Wow...... I think those are some of your sharpest shots with that camera. Simply stunning. That was such an amazing day like they always are!! Simply AMAZING!! Go big - it is all about the size - just have to get in there deep!! Then go home!!! Looks amazing on the big TV 🙏🤗❤

- Thanks Adrian. I always thought the difference in sharpness would be negligible. It is not. This is really tack sharp compared to the tamron and it had another piece of glass in the teleconverter. Can't wait to try it without the tc

That is a mega focal length 😁 what a reach 😂 i will consider getting a teleconverter for my full moon shots, someday. Awesome shots James! Real sharp and unique.

Nice photos I just tried 500mm pf but as you said I don’t have a luxury for 150to 600 but bokhe is so good do think it’s a good investment in bird photography or go with 150-600 ?

- Honestly for me and the price difference I would probably go with the 150-600 or even the 200-500 nikon. I did a comparison and will post my findings in a day or two. Thanks so much for watching.

- Hey there Randy thanks for watching. You are absolutely right about that. I think I might have been referring to the extra 1.5 crop that happens when you kick it into 4k video

I think your math is a little off. 600mm x 1.4 (the teleconverter) x 1.5 (the crop factor) = 1,050mm not 1,500mm. Right?

- @@forced_perspective was the sharpness still pretty good with the TC on it? Also, were all the videos and pictures shown here with the d500 and 500pf?

- @jacobkrueger1920 yep all the video and stills were with that combo. I think they were pretty sharp and what's funny is I actually never use a TC because I also think there's no need to put another piece of glass between the camera and an expensive piece of glass

- @@forced_perspective yea, I agree. For me if Im buying a prime lens I couldnt convince myself to use a TC, just because I would feel like Im missing out on some sharpness. I have a D500 now and planning to get the 500pf. Have you had any issues with the lens? I know a guy with one right now who is sending it to Nikon because AF stopped working. Wondering if you have any issues I should consider before buying.

- @jacobkrueger1920 I haven't had any issues yet.. knock on wood.. it gets to be a gamble sometimes but maybe they had a bad copy. I haven't heard anything bad about it myself
