The new Maybach GLS 600 raises the bar for luxury SUVs. On the outside you will find a new grill, Mercedes hood ornament and 23in forged wheels. On the inside there is tons of leather, executive seating and a fridge. Under the hood is a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Here's a zonk that I would include: the badges. If this version of the mercedes is based on Maybach, then replace the Silver Star badge with the Maybach badge. That would really allow this car to stand out from the competition, and it's other German counterparts. Other than that, what a sweet looking ride!!!!
Maybach is no longer a seperate brand. Mercedes made Its top luxury Sub-brand similar to AMG

I think the badges would work out perfectly if instead of having the gift wrap style logos on the front bottom panels, they instead have 1 larger logo that stands out. Add some led for night. It honestly just looks cheap.

Its crazy to me. They make such nice vehicles but their like maintaining a private jet.
Owners of these don’t use these as daily drivers, nor do they keep them past 3-4 years! It blows my mind when people come to a high end vehicle 🚗 reviews with a Toyota mentality 😂!
And if you have a Hammond B3 organ in your possession, you might have to pawn it, too, with the Leslie amp! 😞
I went back and forth doing test drives and reading reviews of all the higher end SUV's. It was a close call with the Maybach, but I ultimately went with the fully loaded Kia Soul. 12% APR is steep, but the e-z 96 month loan, full tank of gas, and free car washes for a year made it all worthwhile.

Yes it’s definitely a top choice, Mercedes Knows exactly what they are doing with the Maybach lineup and how well they sell. I absolutely have no zonks whatsoever for this and love everything about it.

Great color that accents the car’s lines. The wheels are very nice. It’s a bargain considering the price of the Bentley and Rolls Royce competitors. It’s for those wealthy people who don’t care about being flashy like the other two SUVs. Nice review as always!

Touch screen controls were a huge advancement, but people still love that tactile bliss that can only be had with pushing real buttons.

This is a palace with wheels and honestly the starting price is not that high considering this is a premium vehicle.
Great vehicle but the fit/finish need to be better for it being an ultra luxury vehicle. Bentayga does build quality so much better

The 2024 Infiniti QX Looks nice, so does the 2024 Mercedes AMG GT 63 with aerodynamic package looks amazing too. This Maybach looks nice as well.
I saw some guy at Costco gas station with one of these. Dude parked on the wrong side of pump and had to stretch the hose over the roof. More money than sense is what this SUV exudes.

I have always been confused when it came to these luxury cars with the wine holders and the chilled fridge that holds Wine so if your being chauffeured is it ok to drink in the car? I said that cause most if not all have open container laws but if you’re not driving I don’t know how that works.

Mercedes is killing it so far in 2023; their sales are up, and they have more profit per car than any other major car company. By keeping going upmarket and making ridiculously expensive, but readily serviced vehicles, they are winning big. the other luxury marks have no repair network, so a wealthy person is going to pick Mercedes a lot of the time for the convenience.
Definitely need the Maybach in the hood and truck.

My Uncle was a car dealer in Beverly Hills in the 30s thru 60s. His VIP clients included Katherine Hepburn and Rosalind Russel; they could drive anything they wanted, Rolls, Bentley etc . Hepburn always drove a mid-size Ford Coupe (Hardtop) in a plain brown ; Russel drove a mid-size Oldsmobile, plain brown, These people were Famous, very glamorous and wealthy, and for them, being under the radar was Freedom . . . In the 80s I briefly owned Russel's Immaculate former Lincoln Continental. When I got it I assumed it was a Staff Car, her Assistant's car, because it was plain brown, but the Pink Slip said Rosalind Russel at her Palm Springs address. Then My Uncle told me about her Plain Brown cars and it all made sense.
It seems only slightly more luxurious than the GLS 580. Does it drive noticbly better? Or, is it pretty much the same car with a few extra baubles?
