  • I wonder if a collab with Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson would ever be possible?? He's one of the most wholesome UFC fighters ever, and I think it's safe to say JUJI is the most wholesome bodybuilder/ content creator out there. Also, I believe y'all are both in the Carolinas! It would be incredible to see, especially with the longevity of his career, still fighting and flipping at 40! Grace and Peace, y'all!

  • I was training at AKA just before the pandemic and learning the basic movement patterns in kickboxing from them was great. However, seeing a specialist like Daru explain the biomechanics in further details from his previous video and into the basics of kickboxing here was a real treat. The visualization of how to recognize and improve leverage and efficiency into each strike pattern was awesome.

  • Great video. Juji's main thing is definitely being overzealous and impatient. Having him sit down a lot more on his punches and kicks, take his time and being grounded will benefit him tremendously. The speed and agility is already there, that's not an issue. He needs to go through the motions relaxed and with control, exactly what Phil was saying here. Keep up the good work.

  • bro, you found a good trainer, but don't even think about doing a celeb match until you've got at least 1000 hrs in. you're going to have to relearn a lot of your body mechanics and you (we) are too old to let guys tee off on our heads anymore. be wary of people trying to add you to their highlight reel. it will happen.

  • This type of training is good for balancing things out for a big guy like this. Bodybuilding is not compatible with TKD or MT. Too much muscle doesn’t allow you to be able to protect yourself from strikes, ie, biceps not allowing proper guarding of the face , lats interfering with protecting the ribs. The biggest disadvantage is a lack of endurance with continuous fighting.

  • I think Juji should stay Orthodox stance when doing his boxing rounds, learn to probe/pop his jabs and crosses, get used to swinging his hooks and also learn to drive kicks all the way through. So full 360 degrees with the kicks, not saying sacrifice his TKD style kicks fully but get used to fully driving kicks all the way through will shadowboxing which should be an easy concept to learn because of tricking.

  • If I were you I would focus just on boxing for a couple of months. Get your fight conditioning up and your size down. Not too long that you get specialized and build habits... but Thai and MMA/MMA striking has a lot of moving parts. Boxing isn't simple by any means. I was a boxer. But its less of a barrier. You do your box training, rope, roadwork, swim, and Calisthenics until you lose 30-40lbs. You are super athletic from tricking and taekwon do etc. But until your arms sit natural in the guard, no isometrics... it will be tough. Hard to move your feet to position to kick properly, when you need to keep your chest so squeezed to protect your head.
