The Basemental Drugs mod kind of transforms the Batuu gameplay, as it becomes a trippy world lol ! With this mod, you can't travel to Batuu anymore, instead you need to get some specific drug, and you can “Close your Eyes and Drift Away”... and end up in Batuu lol ! Once in Batuu, your phone interactions are disabled, and when the trip runs out, you get transported back home. I think it's quite clever

I never knew Basemental Drugs did that, I have a mod that lets vacation worlds be regular worlds, you can still take vacations in them but you can change a rental to a residential and have sims live there, so any of my sims can visit Batuu whenever they want and don't need someone to call them, it useful for alien sims and maybe magical sims also, have to make visiting a galaxy far far away make sense somehow.
Now that may make me buy it... If I can get basemental to work in my game

I still maintain that if they had done Batuu the same as Jungle Adventure that this could have been outstanding.
This pack should have been released for free. Its a bloody advert for a Disney park attraction.
I have a mod that lets you play the vacation worlds as regular worlds and put places as residential, if they had made Battu like the jungle one, I could've put some sims living on Battu, I put a teenage girl that studying archeology named Carolina Jones that lives with an Asian little girl named Ting Li that got separated and lost her parents in the jungle, supposedly their grandfathers once knew each other, but what's the chance of that? Jones is a very common name after all, and they live in the small house in the jungle, It's a good mod for the vacation worlds.

Still haven't bought this pack and never will unless it's free. Same with my wedding stories until they fix it. Ea dropped the ball
At least wedding stories has a beautiful playable world so if you are looking for another world it’s worth it on sale (or freee if you know what i mean)
@@Qtopian From what I've seen Wedding Stories is not as buggy anymore, it works with the regular ammount of bugs you expect from trying to make sims do anything as a group.

I made like a sci-fi save file using a lot of mods and the Batuu bb stuff was pretty useful for the builds and droids and light sabers were adding to the overall vibe. But really it's strange how this pack only can fit to a custom modded version of a game xD

I agree with you, it was fun, it just could have been so much better. But please do a build/buy review or full pack review. Everyone says you can’t build with the build/buy from this pack but I actually love some of the items, I think people just didn’t give it a chance.
You can build with them if you use cheats to see the items, you just can't build in the Battu world, a lot would probably be debug items so using the cheat to see the debug items would work, never did see that robot DJ though, but I think it's in their too.
I was watching this channel randomly from time to time because it was in my recommend. Honestly I love this. You're so genuine and realistic, not to mention hilarious 🤣 Definitely subscribed, it's worth it.
You can infact cheat you Sims needs up with no mail box. Just Shift press on them and it will give you the option.

Great video! Even as a Star Wars fan this pack is so boring. All they did was take the Disneyland world and put it in the sims with the Sequel characters because that’s what Disney made. It frustrates me to no end. However, I will say doing lightsaber battles is very fun and enjoyable to watch, as well as getting your own droid. Those little extras should just be in the game so I don’t have to go to Batuu but alas, no.
Well you can find them in build buy with cheats to see hidden objects, and you can get lightsabers with a get items cheat. So technically you don't actually have to go to Battu, Then if you have Get to Work you can have a Sim open a store that sells Droids

I’m not at all a Star Wars fan but when it came to playing this pack I actually had a lot of fun ngl. It was really interesting with the different sides and tbh I haven’t even explored everything there was to explore
In every locations, there is only a single actual building. Everything else are rabbit holes. Bad when I tried it, still as bad as it was.

Batuu = Bad Gameplay but Good Build items. I use the lights all the time as statement lights. Some of the other objects are good if you want an industrial look.

I watched all the movies after buying this to figure out what I was suppose to do and why. (Watched, not bought) My obsession with my sims being super skilled and having all the rewards like Steel Bladder really helped out in this pack. It's just a bunch of running about but the little collectable ships are cool.
I’ll admit as a Star Wars fan that I do always get a kick out of watching folks who don’t really know much about Star Wars play things Star Wars related. That said, I think you’re final analysis of the gamepack is one I share and one of the reasons I haven’t bought it yet. It seems like a good idea, but at the end of the day the Sims 4 gameplay aspects are limited to lots of rabbit holes and point and click missions and there are Star Wars games that are better in terms of Star Wars gameplay including LEGO Star Wars which combines the fun gameplay and humor of LEGO games with Star Wars stories, characters, etc. Honestly when The Sims 4 announced this game pack my mind went to all kinds of ideas about other Star Wars cross media and thought about how neat that was. I think that The Sims 4’s being limited to Batuu….which is basically the location of the Star Wars theme park at Disneyland and Disney World, probably accounts for some of the issues. And considering the game pack was released at the same time Disney opened Batuu at their parks makes me think Disney had a big hand in the development of this pack, too, and that probably didn’t help the creativity of the Sims team developers. I do plan to get the pack eventually for the Build/Buy and CAS items, but I don’t think I’ll ever do much with Batuu itself. Probably have more fun just pretending Oasis Springs is some desert world in the Star Wars universe. I mean, James Turner did make a Tattooine style house that I have downloaded and played with. I don’t think the pack is horrible (it could’ve been worse) and I appreciate that the developers designed it so Batuu NPC sims don’t travel outside Batuu and do things like show up at the Willow Creek bar…unless you specifically call and invite them. I’ll admit that given the reaction of Sims fans and simmers to the Star Wars game pack that it likely meant that Disney and other companies with big name fandom properties probably won’t collab again to do that again. Which is sad because I get the feeling if the pack weren’t basically just the Star Wars theme park area and the Sims team had been given more freedom to develop something (be it DLC for Sims 4 or a standalone game) that it could’ve been better than what we got and that the same could be true for other properties. But I guess disappointing only the Star Wars/Sims 4 fans is enough these days. Maybe because us Star Wars fans are used to being disappointed by corporate greed? LOL Great review video! And for the record: no I wasn’t screaming at you for not knowing certain things. It makes me giggle because I completely know how that feels when dealing with things from fandoms I’m unfamiliar with but have friends that are deeply into it. It’s like they’re speaking a whole other language sometimes!! FYI the Hondo guy who leads the scoundrels that you played sabacc with and said looks like a pirate is in fact called a pirate in the Star Wars universe. He’s in several episodes of the animated Clone Wars series and appears in a few episodes in the animated series Rebels. If this game pack is canon (and I don’t think it is, but I could be wrong) it means Hondo is still alive in the sequel era (the Clone Wars series covers events between the films Episode 2: Attack of the Clones and Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith whereas Rebels takes place starting 5 years before the film Episode 4: A New Hope…the first Star Wars film. This game is set sometime during the sequel trilogy films: Episode 7, 8, 9. The animated series Resistance takes place at the same time. It has pirates in it, too, but no one any fan was familiar with from earlier series or films).
Even as a major sgar wars fan the pack is no fun to play, especially since a lot of the cas options aren't even available for when you enter batoo 😑
Can you use the cas and items outside of the dlc or is it locked to the dlc alone?
I know, why put all the star wars clothes in CAS if you can't choose them in Battu, hmm maybe you get the option of more outfits depending what you do in Battu.
@@angelganon8213 I'm pretty sure they work outside of Battu cause a lot of sims wear them for cosplay at the game con in San Myshuno, never personally had my sims wear cosplay, hmm, maybe I'll have a sim open a cosplay store.

1. I always laugh when you're bundled up. You should come to Texas. Two hours ago it started snowing here in NE Texas (like the version where its mainly rain so its just sludge) and I went out for like 30 min in just flip-flops, practically see-through pants their so old and a hoodie. It felt like it was cold but like a few degrees below the temp we keep it at inside, which is 60 deg F. But four hours before that my family laughed at me because I asked wheres the snow. Texas weather is NEVER how the northerner weatherman says it is, they do not understand just how big Texas is. You have to go by instinct. Apparently mines better than my families. xD 2. I haven't seen this or jungle adventure gp b4, probably bc of how bad they are that no one does gp of it anymore? So this was very interesting to watch. Your the only one that doesn't seem 'bought' by sims. Other's like LilSimsie is good, but you don't know if they are saying what they really feel or if they are dumbing it down bc they are liked and supported by Sims and EA. Even when they say they don't really like something, it seems like they are holding back. You seem more real and open with your thoughts about it so I want to say thank you for it. Makes my day watching your videos.
I found the Jungle one pretty fun actually, but I have a mod that let's the world show up as a regular world so I have sims that actually live in the small house that used to be a rental house, it's way more affordable, the rental prices are so expensive.

All the Star Wars costume pieces showed up on my thrift shop rack when I was trying to sell looks on Trendi ..... they didn't sell.
I own every sims 4 dlc EXCEPT this one. I just leaped from ts2 to ts4 about 2 years ago and bought everything at once, and the later ones as they've been released. But this pack I refused and still refuse to buy.

You need the universal cheats mod that lets you just click your bar and put your needs bars wherever you want.
I love star wars, and i was so excited when they announced this but as per they disappointed. They could have done so much more with it.
The world map is horrible. Why is it so cartoony looking?? Nothing in it seemed to grab my attention so I will still pass on getting it

Actually you don't need a mail box to reset a sims needs. Just make sure cheats are on ( testingcheats on ) and shift click on said sim- sonthin about needs then yeah
I enjoy watching someone else explore this pack but i wouldn't like playing it. I can't think of one reason to justify buying this one.

I don't know anything about Star Wars, but not gonna lie, I quite enjoyed Journey to Batuu. It felt different from ordinary sims gameplay. They maybe should've made it as a spin-off just like The Sims 2 stories. The only thing that spoiled the gameplay for me was all of the alien-like people. And I mean it in the sense that they didn't generate with the costumes on (which I didn't notice at first and only later realized something is missing).
I am in the same position i am about to get batu just because the newer packs can't be bundled 😭 i am waiting for them. I don't want batu...help me EA😂😂😂

It doesn't capture Star Wars especially well either tbh. I'm a huge SW fan and I was pretty hyped for this pack but ended up so disappointed. The clothes are ok and work for a Star Wars look. My biggest disappointment is the face you can't actually BE a Jedi/Sith :(

Only 4 mins in and happy I’ve never bought this pack.. it’s just watching your sims go in a building, watching your sim talk, watching your sim play a game that is randomly generated on if you’ll win or not.. no skill base or control over it I.e mini game style would’ve been cool. Sims 4 is tragic.

What do you like the most about it?
@@blueghost4769 the gameplay, I suppose. I just stay in Battuu for a couple days ranking up and doing a lot of work, explore the areas and stuff. It may also just be the fact that I am obsessed with Star Wars. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that you can rank up fairly quickly, three days and I am level 5 in a faction. Other than that, I actually have a lot of fun playing with it
I love this pack, I hate that it's part of the game, it needed to be separate like Sims midevil or castaway. I don't know what made them choose to make this part of the game. As a Star Wars fan: -it allows me to make someone that looks like me in the game -i get to choose Jedi, Sith, Scoundrel, or change alliance at any time These are two things I've been longing for with regular Star Wars Game play

I use the bb.enablefreebuild cheat and build a little hut outside the Cantina. I put fun stuff, bed, shower, etc.
