I always appreciated good WRs since I used to play that spot in any games I could play. Seeing him starting to act like AB and cause problems in what could haver been a legendary comeback was painful to see. Especially when he got a Personal Foul at the start of the game too.

  • Well... as a Steeler fan, it is encouraging to see your team come back from straight up humiliation in 3 quarters and bounce back to give the Vikings a reason to worry in the last 2 minutes. I mean, If you have to lose a game, I guess losing in the opposing teams red-zone, threatening with a touchdown to send the game to OT, after 28 unanswered points is one of the more honorable ways to lose. It's also really good to see Freiermuth stepping up to fill the shoes of Heath Miller... Damn I miss Heath... he was such a great checkdown man when the WR's cant get open... And I am also happy he continues the Pittsburgh tradition of a big-ass gnarly looking white guy at tight end having a weird-ass name we can yell when he scores... After 10 years of screaming HEEEEAAAATH, and a brief period of yelling SPAETHHHH, I suppose a chant of MUUUUUUUTH will be fun. (Heath Miller, Matt Spaeth, Pat Freiermuth)

    • @@hammerpaw7338 There will be a bunch of free agent wide receivers this upcoming season. Russ as the QB would be a draw. Maybe even DWat. They need another RB to be a one-two punch with Swift. Melvin Gordon and Marlon Mack as 3rd down runner. They have a good TE in Hockenson. Give me Ebron and NJoku as second and 3rd TE I could take Reynolds and add some other receivers. Reynolds is a good short to intermediate yardage player. I would get AB and Juju in free agency along with DJackson. Allen Robinson would be looking for a new job. Then the draft would be about great replacements. You have some leaders who can get these young players focused and ready. If they aren't going to keep the head coach grab Eric B, Leftwich or another coordinator for the position who actually is an OC and winning.

  • I see a lot of people blaming Claypool. Yes, his little celebration was unnecessary, but what the hell was Ben doing with only 10 seconds left. He should be firing into the endzone. Instead, he threw it underneath, in the middle of the field! If it weren’t for Diontae breaking a tackle, the clock runs out and the game is over. Ben got extremely lucky that he was able to get one more shot to after that. Both Ben and Claypool wasted precious seconds with instances of poor decision-making.

This game along with the Chargers game has proven this team DOESN'T PLAY at 100% unless their backs are against the wall!!! And also EVERYTIME they have a BIG lead over an opponent they ALWAYS take their foot off the gas and STOP PLAYING to allow their opponent to comeback against them!!! • Claypool took a lot of heat for the 1st down antics, & rightfully so -- But he ain't the first or last rookie to make an immature mistake, even in this game. And there were plenty of other mistakes & miscues during the first half that put the Steelers in the "play catch-up" position. And speaking of mistakes & miscues, how about the fact that THREE Vikings Pro-Bowlers couldn't manage to tackle Johnson on that last run?

  • with claypool doing that pointless celebrating and burning like 12 seconds off the clock was a stupid thing, but that final play of the game with friarmuth should have been a penalty on the vikings for a block in the back, and either replayed the down or put the 3 seconds back on the clock (not saying we would've won just off the touchdown but would've been the right thing for the ref's to do in that situation imo) either way this was a very good game for both teams the vikings did very well in the beginning building their score up while also stoping the steelers from getting points but then the steelers came back and did the same.
