used to hate them and now I love them. Looking forward to the eggplant episode and future Worth It episodes!
I like this format 💜
I loved the Q&A format! I also have issues with my coffee grinds getting everywhere and the desk vacuum is genius, I never even thought about it!
This was the only Q&A ive ever watched completely without skipping and it was so enjoyable!! Thank you
We need more of Andrew and Steven's worth it episodes. Please !!!!
There's actually a classic Chinese chicken dish where they use green tea to smoke whole chicken with aromatics and salt resulting in juicy chicken with a subtle sweet/fragrant aroma. I also had a savory green tea snack/streetfood in Japan, senbei (rice cracker) which they probably made with matcha powder mixed into the rice dough and after grilling it on a hotplate finished with a sweeter-than-average soy glaze. That's the most amazing snack I've ever eaten: simple in ingredients, but surprisingly complex in flavors due to the role reversal in sweet-savory, the grill taste and chewy-crispy textures.
always lovely hearing your thoughts on food! it'd be amazing to have more segments like these :)
wow, i never can think of good questions in the moment, but (obviously) the ATE community can! This was really nice to watch, the mood was so relaxed and even funny 🥰 Edit: please do a q&a again in the future ;)
Sesame is great for savory and sweet dishes.
Inga's garden sounds exactly like mine! I grow edible flowers, sweet basil and Thai basil! It's so nice to have them all fresh to hand ♥️ oat milk lattes over ice are a staple for me right now too - there's nothing better in the middle of a heatwave!
I love the shoutout to "worth it" at 4:17. Hope they are coming back for another season.
Loved this video, I’m excited for the next one
Those were such good questions! Enjoyed this ☺️
The qustions were so interesting! - thanks for a great vid everyone :)
I never heard of a countertop vacuum before, what a timesaver! thanks for sharing
ikr. I'll have to think about that. It's a pain wiping down all the flour after shaping the bread which I do on the parchment I'm going to bake on.
I love the last question so much, especially the butter knife part!
Yessss hot boba!! there’s only one cafe I know of in my area that does it and it’s wonderful. Especially on rainy or snowy days
Vollrath makes great stainless steel mixing bowls in lots of sizes. (Available on Amazon) They last forever and are fairly lightweight for their sizes, so easy for anyone to use to mix and toss things.
Regarding the coffee grounds all over the counter. Try spritzing or adding a couple drops of water to the beans before grinding. It helps to cut the static.
LOVE THIS!!!
A good way to get decent pans on a budget is to look at second hand shops if you can find cast iron pans there you might have to re-season them but they will last you a good long time and you can get a good amount of things like cheese graters or garlic presses and that kind of stuff at a second hand shop as well, plate sets and cup sets
loved the butterknife answer, i think i will see the gestures and reactions around me with different eyes 😀
More of these please! Good stuff
Oh my gosh they answered my question!! (27:03) you guys asked for the Q's so long ago i forgot about it haha I knew Andrew was gonna say bathrooms
Haha. Funny. In my family it's kind of a rule, "if the bathrooms aren't nice and clean, the kitchen won't be either. "
I can't believe Andrew picked all three of my favorite fruit flavors. Raspberry, peach, and mango. Wow.
Great conversation! Love this
What would you grow in your garden was a great question! I live in a small apartment that only gets sun in the morning on the deck so I bought an aero garden for herbs. It was so successful I was eating pesto pizza every night for dinner. I changed it up to try and grow tomatoes and within weeks the tomato had overgrown the pod. I replanted it twice because it was so huge! I now have my aero garden growing parsley which I love and am harvesting cherry tomatoes off my deck. If you have limited space and sun it was my solution. Tomatoes and herbs. That’s all you need!
Try nasturtiums. You can eat the flowers and the foliage and they look pretty. (Also makes for great Pesto 😁)
Loved this!
Love this Q&A! and agree on the challenge of shooting & cooking at the same time 😫
maangchi is awesome! I've made many dishes from her channel and home made kimchi is awesome. Especially in shin ramen, home made kimchi + egg makes it super delish.
loved this video!! thankyou very much
Inga, I have a book about tea: history, terroirs, varieties and it has a recipe for sencha tomato coulis. I use that recipe to make matcha tomato soup and it's very refreshing/hearty at the same time. Poignant flavor. I highly recommend it ^^
Would love to see them do a series of cooking regular meals but the comments provide them with 3 or more ingredients that significantly change the recipe and provide a result
Yaaaaaaay! WorthIt!!!
new worth it episodes yayyy
THAT LITTLE COUNTERTOP GRINDER!!!! I cant 😂🥰
love you guys!!
24:24 this made me happy
That was fun. Really fun
on the topic of savoury matcha: I’ve seen matcha ramen at a Japanese restaurant. Haven’t tried it yet but it’s pretty popular so I’m interested to try it one day 👀
I've tried matcha beer in Japan!
there's a restaurant in my home city that specializes in matcha and they do matcha soba and matcha ramen dishes, as well as matcha dressing on salad
Never realized that the acronym for About to Eat is ATE until this episode!
As far as a essential cheap stuff for a kitchen is sheet trays i never have enough of those
thanks for the awesome video!
For whatever reason, I didn't think this video would be that interesting. But these were great questions! It's cool to see what they have to say for all of it
Thank you Andrew for saying Mango.... Makes me like you even more!!!!
So many pragmatic and helpful tips... that's what I'm here for 😆😆😆
Savory with chamomile? I've previously run a cold soup starter where chamomile tea was the base. Grilled honeydew, white wine, and lemongrass. You could just as easily have thrown it in a sorbet machine though, and used it accordingly. Perhaps as an oyster mignonette, if you added a thin slice of pickled celery or fresno chile.
YES HOT BROWN SUGAR BUBBLE TEA SO GOOD
Thank you for the video
I like the Aeropress for coffee as it's almost bulletproof even if you have a crappy grinder.
Inga slays
Andrew is a food philosopher!
If we're talking about tea flavored chicken/meats in general. There is a whole list of Tea smoked dishes where you use tea leaves instead of wood chips. Not sure about Chamomile specifically however.
Inga, we think a lot alike. Hong Kong food choice BBQ pork and roast pork with rice dish. Numba 1. Also, I noticed you corrected the "boba". lol. Great vid guys!
I just love you guy's
I don't know if it is everywhere, but for those in a budget Marshall's has good and under priced cast iron skillets
re. 25:54 wondering what savoury dishes use green tea, try Hakka lei cha!
I used to not like eating bitter melon as a child, but I enjoy it now: stir-fried with egg or beef and black bean sauce.
I would plant ships leaf for wrapping barbecued meats and sashimi.
3:27 true, it took me a whole day to film making a korean dessert
Ok, where does one get a countertop vacuum?! We do a lot of baking/cutting of bread and that seems like it would be soooo handy for that!
If you are planning on making some recipes with eggplant may I suggest Moussaka. Eggplant shines in this dish!
idk why I found it so funny when they read out the questions, username and platform. but especially when they pause inbetween
Wow the sass Andrew threw at the end 😂
PLEASE do a podcast PLEASE. All your voices are perfect podcast material
Love love love the coffee mug Inga used. Anyone know where its from?
What is that countertop vacuum?? I have the same grinder and problem
I wonder where can I buy the pillow in the video, it looks so fluffy and comfy. Anyone knows?
When I heard chamomile chicken I spurted out my drink. Not sure if it's because of the combination itself or just because it's so oddly specific🤣
Personal growth, Andrew!
Where are those cushions from please? Love the channel 😚
I liked this a lot
I love all inga a favourite fruits…
