Driving to Miami for the holidays. Long story short, knowing the hotel he is staying at, and the mileage that beast of a truck gets, he is spending AT LEAST $5,000 and probably more like $7,000 for this vacation... but he can't make ends meet thanks to Biden!

    • yeah... and as if all the inflation has nothing to do with the pandemic (and basic corporate price gouging greed)... all the Rs and magas screaming about the deficit, inflation and the economy, but you know that every one of 'em was all in the the fed money gravy train during the pandemic, collecting every penny they could from the multitude of fed and state programs... but it's all bidens and the dems fault... diaper donnie in denial, wasting literally months before taking pandemic seriously, and then actively working against states to hamper their efforts didn't exacerbate the situation at all, and make it probably 10x worse and ultimately much more expensive both in terms of money, and lives wasted for no reason...

      @wachinpntdry.@wachinpntdry.4 ай бұрын
    • Tbf, I think that was kind of a weak comeback. Inflation is real, and even people who spend a lot of money on disgusting fash fan articles are right to point that out. The counterargument would rather be that Biden didn't cause the events that led to the inflation, mainly the Ukraine war. One could even argue that Trump getting voted into office partly due to Russian influence was one of the things that made Putin feel comfortable enough to start the war. But that's hard to put into a snappy comeback. But, I mean, there's things that could be done to make basic necessities more accessible to everyone, so this criticism of the democratic is kind of valid. Of course, Trump would do so much worse and wouldn't care at all...

I am an Independent voter and in my mid-70s. I shake my head at the misinformed beliefs of these individuals. A neighbor gentleman came into my house, and the first thing he said was, "Biden will go down as the worst president and Trump is a great businessman!" I replied in an unexpected and never heard argument, "What do you think Trump and Putin talked about for 45 minutes with no present? They planned how Putin would invade Ukraine without any hindrance on Trump's part. In return? Now that is a great question!!!" He looked at me speechless. Bless you for making me laugh!

He said that around here there were no Cub fans or Cardinal fans, only "Cardinal haters and Cub haters". I think our politics are in that same situation. As much as I admire and appreciate President Biden, if pressed I think I'd have to admit to hating drumpf even more. And I think it was Klepper who pointed out that you can debate someone's political ideas and beliefs with them, but as soon as those become attached to their identity, the debate is over.
