A video by Abhiraj Rajadhyaksha & Niyati Mavinkurve
Temperatures in India are rising continuously and we all are struggling in these summers. Apart from global warming, there are some issues which are specific to India that needs to be solved to beat the heat and to protect our environment. And for this just like last year, Abhi and Niyu are back with natural air conditioners. And this is a simple solution to tackle the heatwaves.
To support Abhi and Niyu in their initiative of planting 1,00,000 mango trees this year, just follow these 3 simple steps
Step 1: After eating the mangoes - wash the gutlis so that there is no pulp on it.
Step 2: Let it dry in sunlight for 3 to 4 days till there is no trace of wetness on it
Step 3: Once the gutlis have dried collect them in a box so that you can post it to the address shared above
Each mango tree in its lifetime will absorb 81 tons of carbon and release 271 tons of oxygen into the air. It has the cooling effect of 5 ACs kept running for 1000 hours! So lets plant some mango trees and have fun with mangoes

I'm from a lower-middle-class family. My dad and I run a hotel. This year has been particularly challenging for us. First, the summer; second, the heat from those big stoves. We don't have AC, and our house doesn't have a ceiling. It's really, really hot, to the point where I feel like my skin is burning during the daytime 😢. I wish everyone to stay safe.

1. Plant more indian trees I.e - peepal, mango, imli, amla, bargad , neem, 2. Adopt vertical garden 3. less glass buildings 4.less use of AC 5. White paints houses
Less use of AC is most important, which people are not thinking about, they just think about their inside walls temperature, not effect on outside temperature..
People are planting trees in goa but the bjp government cut down an estimated 70000 trees last year to facilitate coal mining. Hi, I'm from Kolkata and it's 43° here which the highest in the last 100 years. I'm watching this video today that is 30th April, 2024 at 22:00 hrs. And I have literally searched in Google and signed a petition of planting more trees. In a country where there is massive deforestation is taking place to make roads and infrastructure, this thought naturally came in my mind. And now I'm watching this video and it gives me a pleasure. Government really need to take steps for reforestation and afforestation. Thanks for thinking out through this video. Hope people understand.
What you sow shall you reap, no matter how many trees you grow, the disaster is more than the future recovery, India's position in global deforestation is so fucking insane at 668,400 hectare, the green cover is lost while laying express highways, Jab tum logon ko sab Express honi chahiye toh Climate change bhi Express hi rehti .. Prepare for the Worst now.

Its 43 degree in Kolkata, can't believe still the government are sanctioning cutting of trees due to construction of more flats.
I think the Indian government should make policies regarding making big rooftop gardens over the buildings. Because it is a part of sustainable development as you can see in Singapore. The rooftop gardens not just include planting small trees but literally Big trees and potentially reduce the heat Island. The question is that why the companies are not focusing on it ??
They are focused on making money, not protecting environment.

It's so strange why nobody wants to have a bird eye view and focus on the real problem - POPULATION. We need quality over quantity. But unfortunately,no govt, no opposition wants to have rules in place to control the breeding of humans on Indian land.
Of course.... Population is main cause of every problem... That's why achraya Prashant sir saying youngsters that don't get married... We have over population
@peaceneeded Population was a problem few decades ago. Not now. India's fertility rate is 2 per woman. That means two kids on two people and it's declining like anything. It was 6 in 60s, 4 in 90s, 2 in 2020s, and expected to go below 1.5 in next couple of decades. Now second thing, Due to the medical advancements, average age is rising. In US and UK and most developed countries it's in 75+. In India it's 67. So in 20-30 years, it will rise to 75+ or even more. Now combine these two facts, the new born population will start declining for India in 3-4 years because the fertility rate will be less than 2 and people will be living longer due to high life expectancy due to medical advancements. Now, that means after a point, there will be a rise in average age. Average age in India is in 20s, that means more work force. People after 50 generally don't do much productive work and generally retire after 60. Japan is facing this problem, their workforce is declining severely. Same with a lot of European countries. So currently it's golden time for India because we have a young workforce. Our govt and we should work on skill development so that we can use this workforce in building our economy stronger. Once population starts to decline which will be in 2040s for India, then average age will rise and we'll have lesser people as a young productive workforce. So it will be a burden on the the country to manage the economy productively. We should utilize this time and make better policies for education, healthcare and skill building thus better employment so that we can effectively use our young population. It's an advantage for India not a disadvantage. Yes, I agree this was a problem in 90s but not now. UN recommends 2.1 as a stable population fertility rate (because it considers infant mortality also) at which the population will be stable. India is below that so in coming decades we might be facing challenging times if we don't make use of it now.
@@preetimittal5949 Acharya Prashant is missing a big point here, if youngsters don't marry we won't be having new age population and in 20-30 years, people will get old and will not be that productive to the economy which will be a disaster. Yes it'll solve the population problem on paper but ultimately it will cause bigger a problem of lack of workforce.
Who else can spot 3-4 kids per muslim family nowadays... It was not before. I can suddenly see this since last 3 years
@@prafull02549 but base population is already so high that even if we come down to 1 child per couple there will be problems

One of the most deteriorating fact about the irrelevant energy usage in our educated society is the major tech parks in our country. Majority of the offices buildings in the tech parks are lit 24 hrs, doesn’t matter if there is an employee or not, using huge chunks of electricity! This should be stopped at managerial level, starting from the cabins itself!

Mere Sister bhi West Bengal se hai woh bhi yehe bol rahe thi ke yaha iss saal bohat Jaada garmi hai aur 10 days tha aur jaada garmi hojayega kar ke 😢😢
Arey yaha ke deforestation ki wajah se yeh sab ho rahe hai. State govt gets paid by promoters and sanctions their projects. They are cutting the trees and destroying ponds.

Kolkata (Calcutta) Is Burning With Heat
Except newtown it is the gate way of kolkata and a green city too here the maximum temperate is 36 degrees that's it
not only kolkata come at west bengal normal village it is also burning.
Kalimpong in Hills required AC now imagine and soon Darjeeling also
Pachim mednipur 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵most hottest no rain in april
Even Goa is boiling 42 degree Celsius
This video is totally valuable...but there is some wrong information also ...that is the double sun effect has nothing to do with temperature... If the power supplied by the system is 'x'....then it will be 'x' only...not '2x'... Reflection of light just bends the direction of propagation of light...not doubling its energy
After 3 years I came back West Bengal. I found drastic change in climate here. No difference between Delhi west Bengal. Now temperature is 42° here.
In Bengal already many have died of heat stroke. Previous year I lost one of my favourite teacher of Geography who died of heat stroke while travelling in his bike.

Government should be questioned about environment damage more often .
This couple don't question government..they tweet against people who question government 😊
Will you question your neighbour who left no tree in their boundary this is same for all. We don't have mercy towards trees. Will you not be angry if govt brings rules to run ac? To prevent glass building?

I'm from Siliguri west bengal! Can't believe once people used to come in Siliguri to feel the climate of Darjeeling now its 35° in Siliguri! Now I kno it's less than many places but for Siliguri from where Darjeeling is only 2 hrs ka rasta ! Its unbelievable!😕 Another thing is that we don't have place here to plant big trees like mango guava peepal imli etc. but our house is full of small plants!
It will increase more
