Aldo undefeated for over ten years........ Showboat comes around, KOs in 1 punch- walks the walk. If Conor did this in WWE, in a similar ranking, I'd say what Conor did is leagues above whatever the Attitude era, brought to fame. What Conor did, is leagues above any other UFC event before. And their respective legends.
Unfortunately, people tend to forget and / or be too sour about it cuz of all the recent years shenanigans of Conor, but undoubtedly that was one of the most iconic moments. It's a matter of perspective after all. For me personally it's Robbie Lawler vs. Rory McDonald for example. That fight had BMF written all over it.

Facts it was the first time something like that had happened given the magnitude of how big the even was and we saw it birth the biggest star in MMA history hands down.
Idk mate, Edwards compares very well. Too comparable actually. He knocked out the P4P, 9yr undefeated monster with a sequence that him and his coach discussing before the fight. Rather than the beginning of the fight, he did it at the end when all hope seemed lost. Not putting down Mcgregors KO, but Edwards is a very similar standard

Usman was a cheat you skimmed his way through the Covington fights and was only able to win his fights because he was constantly juiced with those needle marks all over his body. He's also nowhere near the fight of Aldo and those fighters in smaller weight classes are just superior.

He was fighting the pound for pound #1 fighter on the planet at the time, for the undisputed world championship, not just "some wrestler" as you put it. Was losing badly, looked like he was mentally fatigued and discouraged. His corner gave him one of the all time great pep talks and lit that fire back under him, he went in to set up one of the most beautiful headkicks we've ever seen with only a minute left in a fight he was certainly about to lose, and capped it off with one of the all time great post fight speeches. Not sure how the Cerrone fight has got anything to do with a completely different fight but you do you. Might as well say they all suck then since Max got punked by Volk 3 times, Conor lost to Nate straight off the couch and Anderson lost to Japanese cans back in PRIDE. Man, Silva in his prime was so much better than everyone else lol. That kick was so fast and brutal, craziness. Would love to see Silva be able to jump in a machine that turns his age back so he could fight again today. It’s also insane how much different that Connor was compared to who he is now physically and mentally. I think with all the haters, him getting injured the way he did, mixed with his over the top bad guy persona…people forget just how next level Connor was. I’m definitely excited to see how he’s going to do at 303 coming up.

The coach’s speeches to him between rounds, the defeated look on his face going into the 5th, the fact he lost to him years prior and has worked his way back to him while both are on incredible winstreaks, to then knock him out last minute to stop him from tying the ufc record of longest win streak. The perfectly timed jon anik quote and the fact his nickname is rocky. Its the ultimate fairytale underdog/rocky story. If a film was made about any ufc fighter’s story it should be edwards
