1995 E34 BMW 540i Cleanest E34 I’ve owned

A tour of my 1995 E34 BMW 540i automatic. It has 115,760 miles at the time of this video.
It has a 4.0L V8 under the hood making
286 HP at 5,800 RPM and
295 lb.ft of torque at 4,500 RPM
with a top speed of 155 MPH.
It Redlines at 6,500 RPM and has a
Curb weight of 3,615 lbs
This V8 provides plenty of low end torque and spirited driving. It’s a very solid and comfortable ride that always feels planted on the road.
All original suspension components replaced, new bushings, new control arms and pitman arms, new front brakes, new General tires, fresh trans fluid change, engine oil always up to date. A/C blows cold.

  • The 1995 540i with the none vanos M60 without the U timing chain guide issue is in the goldilocks zone of 90's bmw reliability and power. You couldn't go wrong with a 95' E34 540i.

    • I had a 1989 535i manual. I loved it. It handled better up front with the longitudinal weight of the engine. The v8 is heavy up front

    • Not too sure. They came with the car from the factory in 1995 with this rare option of wheel style. I think they are the style 10’s but someone can correct me.
