I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.
Yuna is so good in the dance break that's why I was sad when they didn't put the first part of the dance break but when I watched how yuna said she can't moved her neck and holding back her tears after doing dance break made me feel sad and bad but yet so proud for her at the same time.

@@Kuraiiell it could also be because their choreography has always been intense. The neck “break” in ICY and now this? A lot of neck movements
@@maliablossom7340 Yea constant stress both mentally & physically definately causes their bodies to wear out faster, I'm sure they have their recover periods and all but looking at Twice, I hope JYP doesn't push ITZY in that direction of having almost non-stop comebacks

This one is also difficult on the knees though with that dance break, I got bruises on my knees trying to learn it 😅

I am obsessed with this choreography! It definitely has major pop and lock it moves with a little bit of girly, sassy, freestyle they give their different personalities into it it’s so unique and fun too. Being a trainer to be a choreographer it’s so exciting seeing how young our generation is and they’re doing things we grew up with watching in the early 2000 movie I grew up with all those Step up movies lol or my favorite female artists like Avril Lavigne she’s the princess of punk they definitely remind me of her.
One thing I've noticed being a MIDZY since DALLA DALLA is that Yuna bends her knees much more compared to other members when dancing and I guess it's so that they are all similar in height. And I have to say props to Yuna's knees because they must HURT
i think it's a JYPE thing cause Tzuyu does the same. It's to make sure everyone is the same height
No taller dancers usually bend their knees more because it looks much better when you dance
@@Skilo1 No it's because of their height. It would look weird if one member(s) was taller and the others. They do it to stay in sync

Tzuyu does the same thing but I think it’s harder on Tzuyu sometimes… idk I just feel like that’s why some people say Tzuyu is a weak lead dancer because since she bends her knees more she gets tired easily? Yuna maybe had a higher stamina
Lia catching up and being in sync with the other members is always top tier. She's so good.
I always keep an eye on Lia when watching their practice videos because she needs to find a different balance between singing and dancing than the other members do, given that she's the lead vocalist to a group that has fairly intense choreographies, but the fact that she still KEEPS UP with them is amazing to me.
Loco choreography is definitely simpler than their past releases, but with a lot of body movement and hand gestures itzy members have said that it is more difficult to sing while dancing and its more tiring that way :3
Regarding Lia’s back bend, if you watch her solo dance on this one show with a white background, she really does bend quite low even without the support of / holding onto other members (it’s a solo dance, no other members present in the frame).
Lia is the most flexible in itzy, especially back flexibility , maybe thats why

1:26 no. This part was intentional. Ryujin wasn't supposed to really bend so they could emphasize the motion of the choreography (Yeji going from Ryujin's side to Lia's)
You're so right about the choreo being an arm toner lol I've been learning it and i have to take breaks for my arms to rest cause damn

This choreography is a masterpiece, period
I think the reason why Ryujin's arm is not straight on their 1st step is because their moving to the direction of Lia. So Lia should bent more than Ryujin to emphasize the movement.

the dance practice was better actually, they didn't cut a lot from the choreography and filmed from the right angle
This is for front angle and better for people who want to cover the dance. Learning a dance with a cam from 100 different angle is hard. I bet he react to this cuz we want to look at the dance, not the camera moving here and there and not able to focus on the formation.
@@itztomato44 their choreo changes and they move together just to be captured from a certain angle, I hate moving camera to buy itzy's are actually good and it highlights the moves

to be fair, this choreo looks to be the easiest so far out of their title track choreographies in terms of the way the movements look? they appear to be easier to mimic and quicker to remember since they are for the most part more located to one body part (if that makes sense), however, the pace of this choreo and the intensity of the movements when you try to actually learn this routine makes it, at least to me, the most demanding out of all their routines. it is so so fast paced and you end up having to move so much because of all the popping and locking movements. very very cardio heavy, you have to have good stamina for this one for sure.
A good analogy would be the eternal debate of boy vs girl group choreo; LOCO may look easier but have more details and a bunch of isolations that make it as hard as intricate formations and strong moves.
You should watch their fancam from the top view...it really shows their formations well. Honestly it's so pleasing to the eye.
I am so proud of Lia in this choreo! She has improved in both technique and confidence so much and we love to see it! Lia has a cute little quirk in the dance break that catches my eye every time I see it. Toward the end of the dance break, when they're doing the heel bounce with the arm swing, while most of the members are bouncing on their outside heel, Lia is the only one that actually picks her foot up entirely so she ends up doing this cute little stomping move.

Pixy just had a new comeback with Addicted. They’re mega rookies that debuted this year. They have a darker concept with some insane choreo. They focus on storytelling and imagery with their choreo since the group has a lot of lore behind it. As far as rookie rap lines go, they’re untouchable. You should definitely check them out!
