I think you’d be broken down into individual atoms and then you would be rebuilt to the exact same way you were before, memories and all, but they won’t be the very same atoms from before as you may have “traveled” across the galaxy in an instant because your atoms can’t travel faster than light . I had this debate with my professor last week 😅

if you agree that all your cells have changed since 10 years ago and you also agree that a teleporter would rebuild all your cells at the moment of teleportation, it stands to reason that whether you believe youre the same person or a new person should apply to both of these. we dont necessarily think of losing ourselves or being reborn after 10 years on a simple scale of time - we think of losing ourselves or being reborn as a product of life experiences and circumstances.

Dude, the "copy of you" is a devastingly terrifying concept when you think about it. YOU are destroyed. What comes out the other side is another you. YOUR consciousness ends, screen goes black. You are for all intents and purposes dead. Think like The Prestige. When the original goes into the tank so there can be only 1 of them, that's the mechanism. You are scanned, destroyed, and recreated on the other side but there *is no continuation of consciousness* !!!
Ok, there is no continuation. But if we think about this teleport event as a quick deep sleep - it will be the same, like you have a nap in a plane to some vacation. You close your eyes, then open em in another place. And you remember everything from before you went to sleep, all of your life experiences are still there. The real problems start when some fly goes into the teleport with you

The only difference will be that changing position of my body will somehow affect my thoughts in a little timeframe, but i can not recall some really waluable thoughts from only moment that have changed my entire life. (Well, sure, there is a Butterfly effect, but again i can not control it to that level)
