Nawruz is one of the most important holidays in the Islamic calendar, and this year's celebrations in Turkmenistan are sure to be a joyous affair. Nawruz is traditional New Year festival in Central Asia.
Turkmenistan was closed to the world for three years. In March 2023, the country was opened to tourists. The festival was organized in Ashgabat and diplomats and tour operators from 30 countries were invited. Various shows and concerts were organized for the guests from early in the morning to late in the evening. The guests were entertained in hundreds of yurts. A generous event with many and varied dishes. DOCA TOURS team also was there and visited Turkmenistan for six days.
