Growing up I always hated headers because they would always leak. The problem was I was always buying the cheap ones, not the good ones with the thick flanges. Your headers look like they are quality with a nice flange. My last set were from Dougs, purchased second hand for $250.. they're $1k new and the best headers I've ever put on a car. Perhaps you can put another glass pack behind each existing one to quiet it down some more. About the same size as that section of pipe you had.

Probably be as well getting some rear mufflers on that,be nice and quiet on the highway. Like you say the driver's side looks very low to the ground.

When I had cherry bombs I would wind it right up in second gear and then back off the throttle and they would really bark! Pretty cool setup there. Good thing you chose that car to hook it up! lol

Had a feeling this car was going to grow on you . Someone needs to send you the Laguna nose/ header panel, vinyl top material, some paint, and another set of IROC wheels, it'd be a keeper. And while they're at it they could send you couple lifts. They have to know, this crawling around on the ground sht is getting old. I'm pretty good at delegating/ suggesting "other" people sending you stuff.
Maybe it's just me, but the only thing that's as reliable as a 2 jet Rochester, is a quadrajet. Personally, I love 2 jet sbc for daily drivers.
Lee is it leaking at the header flange just curious?
I wonder if those headers would fit better on a pickup with the 350 ? Maybe much more room down there.

Thinking the old exhaust was better . Pipes need to go out over the axel . That exhaust will not hold up welding to the floor
