Where I live, there are still teeny little wild cats in the forest... they're called bobcats. Most aren't much bigger than a housecat. Some are the same size or smaller. But we also have pretty big wildcats in the forest (mountain lions).
@@heatherbryant4197 , Despite them only being slightly larger than domestic cats they can really mess you up. In fact a bobcat has killed two pit bulls in someones yard before.
@@lucidcactus2541 Impressive! Of course, dogs and cats have been at odds with each other since each existed. Dogs have a natural instinct to both chase anything that flees and defend what they perceive as their territory. And bobcats tend to run away when they see humans or bigger predators. I'm not sure exactly what happened there, but if one or more bobcats wandered into someone's yard, perhaps looking for a meal, and were chased down by two aggressive pit-bulls barking nonstop, I could see them fighting to the death, especially if the bobcats were cornered and felt their life was in danger. Dogs, and pitbulls especially, have a habit of picking up smaller animals in their mouth and refusing to let go, often violently shaking them. The animal may appear to have only minimal puncture wounds externally, but suffer internal bleeding and organ damage that will kill them slowly within a few days. If a pit-bull managed to lock down on a bobcat, the bobcats may fight for their life and manage to kill the pitbulls. The bobcat(s) may have escaped the yard, but probably non unscathed. It could be that the bobcat died of its own injuries later. People who live near the mountains need to be cautious with letting their pets (or children) outside unsupervised. A yard is not safe just because it has a fence. Mountain lions, bobcats, and even coyotes, can all easily get over fences. Not to mention great horned owls, red tail hawks, golden eagles, and other raptors capable of flying off with small mammals.
Rusty spotted cats are about the size of a normal kitten. They're living in the wild, however.

@@Hadeshy Yaaah those prices are pretty standard. I'm sure what they're paying is office visit + a bunch of tests they ran. Since they were worried something might be wrong, I imagine they probably did a lot of tests which is why the vet bill was that high. :P

My black cat’s nemesis is a local ginger cat! They used to fight all the time, he’d always come to our garden and just face off with our cat and one time was even bold enough to come into our house (we had a Rottweiler at the time - a very placid one but still big.) Anyway I Haven’t seen the ginger cat around the street in a long while now (hope he’s okay) but I do have a fun story about him: So we have this small grassy area outside the front of our house that we call “the green” (urban area) and one day when my mum and dad came back from shopping they saw about 30 cats all congregating on the Green - atop the little hill on this green was our little ginger friend facing all the other cats as if it were the leader. Apparently as they come into view the cats all went quiet and all started staring at my parents simultaneously in silence until they got inside. So weird, right?😂 Anyway when they got in they found my cat curled up asleep in the living room with my dog (grew up together) so I like to think that my neighbourhood has a local cat gang and that my black cat used to be a close confidant of the leader, ginger cat, but snitched on them somehow and as a result made an enemy of the ginger cat. That’s why when they saw my cats humans they went quiet - our family can’t be trusted. 😂 If you made it this far feel free to get creative with your own fun little explanation/story in the comments 😅

Cata domesticated humans. Unlike dogs, which humans bred to do all sorts of jobs, cats showed up, found these wierd apes that attracted all sorts of mice for them to hunt, and just settled in. We never tried to train or breed cats to do specific jobs, they do whatever they want and we give them food, water, shelter, and attention. We are the domesticated animals in the relationship
