It's not everyday that you find artists that write, and produce their music. Mad respect to Jcole
Kanye
Logic
Tyler the creator
Big K.R.I.T.
Earl sweatshirt
Now every time I hear Power Trip I hear every lil part of the beat
Yeah
Lmao fr
Fr bruh!
Makes the song even better

the craziest part is when you did the crazy part and then you hit that crazy part then the crazy part was the craziest part yo
crazy
Dude you should put spoiler alert before your comment xD
Bro, u forgot that other crazy part tho.
That’s the craziest part tho 😂😂😂
That's not even the craziest part
This is how a real artist makes music.
what no?
+Ratt iSpray Real Artist do shit themselves my friend
+Mike Ula so then noone is an artist
Every artist in history has had help making music lol, there's co writers and etc
Nope
J Cole "and then I added my burp to the beat" Homie "yo the burp is the craziest shit on it, it just makes the beat perfect"
And then I snorted a line and slowed it down and added it to the beat Homie: yeah dude the way the 808 and your line meshes together makes it so ambient and perfect
😂😂Ya'll wildin
No, that would be timbaland lol
when J. cole started playing the piano and shit i was like.. ohhh shit! he actually made the beat! its an awesome song! i love watching how all the little sounds fall into place!
hell yea
are you dumb? if you watched the video he was adding other sounds in to, you obviously didnt watch the whole video, when he started playing the piano it was the 1st sign of him making the beat..
You mean mean he used the midi keyboard
He produced the whole album
+Shocksta1234 J. Cole makes all his beats. Shouldn't have taken you seeing him play the piano to know that.
Miguel took the song to another level
I prefer Coles version lol
brandon Wadley tru

Everything's the craziest shit to that guy.
That's J Cole co-producer, Elite. Lol
Ah really? Fair enough. I figured he was the guy interviewing him or something tryna be cool!
haha Yeah, when I first saw this I thought they barely knew each other because ig the way they were talking to each other. like he never heard the best before or met Cole. but they met online and Elite sent Cole beats. theres a documentary thing somewhere lol. Its pretty interesting.
I'll have a look bro.
aight, you think you can give my music a listen tho? I write my own lyrics, make my own beats (unless the title says otherwise), and make my own cover art. I'm 15, you should give my new song "Beautiful Art" a listen. you don't have to tho. its all good. haha
idk why but everytime he added another sound too the beat I got hype af and my head just starts bumpin
YOU HEAR ME
I come back to this video probably once or twice a year and it still brings a smile to my face everytime

I got to this comment and that part at the same time wtf🤣🤣🤣
8 years ago I watched this and discovered that I wanted to be a producer. Thank you Cole. 4 years deep now, and I got a long way to go.
this is the first song I saw that made me wanna produced. This is my best self produced song now. No samples either. kzhead.info/sun/bLSMiZiMkWSnfXA/bejne.html Cole inspired me so much. If you need tips on producing let me know. All about sharing what I know
How did you start
@@tlots4614 reason then maschine then Fl. I recommend FL if you on a budget but if you a bit more money Maschine(you have to bad a pad with the code to use it) is easiest to learn sampling. Theres plenty of videos to show software tips
Jermaine is so mad important, he got a beautiful mind, a message and a loud voice. Few artists have that today which is sad, thankful for him.
This is why he is so good, he takes time to make his own beats and thinks about what he's creating, instead of throwing stuff together.
AveCave1 I wish he start filming his process starting in highschool. I can only imagine how much work he put in
That "craziest part" of the beat when he slowed the percussion sound down is actually pretty dope because it sounds like a low synth
Dj Khoma thanks for your input .....
Dj Khoma I wish I knew how to do that
Dj Khoma I know he's like 40 to Drake!
+Dj Khoma i thought it was a synth too!!!!!!
+kapone815 time stretching most likely

J.Cole Was Super Proud.
He should be this is one of his best beats
I always seem to find my way back to this video... freaking love Cole. INSPIRATION!
JOHNNYBOY TELLEM Mos def after ! What do you think of KOD?
Power Trip is a generational hit, forever timeless
J Cole is the best rapper in my eyes and he's surpassed other rappers lyrically, mentally, and on top of that, he produces his own beats. I swear if I had a chance to meet him and talk to him I could say I am the luckiest man alive. God bless J Cole and I hope he makes that collaboration with Kendrick cuz that'd be dope
True words homie 🙏🏽
fr 🙏🙏
Rip to that project 😔
This beat still gives me chills til this day
For you guys criticizing Elite (the white dude), he produced a lot of classic Cole tracks and it is easy to realize that he knows what he's talking about
Yeah. Elite harnesses the same capabilities as J. In the video though he hasn't heard all of the song so he has to agree with J in a sense.
by kissing his ass.....?
Ees
nickdeez “Elite Elite Elite”
Some people will forever be lost. Every white person isn't considered an elite my G
That beat at the end tho
ye lmao
"juga, juga, juga" 😂 I love this video. Cole so talented 👌🏾
Nobody is going to go around singing juga juga! 😂
Producing music and understanding sounds are two totally different concepts. To be able to watch J. Cole effortlessly execute both at the highest level is just Genius. Cole deserved everything you got out of the game.

@@lilmariosantana7735 i agree 100 too underrated

Exactly. Never gets old
I wonder how Cole remains so humble with so many ass kissers in his circle.
Tyrone Brown He said it in Let Nas Down. "Just pray that along the way I don't loose myself"
Tyrone Brown they aint ass kissers tho. Most of them are producers. Like the white dude with a beanie. He co produced Crooked Smile. They just appreciate the amount of work needed to create a banger like this.
Pranav Raja These people don’t know... Elite is a Dreamville legend. Elite Elite Elite Elite!
Tyrone Brown you have no idea who you talking about those are all his bros
Tyrone Brown first of all their not ass kissers their music producers and second you have no right to call them ass kissers when you don’t know what their occupation is and who they are so i would advise you to stop being so disrespectful
You can see J cole does it for the love of music.

I swear coles rapping in the background to the beat
At the very end of the video, ive watched this for 7 years and just now realized it wasn't just extra vocals he threw with the beat like "What's going on"
This is the reason why j Cole is in my top three for the artist of the post 2010.
I just gotta thank you bro, I swear your music changed my life. Next year, I'll be doing my final year in Med School and I swear apart from the support from my family, friends, and my belief in God, your music played a huge role. Nothing but love, all the way from South Africa.🙌

J. Cole you are the reason I write n produce my own music. So I thank you for that 🔥🔥 keep dropping bombs man. Everything you touch turns to gold ✊🏾🤞🏽
J Cole is the one of the few artists who uses logic. That proves you can make professional music with it. Well, actually the DAW doesn't really matter, it's who and how it's produced, but he is my inspiration because I use logic, and didn't know if you could make professional beats with logic. Anyone know any other producers who use logic?
J Cole is a real artist. He writes and produces his music.
A lot of people use logic tho lol. Tyler the creator, earl sweatshirt, Erick the architect and more. Actually u should just look up "record roulette", a lot of the (professional producers) used logic
Logic is an industry standard software lmfao Logic is as top of the line as it gets, however while the majority of people still use Pro Tools there all slowly switching to Logic and or ableton
Rellim You can make "professional" music with any Daw...It's all about the creativity and vision.
Logic's standard plug-ins can sound a bit harsh... Most people are using 3rd party plug-ins anyway which can be downloaded into any DAW
This inspired me to make beats.
