  • Nightbirde said, “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.” Her song is very meaningful to everyone from the bottom of our hearts. And they deserve to get not only the group golden buzzer, but also everyone’s golden buzzer.

  • This might be the best audition of all time on AGT. It was everything. It was like a cleansing ritual performed for all the strong emotions that hit us all when Nightbirde had to go. It was intimate and all was on the table - nothing hidden. Terry with his big heart, all of the judges, Simon's broken heart and perhaps above all, the compassionate and honest audience screaming their emotions out. What a gesture to give the audience the power to give a golden buzzer. It was an enchanted experience. And Mzansi... beautiful humans who performed perfectly and carried themselves with so much wisdom, grace and sweetness. The way they looked, the way they sounded and moved and how abruptly the song ended, just like sweet Jane's life... omg, I'm crying as I'm typing this. An unforgettable and incomparable event. Everyone's compassion brought so much fate and hope for our world and humanity. Thank you, Mzansi, audience, AGT and thank you 💖Nightbirde💖.

  • Everything about this performance...the vocal arrangement and how the women really led the front, but the male voices were so incredibly important...and the choreography was simply amazing and a big part of the performance as well. The movement was so much a part of the music. The exuberance of the last section...expressing that 'it's alright!' in physical form. Just a brilliant performance all around.

Since then, I’ve watched Nightbirde’s performance and this one, I don’t know many times… Like Simon says, it truly is breathtaking. • Nightbirde is a true legend. I think this was her life’s purpose. Maybe she didn’t live what we think was a full life into her 70s or 80s or whatever age but she did accomplish her life’s purpose. Inspiring others and spreading hope. I don’t think she knew the full extent of what she did that even after AGT. The most beautiful thing about humans is we carry on memories and the feeling of hope and feelings that transcend even death. I hope everyone in the world treats each other with kindness no matter what and have hope for a better tomorrow just like Nightbirde hoped for and inspired others to believe in.
