  • If you keep landing on the surface and not getting fully around it, tuck more. It helps so much i've been practicing and found it is the tuck that is what gets you every time. Good luck :)

  • Great tutorial! i liked how your dad was explaining his fear of being inverted and the key is to trust the pressure on the supporting hand and having a feel for the center of gravity, that's some very good advice in my opinion. And it's good to know your back is getting better.

  • Yes, you need to invert more. I was having the same problem as you, I was even practicing on the same thing as you! I inverted more and found the palm spin easier. I also found that I could do it faster when I inverted more. Keep practicing, it took me 3 practices of 2 hours to finally pick it up. It's definitely worth the work though! It is super fun!

  • You may want to build up the strength before doing it to many times. Something that helps is keeping more of you weight on the palm near the wrist rather then further out on the fingers.

  • Man. I was in a parkour event yesterday. I felt bad I didn't have any tricks up my sleeves. Those dudes who have been practicing from 5 to 10 years were like...... Something you wouldn't see every day. I saw cool stuff. Felt a little sad for being so sloppy. The Obstecle course they took maximumly 34 secs to finish. With the wall runs and muscle ups. I took 1 minute. With failing to climb over both of the walls and not being able to vault over one of the Obstecles. I skipped because it was to high and I was too weak to keep going. It felt bad to be this slow. They didn't make fun of me though. They liked that I tried to keep going even when I became dizzy and I was just minutes away from going unconscious. They gave me lots of courage. The first few obstacles. I got over them quickly. The first vault i did a stylish spped vault.Got over the long gap with a nice stride into a stick then getting over the second Obstecle with a speed vault. A bit sloppy but it was quick. Then got over the little Obstecle by just jumping over them with no vaulting. Into striding perfectly on 3 pipes and after that. That's where it got sloppy. I will try practicing here by watching all the tricks I can learn and do and in the gym by trying harder until success.

  • I have been practicing and when i try to turn as far as I can, i can only get 3/4 of it. Is there a technique to spin faster? Or easier? Ive been practicing on a picknick table, for example, when i get almost all the way around, my heels will hit the table on the way down. Do i need to invert more?

  • I got it right after watching your video, thanks! All I had to do was practice a few times and get over the fear of clipping. PS for people doing this with a mattress, the transition of height from the mattress to the floor is a bit disturbing, but it's easy to get over if you do it slowly with the mattress to see how exactly to do it then actually doing it with the floor.
