Humza Yousef says next general election will be referendum on negotiating Scottish independence

2023 ж. 23 Мау.
27 978 Рет қаралды

Winning a majority of seats in Scotland in the next general election will be pivotal to seeking talks with the UK government, the SNP leader told delegates at an independence convention in Dundee today.
But how likely is it that Humza Yousaf can lead his party to a victory at the polls?

  • It doesn't become a referendum just because the SNP says so. And if they don't win a majority of the vote - not merely the largest number of MSPs - they won't have a leg to stand on.

    • That's right it's doesn't .That's why he says he would try to open dialogue with Westminster. He cant guarantee the Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 people anything. They will go as far to slate England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 internationally to garner international support for independence with the alliances he feels he's make in the EU for example but eventually one of the countries will ask questions and become suspicious. The UK🇬🇧s reputation across the globe is seen negatively partly because of the devolved powerless administration. I think with a threat like this the UK 🇬🇧 should suspend devolution in Scotland until a more pro union party takes over and expel of Humza and his joke of a freeloading team. This option is open the UK 🇬🇧 and if this gets serious I can see them taking action to protect the current majority pro union supporters in Scotland from total chaos of the Nationalist haters.

Them calling themselves a government and in fact Westminster allowing them to call themselves that is wrong and should be stopped. Generally and prior to Nicoliar it's generally been acceptable as the threat of independence has never really got to far. I wouldn't be surprised at all if devolution in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 was suspended to protect the wellbeing of the Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 people who over 50% probably way more are unionists 🇬🇧. Your first minister is currently in the EU and they have said that Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is a region of the United Kingdom 🇬🇧. So even they don't recognise you as a country. • Humza like Sturgeon is a WEF/WHO/EU/UN/G7/Ahmadiyya puppet. Humza doesn't have the bottle or brains to get Scotland out of the UK. The SNP won 53 seats the year after they just lost the Referendum on Indy and they didn't have the bottle to take Indy then and declare UDI. President Putin suggested openly to Alex Salmond we should join the Russian market for business rather than the EU! That would have been wiser! The London mob of crooks scared the knickers off our pensioners in Scotland who thought if they voted YEs for freedom from London, they would not get their pensions the next week. That is what swung the vote: FEAR! Humza is a WEF/ UN / Mirzai puppet and the 2012 Ref on Indy was rigged because Scotland houses the USA's insane nukes we wanted rid of. That is why the UK will never allow Scotland to break free of its corruption and the Scottish leaders don't have the guts to take their freedom.

    @routeman680@routeman68010 ай бұрын
    • Oil and gas is only a small part anyway. Scotland currently has a budget deficit of £27bn per year. Geographic share of north sea oil and gas is worth about $3bn per year (which reduces their budget deficit to $24bn) 60% of Scotland's exports are to the rUK (and only 19% to the EU). Leaving the UK could have a huge impact on Scottish exports - one they'd be hard pressed to make up with increase EU or ROW sales.

They include some of the best-known names in Britain, such as Energy companies , Amazon, Rolls Royce, Ford and Nissan. The figures intensify the pressure on the chancellor, just as he puts the finishing touches to his budget. There were none of the luxuries the common comforts that eased English daily life. The Scottish social order was dominated by aristocratic clans who controlled vast estates that they governed almost as satrapies. .." They governed as satrapies. This is a very good description of the problem that Scotland has at present and whilst I have a massive amount of affinity and respect for the Scottish, I feel they are being deceived by their political masters - as we know now for example that on independence if they get it - and I wish them well if they do - the cost of imports between they and the rest of the UK (what was) will be 15-30% higher. Nicola Sturgeon was pressed on this on Channel 4 on 15th April 2021 and did not have an answer to it though she must have known of this weakness in her argument. So Satraps who were the governors of the provinces of the ancient Median and Achaemenid Empires and in several of their successors, such as in the Sasanian Empire and the Hellenistic empires are good examples of the forthcoming potential problems of Independence looking at the way the SNP govern. And, (page 81) James (VI) wished for only two things from his first Parliament: that a commission of Union be established and that he be recognized as king of Great Britain. After the prorogation of his first Parliament he simply declared himself though as King of great Britain and ordered coins struck to reflect his title. So it is disingenuous to suggest Scotland was forced into Union (and we know obviously of the Darien problems that bankrupted the Country pretty much). The English Commissioners were worried about a flood of Scots over the border to the South and both sides remained protectionist - rather like today after the UK left the EU. The Privy Council and House of Lords were reluctant to support Union and relations with King James VI were soured for a decade, conflict with the House of Commons could not have come at a worse time for James was in desperate need of money.

As for the weather in England, I've no idea at the moment as I'm a Scot living in Scotland 😊 I do however work offshore in the waters off South England and the Netherlands respectively so I could report back with a weather update then if you'd like? Seems you misread or misinterpreted my comment, definitely an independence supporting Scot I just dunno if I can vote for Yousef, that's why a vote for pro indy Greens could be my choice mate.
