Brett Favre vs the team people forget he played for
THE PACKERS DRAFTED FAVRE and both Falcons and Packer fans “know” this! How painful can it be to know the best QB you’ve ever drafted never played for you because you were too Falconie?
Farve is the best quarterback in packers History
Wait what?
@@sawyerprincl4102 The G.O.A.T

The biggest takeaway I get from watching this is TV stations didn't have the yellow first-down line yet...
Woah I didn’t even notice until I read your comment lol
Its better.
Mine was that horsecollars were still allowed. Yikes, on that first play.
.Warrick Dunn and Ahman Green: 2 of the most underrated RB's of there era. .Vick and Farve definitely 2 of the most entertaining Qb's in NFL history. If Vick was more disciplined off the field in terms of his preparation and if he had a QB developing type coach in his Atlanta years and of course if he didn't involve himself in what he eventually involved himself with, there's no doubt he could have gone down as one of the greatest football players that ever lived instead of one of the most talented.
Warrick dunn kinda like brian westbrook but great rb and tj duckett was a dissapoitment should of been like brandon jacobs
Big facts
Have you seen the 2010 vick?
Totally agree on all points. Nice analysis. I shudder to think what Mike Vick could have been, with a little hard work and a top-notch playbook.
So the Packers season began and ended playing in Lambeau against Vick's Falcons.
Weird seeing hardy knickerson on the falcons
Vick never really had a solid pass-catcher other than Alge Crumpler during his time in Atlanta. That's why he rarely gets to showcase his incredible throwing prowess.
That poor Crumpler kid. His parents named him after a protist.
@@tomney4460 lmao I just remember him getting layed out by brian dawkins in 04 nfc title game
Eric Sigersmith lol
Peerless price was supposed to be....
The Falcons failed Vick that way, complaining that his contract was too high to build around him. However they drafted Matt Ryan and gave him everything while making him one of the highest paid QBs contract to contract.
Doug “Give That Man A Game Ball” Peterson
Wow i forgot vonnie holliday , who signed with chiefs in free agency after 03 season i wanna say...
I love how you’re putting this game right now before the Monday night game
I love it to
@Keith Cousins 😅
@Keith Cousins yes
@Keith Cousins They sure do.
Isn't this the same year Vick beat Farve in Lambeau Field in the playoffs, and gave the Packers their first home playoff loss in like 80 years.
Yes unfortunately
I remember they was pushing Vick hard that year. He was like the newest pro wrestler that nfl fell in love with. Then the story was can Vick beat the packers that no one can beat under 32 degree weather. Shits fake man.
Yes 😢
vick should be in the hall of fame just because of how fun he was to watch he changed the game
If the dog fighting stuff didn't happen we definitely would be
No I doubt it. He came back still pretty young with the eagles in 2010 and had a great year but he faded pretty fast after that. He was a electric player but not a hall of fame player.
No. He does not have the numbers.
@@bigjkeelfoot9665 No he wouldn't. He had a lot of highlight plays, but didn't accomplish much resume wise.
1:13 crowd got REAL quiet after this first Mike Vick run...its kinda like they saw into the future of how the Packers season would in in the playoffs lol
At least the Packers don't blow 20 point leads every game. LOL
@FALCON didn’t y’all score 2 points in a playoff game? FaLcons
Man, I remembered when Michael Vick was coming out with a lot more fire and flair that would eventually lead to playoff win against the Packers in January
That block by Donald Driver at 5:12 was nice
9:03 What a throw
I'm pretty sure Dunn could juke me out of my shoes at his current age, damn that man was shifty
Back when Fox actually did intros
Fr
Actually had great scoreboards
The arm strength in this game is ridiculous
Watching vick throw gas with just a flick of the wrist never gets old
It’s incredible watching these games and seeing how incredible Vick’s arm was. He could have easily been the best in history
He was the best it’s just y’all measure QB by team success and how many rings he wins when in actuality football is the ultimate “team” sport unlike basketball where u can affect the game on both sides of the ball and don’t need some help from your teammates on every play. Individually mike Vick is the greatest qb of all time!
@@rashaadofisrael At his best Vick was the best QB in the world, but the problem was he was so inconsistent week in and week out. I'm a Patriots fan so I recognize my biases but Tom Brady was week in week out getting the job done at a level that no one could match no matter what whereas Vick was either convincing us he was the greatest QB ever or was missing wide open throws and making bad reads of defensive coverage. That being said, people who look at accolades and stats to measure Vicks greatness are ignorant. He was an MVP frontrunner three times in his career, should have won it in 2002 over Rich Gannon in my opinion and he was unlucky that Peyton Manning threw 49 touchdowns in 2005 or he would have won it. Vick had three MVP caliber seasons and his peaks are still the highest level I've seen a QB play. Tom Brady was just so consistent no matter the team he had around him and the team he was playing against that if his team lost, it was a shock and people would scramble to claim he was washed.
This really does look like a fun game to watch
The glory days of the nfl
it was
What Mike Vick could have been, if he had put the time and work in, and had someone like Andy Reid earlier in his career.
Curt Menefee called the action on this day.
These guys made my childhood lit
Fr
Also if you look at the very first play of the game you can clearly see Terry Glenn getting horse collar tackled right there and it's just weird now knowing there's no yellow laundry on the field here in '02 and how it was just another tackle back then even though Glenn was clearly shaken up by it.
Forget he was packer before playing his last few years with the cowboys
Counted at least 2 dropped TDs for the Falcons
I've never really seen footage of this game happy y'all uploaded
I know the falcons had to have had the best running game in football with vick an dunn thats for sure
They was the truth on Madden
great memories from my childhood even though we lost to this same falcons team in the playoffs later that season which was the first playoff loss at the frozen tundra
Those crack back blocks are sooooo cheap and yet we loved them 😂
Vick was so fucking fast that even when the defense expected him to run and planned for it he would still easily gain 6-8 yards lol
18 Years Ago
Mind=kinda blown
Wildcard game was so much more significant. First playoff home loss at Lambeau Field after what, like 65-70 years?
Vick is so dangerous with those legs
If we're being honest, Michael Vick should have had a perfect game here. His receivers dropped _two_ great passes from Vick that would have easily been touchdowns and likely put the game away before OT. The career completion percentage may not show it, but Mike Vick was a really good passer for the time. If only Atlanta tried to develop him a bit more rather than relying purely on his legs. What could have been.
There is definitely a lot of truth to that, but I think the bigger factor was Vick refused to put the work in. Roddy White was a pretty damn good receiver and Vick had him the last two or three years in Atlanta. I will admit that before that, Atlanta lacked a bit in the receiver department. But Alge Crumpler was a fantastic tight end and Warrick Dunn was elite for a time. He wasn't devoid of playmaking talent around him.
Needed a Julio like receiver back then....I was a eagles fan I seen how McNabb struggled until we go T.o
This happened to vick every week. Vicks recievers were slow and dropped everything.
Michael Vick is like me playing with Lamar in Madden
This game was 20 years ago today…
Smash mouth era before CTE
I always forget the packers had terry glenn
Vick made it license to be a falcons fan
Favre was so damn fun to watch
Kelly and Brian Finneran dropped those YD passes that could have gave the Falcons the lead to win
finneran great white hope...
this is arguably Michael Vick's most underappreciated passing game E V E R 🎯
Is nobody gonna acknowledge that totally egregious pass interference call?!
It's gone!!!!! Who the hell kept yelling that shit
It used to be like that in alot of fox games for some reason like the vikings bucs game from 1998 on here
Michael Vick and Brett Favre played real good!!! I 🖤 #7 and #4!!! Go Falcons and Go Packers!!! Rise up dirty birds and Go Pack Go!!!

Brett Favre A.k.a. The gunslinger versus second year quarterback Michael Vick a.k.a Randall Cunningham Junior
Sonic 2 imagine if Mike Vick was a great passer he was in a Eagles uniform he had a strong arm he could of been Lamar Jackson Sr aka more dominant.
Randall Cunningham had a stronger arm.
0:13 Terry Glenn Won the Bilentnikoff award as a junior at Ohio State University in 1995 7th overall draft pick by the New England Patriots in 1996 90 receptions for 1,100 yards and 7 touchdowns as a rookie Made the 1999 afc pro bowl team Won SBXXXVI with the 2001 New England Patriots Played 12 seasons at WR with the Patriots Packers and Cowboys (1996-2008)
Yea rest in peace to him
One of my favorite old classic Packers-Brett Favre games I can consider 👍
Hardy knickerson at linebacker
“Gone”
Ahman green beast
Noticed that.
This was such a promising year for the Packers, they had a prolific offense and Ahman Green became the primary back in 2002 during this time as well. Bubba Franks was already and elite tight end at this point and Favre was ready to rip the league apart. They were one of 3 NFC teams to finish with a 12-4 record that year which is crazy to even think of now and ripped off a 7 game win streak after an early loss to the Saints. All of that came to a halt when Vick ran them into the ground in the wild card round. Funny enough Atlanta's tie this year with Pittsburgh was the deciding factor for them making the playoffs this year as the Saints had a 6-2 start and had an epic collapse in the second half of the season just going 1-7. The NFL was electric this year regardless from top to bottom
Actually, the Saints finished the second half of the year (3-5). They had to have, because all they needed was a win on the last day of the regular season to make the playoffs, and they lost to the Panthers. The Falcons lost to the Browns the same day (which put the Browns in the playoffs), but they (the Falcons) backed into the playoffs by virtue of the saints' loss. And yes, you're right, the Falcons tie with Pittsburgh ended up being the deciding factor in who made the playoffs between the Falcons and Saints.
@@MrDariusJWilliams Thanks for the correction, I got the 7-9 confused with 9-7 and forgot they ended up somehow sweeping the Bucs that year and beating Baltimore late. They had so much potential with that offense, may have been the Bucs only weakness had they got into the playoffs.
@@Rromantiq no problem bro. I was only 10 and I didn't too deeply of it back then, but you might be right. Do you think New Orleans would've beaten Green Bay though?
@@MrDariusJWilliams Nice, I was only 11 but this was the year I became obsessed with football with just about every team. the '02 Saints were interesting because even though they missed the playoffs they swept the super bowl champs and also beat the Packers 35-20 in week 2 that year. They were one of the best offenses, though they would have travelled to GB for the playoffs I'm not sure if they would have beaten them but it would have been very close.
16:25 isn't this the American Ninja Warrior guy?
This was my game lol 😂
Great spotlight. I never got to see the original broadcast.
This was 1 of the funnest games ever. It all came out of the bag in this week 1 game. No Bill Belichik style saving everything til week 4 and on here. Packers were down 14, Vick was 10-10, and even once the Packers started scoring the Falcons kept scoring. It wasn’t like they just started coming back and the comeback was on. Last really fun Favre game ever? From this point on he was just your basic pocket passer and when the team was overmatched they were overmatched because he couldn’t do things he used to do to win.
epic glory days
I’m ready for tonight I thought they do NFC Championship At 2016
I love this match up
Good times watching with my dad
Javon walker former fsu first round pick
Do a throwback for Bills and Chiefs matchup week 6
I hated Farve for a long time. But for real the guy was fun to watch. Got one question do you think any QB playing right now can be considered a gunslinger?
I think people calls everyone who throws for a lot of TDs or throws1 deep ball a gunslinger. No one makes close to as much high risk-high reward plays as Favre did.
Yesssss
Outside Algae Crumpler Atlanta had some terrible WRs
Yeah they were a pretty average bunch, Finneran was there best wideout this year and I don't they had Pearless Price until the next year but there offensive was predicated on the run game with Dunn/Duckett so it makes sense.
@@Rromantiq Tru
@Roosevelt Darbey Fr
until they drafted Michael Jenkins and Roddy white basically Brian Finneran was their leading receiver and this was the year before they made the move for peerless price who wasn't the same after Buffalo when he was a great number 2 with Eric moulds
Hi nfl throwback, when the packers and 49ers play could you do the 2013 wild card game in gree bay? Interesting game
@Keith Cousins what the hell?
Rather have 97 nfc title game with packers 49ers
Many forget that the Falcons drafted Favre. I thought for a while the Packers did
I miss seeing split back formations in football 😢
how hot was this game? Like the temps
19:00 Where does that punt show up on the Surrender Index?
Who was more intriguing to watch A.I or Michael Vick?
Tough answer no pun intended lol
We know you have all these full games but you only have games on game pass back to 2009. Put all these 2000s and 1990s games on game pass you cowards

that game was on 2020
I think this was the last year of one of john maddens favorite players grave digger Gilbert brown!
The same doug pederson for the eagles?
You have to put up Ravens Patriots 2011 AFC championship

Gilbert brown the gravedigger lmao for those who remember
anyone remember the great hardy nickerson on green

War damn eagle Auburn also
6:00 - Rightly or wrongly, white running backs are often shunned by NFL scouts because of their reputation for simply being too slow. Plays like this one are how that reputation came about.
GONE
Why all highlights with falcons are loses?
3-0 vs 0-3 2020
Hey NFL Throwback, can you do Patriots Lions 2000?
I would actually like to see that too, because I believe that's when Tom Brady first appeared and threw for 6 yards.
