The Camry is now in its 9th generation, and has been redesigned to be a hybrid for any trim level. Many of Toyota's vehicles are now only offered as hybrids, so does this improve the Camry's driving dynamics? Join us for a Test Drive. Is there steering feel? Should Toyota make all the things GR?

  • Hybrid makes so much more sense than a full EV, given today's technology. Insanely good mpg, less polluting, no stress about finding a charging station in time or spending 45 minutes there, and your car won't weigh 5000 pounds.

    • Hybrid is slower than a Camry with V6. Hybrid has much lower horsepower. Hybrid is more complex, maybe more chance for problems. Hybrid needs a $4000 battery replacement after 8 to 10 years.

      @DerekDavis213@DerekDavis2136 күн бұрын
    • @@DerekDavis213 Less power yes but absolutely enough for everyday driving and if you want power and speed then you don't buy a Camry. Toyota Hybrids are known for being some of their most reliable cars you can get and batteries tend to last longer than that usually plus with all the money you save on gas and repairs, even with a battery replacement it's cheaper than a regular car. If you kept each car for 100,000kms the V6 you'd spend about $15,469.94 CAD in fuel vs only $8,499.96 in the Hybrid. That being said I prefer fun to drive gas cars, the GR86 would be my personal choice in a Toyota but Hybrids definitely have their purpose in todays world, I don't see why we can't have variety in what's available.

    • @@DerekDavis213 Toyota has the hybrid technology dialed in right. I know a guy who still puts 20k+ miles annually on his old-ass Prius and it still runs fine and is on original battery. Believe me, I love a good V6. My current Acura has a 3.5 V6. But it gets crap mileage around town and in commutes. You have to factor that into the cost as well.

    • EVs are about control and tracking you. EVs are damaging to the environment. Gasoline cars and hybrids are proven. If emissions are fitted correctly then this will be ok for peoples health especially hybrid engines who produce less emissions.

I understand the LE has 16” wheels and the SE has 18” wheels, but I was hearing some reviewers talk about the tire noise in the SE with the 18” Continentals and was curious how much quieter the cabin is on the XLE/XSE with the front acoustic laminated windows.

  • Hi it's fun nice review:) But the AWD model that you drove, is that XSE or XLE. The cover photo of the video looks XLE to me but the description (video title) says XSE. It seems to me that the FWD was XSE, but the AWD was XLE. Maybe that's why the steering felt like that maybe? In case someone makes a purchase decision based on that aspect of the car, I wish you could specify which exact trim it was. Thank you again for making fun videos! The Prius experiments you did were awesome too!

Especially that the buck is far overvalued, like most currencies in the world, as they are not covered by gold (or other real world value) and almost all governments printed (at least a few times more than needed) money. If you have money in the bank use it to acquire real assets such as land, houses, gold or even top cars (Japanese, of course).
