+Cody Darr Thank You Cody ... :o)
Very nice! Great job!
Thanks Dave!
Wow that's some older apparatus
+RG Firebuff607 There is
At 1:40 the guy opens a line up and puts it through a window or door that nothing is showing from. Are there any fire Dept that fight fires from inside anymore. 9 out of 10 fire videos you see today are all surround and drown. Firefighting was always to protect life and property. Now more damage is done by water than fire.
There is NO way to go interior on a fire of this magnitude. Six houses fully involved on arrival and 3 collapses. Good luck getting in there.
A SMOKEY ONE THERE DAVE! GREAT FOOTAGE AS ALWAYS! FEEL BAD FOR THE TENANTS ESPECIALLY WITH THE HOLIDAYS COMING AND ALL! ;o( OH, YOU HAVE TYPO IN THE TITLE! ;o)
+THEMAJESTIRIUM1 Yeah it stinks for them ... Thanks Brother .... Typo corrected ;o)
FDNY8231 10-4.... ;o)
I hate to say this, but when I see a fire like this and there are for sale or rent signs plastered on the building it really makes me wonder
+Elizabeth Cherry Understandable
It is a shame all 3 went up, that one everytime they hit it with the hose pieces of that house comes down, too dangerous for the firemen
+Elizabeth Cherry Yes, but those houses are almost 100 years old, and all connected, so usually a fire will spread fast
Are you a firefighter
+Joshua Gathings Yes .... For 40 Years
Excellent Clip / Recording Work . Excellent Work on this job with the Master Streams to put this one in its place . However : 100 Year Old Coal Region Balloon Constructed Wood Frames + Mega Fire Attacking The Building's Structural Frame/Infra Structure + Mega Tons Of Water Applied = For One Major Structural Collapse !!!!! I do not see the Collapse Zone being respected here & with no regard given for the possibility of potential collapses on the involved structure & The attached / involved exposures .( these buildings are attached & when 1 comes down the rest will follow) No reason for any kind of interior attack/ work on this job. The Big Guns will do all of your work for you if worked properly. Posted on 1/9/2018 - 3 Days after a Philadelphia FF lost his life due to a Structural Collaose at a middle of the row job 60 minutes into the job that had less fire & used much less water than this Ashland job. I commend the effort here made by the FF's but overall the Coal Region FF' s are pushing the envelope big time when it comes to disregarding FF Safety. As the late Ashland Fire Chief Tom Towers once stated " It ain't your fire - it ain't your problem - don't get killed over it ! "/ paraphrased version. There is not one building worth dying over !
Thank You for your comments, and I TOTALLY agree with you .... Very sad thing about the Phili FF :(
FDNY8231 Are you on the job up there / NYC ?
No I tried to in 1988 but they froze hiring and when they unfroze I was too old .... I have a LOT of friends that are tho, and I've been a Volly for 41 Years
