Hey guys! I'm back at you with a brand new batch of ideas for fun and easy art and craft things that you can do when bored at home using cheap, easily accessible art supplies. I hope you guys enjoy the video and get some ideas for things to do when you are bored!

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh) Elizabeth and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 29 and like doing creative activities (mostly painting on things), or really anything that gives me an excuse to use rainbows, sprinkles and my own cutesy characters in excess. I'm heavy into editing, so my video are chalk full of sound effects, filters and lil....moments, or as we like to call them "MEmes." I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and various other items I find. I also love to draw, traditionally and digitally. I'm not the most skilled artist out here, but I like to focus on having fun with creativity and being able to laugh at my own mistakes.

  • The final piece ABSOLUTELY slays, I love abstract art so I'm biased but the combination of depth from the colors and PHYSICAL depth from the paint is very neat!! I would love to see more abstract artists take up this method!!

  • Moriah, I know I’m late, but you can get a cup and put water and soap on it, then add food dye and blow with a straw. You can put your paper next to the cup and the bubbles will overflow on the paper creating a cool art thing. When you let it dry it looks really cool! I love your channel so much!🎨

  • For the Foam art you can definitely use a new canvas and have your kids put their hand prints on the foam then paint them (with things that they currently like) so that you remember how small their hands were when they are older and what they liked to do. I think this would be such a cute side project to do with them, you don’t have to record it but you can make memories with your kids. ❤

  • Not going to lie, I actually really like the 'foam clay on canvas and then painting it' idea. I have old canvases that I painted on for school projects, that I did under stress/following the guidelines set out in the projects. As a result, I hate them and totally feel like I wasted perfectly good canvases. But, now wanting to re-purpose them, I can see myself enjoying this kind of process and I'm really tempted to by a bunch of foam clay.

  • I feel you accidentally stumbled into genius with that foam clay craft. Sounds like a terrific 2-day project for kids to make their canvas and paint the next day. Make it an abstract, an animal, a board game they can then play with their little foam clay pieces they made. Love the high energy and blind faith you bring to these projects. Also, Barrot is an absolute keeper.

  • The foam clay craft is ABSOLUTELY GENIUS!! You could create mini landscapes and get both the 2D top view and 3D view. Add some figurines for extra detail and voila! Perfect map for board games and/or cartography enthusiasts :D

  • I love that you posted this even though you werent in love with any of the end products besides Bubble Bud . It is nice to see you try different things and showing us its okay to not get everything perfect the first time or to just have fun. You can go into art without a clear plan and still make something even if its just a good memory of fun.

  • Thank you so much for this Moriah. This was so comforting. My grandma just passed away and she used to make traditional wine crafts. When I saw the cork craft you did, my heart melted.   • I collected champagne corks* & made “Corkies” for my nephew & nieces. I painted them as people with traditional attire from different cultures, to help them recognise & understand that not everyone in the world lives a life like theirs. I was full on making cardboard environments for them too. It was cute as heck 🥰 * that way you have a big ball for the face & the straighter part for the body

  • Oh I LOVE the idea of the clay on canvas... I think one could do soemthing really neat with the colours matching different heights (like how Jordan mentioned topographical maps). Maybe of a location or something - a recreation of a hiking path, or city, or even a fantasy world like Tatooine or something lol.

  • My Grampy used to do the corks craft but with wood! He’s a retired carpenter and still makes plenty of things, including these. They are basically a thick tater tots mixed with corks and we would use markers to customize them. He made us an entire Barbie sized house for them and a train with tracks! This makes me want to redo all of the characters we made with paint!

  • The foam clay you have seem to be similar to the one I use for cosplay. I usually use it to smooth things out or make simple shapes, then when it dries I sand and carve in the finer details because it's like a solid block. Or I use a mold for it to dry in so it keeps the shape (if I need multiples of one thing) Love the video tho!! ❤

    • Considering majority of people making KZhead content are headed into or already are in their 30s and 40s, you don't need to feel like you're too old for any of it. Not that you ever need to feel like you're too old to enjoy anything anyway. I think because Moriah prefers to do cartoony art in bright colors people kind of tend to automatically assume it's meant for children, which is kind of a struggle for a lot of crafting/art KZheadrs who are adults just sharing their interests to a wide audience. Also you're basically the same age as Moriah and she's got two kids as well. I'm also of a similar age (no kids tho lol) and I think it's fine to normalize viewers of our age watching this kind of content if the people making it are also in that range. If Moriah's content is making you happy during a difficult time, then it's fine to let yourself just enjoy it.

  • I really loved the clay on the canvas, it looked like cake frosting! I think it could be super adorable as a simple piece that’s just frosting with sprinkles. You could even create little candies or fruits to stick in it and make different flavors!
