you say unexpected ... but knowing this channel and gyle´s silly mindset of never showing a cybran win in a ladder 1v1 (unless mirror) ... i expected it VERY MUCH ... it immediately kills the interest to watch the journey to its obvious end ...

This is what I like about SupCom, no matter how despered the situation is you can still pull some crazy moves to win you the game. I am sad because as I allways root for Cybran players but well played by the UEF player. The comeback on the naval game with thoose Neptunes was superb.

on this channel unless it's a mirror match you won't see a cybran player win a ladder 1v1 ... don't ask me why ... it's some nonsense thing the caster put up for some reason ...

It feels like I spent the entire cast watching Red’s units shooting hills or the ground, but not enemy units.
Gyle still delivering content , a thousand years later (or so it seem to me since my last Faf game) ... the Forever in faf had been taking seriously i see !

16:09 my moneys on red; winning navy, being competitive, practically dominating with air and a not that much smaller eco means it'll probably be easier for him to ramp up destroyers/cruisers putting pressure on blues bases before blue can respond effectively with land/air, but it still looks like the game can go either way

I always bet on the UEF, and they rarely disappoint. That battlecruiser play was just man up and chin first into battle.
I also like UEF but Cybran fits more to my playstyle.

You missed red getting stormed by land and blue could have 100% killed the commander but just went through instead to kill mechs around 13:00 😅

storm lantern looks ahead although i didn't count air unit numbers.
Stormlantern could have gone back in and crushed the neptune production had he seen it but it was covered by the radar jamming of the field engineer assist.
unexpected super suprising match. thank you Gyle! and also, a wing of gunships is a wolfpack because they are best utilized as hunters picking off the vulnerable targets. make total sense. haha

I've been waiting since I subbed to this channel for a 1v1 game.
Calling it at 16 min that StormLantern will win. Lower eco at this point and kinda mixed to bad on the land front, but he has both sea control and air control. Both are key on this map. The eco difference should be whittled down, and land is very vulnerable on the locket.

I don't think the game was lost but psychological damage from the attack at the end was just too much. Brutal.
with no power grid left, his whole production wouldve basically stopped while the UEF wouldve powered forward, it was over
imo that last drop killing the remaining t2 power was gg. if it'd been intercepted & a couple of t3 pgens built fast then maybe red could pull i back
My money was on StormLantern but damn what a comeback. Those hero battlecruisers were a genius play, as were the continentals

I always root for the UEF, but it was looking VERY grim at the midpoint with the pond lost ... but that dropping at the end was just BRUTAL

16:09 at this point, yes Luny has lost the navy in the central pond, but they've made ground in both sides of the ground game, where they can get more mass points. The passive pressure from the navy is strong on this map especially when you have missile cruisers, but i feel like Luny will have the economic advantage and eventually squeeze away at StormLantern. Looking forwards to seeing the rest of it, i'm rooting for team blue :D

Agreed, StormLantern went way too hard on the T1 navy. T1 navy is worthless agains eco, he just wasted that advantage.

I just love these predictions in the comments, seems like many people were fooled. I think StormLantern made a fatal mistake at around 15 mins, the same as I often do on my Setons games. Namely, he attacked way too hard with T1 navy. Yes, you can destroy your enemy's naval production in the short term, but T1 navy can't actually destroy any real eco, which should almost always be your priority. As things stand, the enemy still has his eco, and when you inevitably lose on another front due to overextending, he's just going to tech back up really quickly and you accomplished nothing while tiring yourself out. "That's low", he says at 35 mins with no omni...
should have built a soul ripper when he had massive air advantage and he couldve just cleared up the map
Hey Guys! Love the channel. I have been watching Gyle casts on youtube for years. Question. can anyone tell me if he has cast any games featuring the new Nomad units? I really want to hear his take on the new changes and balances etc. This will sound weird but I don't play the game, I just like to watch the streams.
Strong Cybran start, but he didn't harass enough mid-game. He had gunships but wasn't haunting mass points.
he did a fine job of dropping blue's eco by 40%~ pretty quickly after taking the navy win & there were many mexes unbuilt for a long time after on blue's side. though i'd agree it could have been more, i suppose.

Prediction at 16:00 I give it to storm lantern , he took a bad trade with that hill after getting gun , but he has decent air and the center pond. Blue is taking the land but his mass advantage will be negated by losses to the navy if red goes cruisers.

Not a SINGLE T2 or T3 piece of airdefence in the main base. Kind of reckless and a for this deserved loss.

It always blows my mind that such highly ranked players don't even throw down the most basic, 3 seconds to build defense structures halfway through the game, to at least slow down an unexpected attack on their main bases.
i think the theory is that something like that isn't going to hit you unscouted. till the attack is actually coming spending on that stuff is wasteful (like making smd when no-one has a nuke) & this time red did see the continentals & could easily have scouted the eastern area where lobos were being stockpiled... but it's not unheard of for people to throw up a shield & a couple of t2 pd on their power, especially on maps like this where drops into the base can come in from behind you.

@15:00 ? On this map ? I think if you're not clearly losing the land war and/or air war, whoever wins the naval war is most likely to win the match. Once you get to T2 naval units you can pretty much smash the entire map and there's not much your opponent can do about it. Might be wrong of course. But that's my bet. Bahahahahahaha ! That ending tho.... That's some Starcraft 2 levels of cheese. That's fucking hilarious.

right after i wrote that i started to regret it, storm has air control as well and power advantage, sure luny has way more mass but with all those ships just shooting things down i think storm might have it

hey gyle i’ve been watching you’re videos for a while now, and i want to start getting in the game. but when i try to download the client my pc won’t let me. it’s saying it’s malicious and unrecognized. can you help if you can?
your anti-malware software needs to be told to shut up & let it happen. how to do that is down to what sort of antivirus stuff you have... oh & do be sure you're getting the client from the proper faf site ^^

far more than you'd want to build when you have a dozen asf. better scouting is what red needed. those lobos were amassing for minutes, the continentals flew straight past some of his units, too... it's proper hard to keep track of everything on a map but that stuff didn't magically appear :)

For all you brits out there who don't understand the meaning behind I COULD care less, let me explain. It's indicates that the other party should be thankful for even the complete lack of interest that you have now, because it could be lowered even further. In other words, its a passive aggressive threat that if you don't leave them alone you they will show you what it is like when they REALLY don't care.
