Stuart Skinner made 33 stops for the shutout, and the Oilers withstood a physical battle from the Kings to steal another game in Los Angeles and head home with a 3-1 series lead. Ryan Rishaug joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss Skinner's performance, the physicality in the game, and how Edmonton continues to dominate on special teams.

    • No. You got 2 years to go and he definitely hasn’t proven himself. He is playing a team in the playoffs that don’t even have one point a game player and are a very weak team.

    • @@shakrmakrdon’t discredit the Kings. They’ve had to play Edmonton now 3 years straight in the first round, and in the previous two years Edmonton lost to the eventual Cup champs. The King have always played super hard. I think Kings could make the second round easy if they didn’t have to play Edmonton 3 years straight, hell the series isn’t over, for all we know they win 3 straight and win the series. But the Oilers so far seem to have learned the 1-3-1 style the Kings play. As an Oiler fan though, I have never wanted the old playoff format more where the 1st seed play 8th, 2nd, 7th , etc. just cause it’s getting kind of old, and not to mention there’s only two possible team we can play if we do make it to the next round, Vancouver or Nashville. And the way things look, there is a high probability next year will also be Kings/Oilers if the format is the same. Pacific division is just really top heavy with Vancouver, Edmonton, Kings, Vegas at the top, then Seattle, Calgary, Ducks, San Jose. Ducks and San Jose are rebuilding. Calgary is in a rough place, and Seattle is simple a new team who definitely could make it like last year, but with Vancouver stepping up it’s hard.

Kings suck, yes he made a bunch of saves but they were nearly all low scoring chance shots. See if he can do this against an actual good team, what history has proven is he can't.
