Finally, someone who thinks that way. BL 1 was something special. OFC the 2nd game is good, but something is missing.
@@farkaskaroly6898 Blasphemous 1 was created with so much heart and passion. From the beautiful music to the dark ferocious imagery against the dreary pixel art, it was just unbelievable. Bl 2 was just a standard Metroidvania, and in my opinion doesn't deserve to hold the Blasphemous name. I honestly could not keep playing it, it felt like a Pixar movie compared to the brutality of the first. No love no passion just "ok guys here you go". No thanks 🫤

@@farkaskaroly6898 Blasphemous 1 has very unique and great NPC; like Redento, Perpetva and her brother, Cleofas and Deogracias... and I loved how our gameplay change their lore. In part 2 I did not find any interesting NPC's tbh

Climbing by literally pushing Mea Culpa into the wall was badass. Second one is more fast/agile.
Blasphemous 1 was my first Metroidvania ever. The second one is okay but man... I love the Mea Culpa vibes and the raw cut scenes of the ancestor.
As for the finishing moves, that "tree hand" executions on lesser enemies(punching ground and crushing the enemy with roots) was cheap. I wish there were unique executions for lesser enemies(small knife guys, or whip guy etc.) too. But big guy with big mace's execution and golden Doctor Doom kind of enemy who appears in Crimson Rains's execution animations are perfect.
Lets hope future patches include more, blasphemous 1 at launch didnt had that many executions either but a lot where added
Blasphemous 2 is light version of first game, maybe better things and animation but bosses and fucking hea culpa hits different at first game.
1 is perfect. better bosses, better gameplay, better spells etc. 2 was still great tho.
The struggle in 1 makes it for me to be satisfying when defeating an enemy or a boss and also the true penance it just makes Blasphemous is what it is
I don’t understand people’s need for unnecessary mechanics. Yes, Blasphemous 2 improved on the gameplay of the first one, but sometimes less is more. The gameplay and progression of 1 is still very fun. At the end of the day 2 is a watered down soulless follow up with no character or brutality that gave the first its charm. And don’t even get me started on the cutscenes.
Blasphemous 1 one was better in my opinion. One badass and detailed weapon, with a slow exploration to catch every details and atmosphere. The second one is faster paced and ruins the atmosphere for me because of that.

Man, one of the thing that make B1 satisfying is the parry sound, its like a rewarding feeling. unlike in BS2 it felt really lacklustre
Parry and finishing moves are very satisfying.
You can easily beat any game on extreme difficulty after you play a Metroid-Vania game.

yea sure try beat a simracing or simshooting game or even mortal kombat where you need to hit secret keys for special moves after mastering "timing" of dodging and attacking souls like game

@@grasshopper0274 Are simracing even games ? Mortal Kombat games are easy to learn. Sim-shooting games are not that hard either. Even Battleroyale games are harder than them.
Blasphemous 1 wins in terms or art direction, in every aspect of it , no doubt about it The 2 wins the rest
0:19 and you can do literally everything with that weapon that you can do with the other 3. Algebro de Borca's, my name memory is weak :( the sword, counter-parry. Dual wield sword dagger's, dont know the name because didnt use much :(, slide + attack combo. Veredicto's heavy attack, but with less explosion ofcourse.
Even tho it has the three abilities of the three weapons from the sequels it feels kinda limited, i exploited the combat to its full potential in both games and let me tell you that when you learn to swap weapons mid fight your options expand much more than what you could do with mea culpa
Just waiting for them to add new game plus option in Blasphemous 2. Combat is better and the art style remained true to its predecessor. There are some combination of Altarpiece of Favors that, to my surprise, isn't available on wiki. Given it came out last year, it's no wonder. Loved the 2nd part, hopefully we'll get Blasphemous 3 in the future
in terms of cutscenes and artstyle blasphemous 1 wins, it just give of this eerie vibe because of its pixelated look while blasphemous 2 looks and feels cartoonish but it still looks cool tho b1 is just better 😅
Blasphemous 2 has mote unique ost than blasphemous 1 And for the rest of blasphemous 2 is good but not beating blasphemous 1 due to blasphemous 1 having it's own style is something very unique, the final boss from blasphemous 2 itself is easier than Eviterno which is weird. Overall Blasphemous 1 better at the unique gameplay blasphemous 2 better at the Ost and graphic.

Blasphemous 1 _might_ have better ambientation in the all the locations of the map, other than that 2 blows it out of the water in every single aspect, from soundtrack to gameplay, it's just a joy to replay.
Blasphemous 2 bosses are lame. Most of them wasn't even a monster.

That’s something I thought about too. But doesn’t bother me as much. They just put more budget into the animation for the 2nd game. And it showed.
yea, the guy that did the pixel art cutscene left when 2 is being developed.
after looking actually looking to the cutscenes on the 1st one they look fucking hideous, the ones on II look so cinematic
People in the comments are too stupid to decide that blasphemous 1 is better than 2 when blasphemous 2 is much more metroidvania than the first and jugablemente is better and pixelart is better and the map is more polished etc If it makes me dizzy, the truth surprises me with the number of people who give their opinions just to give their opinions
No tiene sentido tu comentario bro. La gente que dice que prefiere el 2 al 1, no le importa que uno sea más o menos en aspectos generales o de detalles visuales. La jugabilidad a la larga se siente más congruente con el diseño de mundo en el primer juego, se disfruta más el penitente original a pesar de las claras mejoras en la calidad de juego. Los developers no pudieron ingeniar un mundo que se adaptara a las mejoras en la jugabilidad y se nota. El juego es mucho más facil y la historia y animaciones se hicieron menos interesantes.

I wish people would stop lying. Blas2 is absolutely garbage. Blas1 is an absolute masterpiece, work of art. Blas2 is like some cheap clone. Very disappointed with it.
What exactly is wrong with the 2nd one? I've been wanting to buy it but I want opinions please be specific
@@HalcyonEX In my honest opinion bro it's what you can ask for a sequel it has more things to do and it gives more options for any player to choose from. I would say that blasphemous 1 is more linear and goes straight forward and blasphemous 2 gives you in a sense more liberty but either way after playing both of the games id say they are both good 👍
