Wouldn’t go near a field here with machinery for a long while yet! Had snow this morning!
@@JMFarming unfortunately with horses there out all winter churning up the fields (some of which are hay fields 🤦♂️) and were on clay… I question my life at times 🤣🤦♂️

Great video Josh and so glad your appear to have the Crypto under control and that your ahead with your Bio-Security for back my place. Young Alfie looks a keen lad and from the way he was watching you, I would always be keeping an eye on him in case he wants to show his muscles off. (I have always had a distrust of bulls ever since I was attacked by a Holstein when I was 17).

Another awesome video Josh I'm glad to see the calves are better you're dealing well with the crypto That's a nice looking bull but seeing him on camera he's not one I'd be trusting he looked a bit flighty i taught he was going over the gate I was thinking a topic that you might cover on you're podcasts is TB the testing is their a better way to deal with it or control it Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one

It is indeed, will have to try and figure out a better defence plan against it for next year! Snowing here currently!
From what I have seen on youtube every farmer has their own way to try and rid the barns of crypto. And by the looks of it most methods seem to get rid of it for a year or 2 but comes back when they least expect it. And like you said, they also say only true way to get rid of it seems to be building a new barn, but what farm would want or afford to do that after an outbreak
If we could avoid having to burn the shed down that would be great! We are planning on calving a little later next year in the hope we can turn out some animals before we finish calving and take the pressure off the shed

It’s a composite breed from America made up of red Angus, Hereford, Simential and gelbveih
You can't take the crypto away from the cattle...you can only get the cattle away from the crypto! Great vid Josh... hope you're having a good week!
If you have crypto.... get them all out... straw up a pen in the handling sytem, make a pen in a field and bed it up... anything... just get them well away from it

@faithobrien911 just about to day the same thing. Once you have crypto in the pens take em away immediately and not use those pens again till autumn.
