New Caledonia voted 56% in favor of staying in November 2018, 53% in favor of staying part of France in October 2020 and 96% in favor of staying in December 2021. The James Webb Telescope was launched in December 2021 not 2018 to be in space. The UK did leave the EU at least formally The COVID-19 pandemic delayed the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic Games by one year The Jeddah Tower went on hold in January 2018 and has remained that way since A space hotel was not created in 2020 The Indian space mission was postponed until 2023 and China’s space station was launched in 2021. This video is great to show how unpredictable the future is. How covid could not be predicted in 2017 is how other things cannot be predicted in the timeline of the video. Interestingly fun to watch.

Almost none of the things mentioned here happened in the years specified. And most of the near-term events mentioned are also off by about half a decade or so.

Honestly, it's uncertain wether it even makes profit sense. The Amazon has lost to this date approximately 20% of the original land. By the time we would reach such a milestone we may have vertical farming, synthetic meat or brazilian agricultural productivity would be so high it is more expensive to increase land. Also, human population will peak and our food demand will stall. What IS truly worrying is that the Amazon may have a tipping point where it can't sustain itself and starts to die off. And we may be reaching this point, but that is a matter for futher study still
