Everytime I watch a video like this, I look at the upload date and it's usually from 2010 or older, confirming that most animals shown are probably deceased by now. On a little more light-hearted note though, it's kinda funny to think that the kid is younger than me, but the dog is older than me.

As I have said before and will say it again...she is not licking my son. She smelled him. My son is now almost 6 and alive and well. The husky is almost 12 and is the sweetest dog I've ever owned, she is even a registered therapy dog. Thank you for all the sweet comments, they seriously are the best!

Absolutely. I’ve started getting an influx of animal videos from over a decade ago and it’s very bittersweet. I always hope the animal loved a wonderful life and often times you can really see they were loved. I wholeheartedly hope and think that was the case here, she looked very happy and I hope she’s resting well🫶🏼 It’s a wonderful documentation to show the quirks and personalities of animals we would never have known existed! That’s what I love so much about these
I'm worried you're going to get a lot of flak for this, but I'm simultaneously glad and glum someone else's stuck dwelling on that- I keep telling people I can't have pets since I'm practically hardwired to think about how they're here today, gone tomorrow. It's not sad though, what woul have been sad is not having this amazing equipment that's so readily available. To think 100 years prior, a person would only be photographed a few times in their life. Animals sometimes not at all. The kid will be able to look back at this if and when his memory of the dog is hazy.
Time is mankind's worst enemy, it's thanks to technology that we can capture happy memories like these and store them digitally.
