I animate... sometimes. But I've only ever animated short digital GIFs for livestreams and for fun. I've never animated traditionally before! So let's try animating with the Prixel DIY stamp kit!

  • I love how they look like they're made out of static.

  • These turned out so good! The “gas cat” is my favorite. But I really like the rough quality of the original worm one too. The final version is great, but the one before it felt kind of like you’re seeing a gigantic space worm super far away so they had to zoom in a lot to capture it. Like it’s so zoomed in that the image quality gets “crusty”, you know? These are very fun t watch you make!

  • Hullo Kasey, I did wait a bit to watch this video, I am not so much into creating animations, so I set it aside, yet I am still a fan of your art and art style! I hope the creators of the Prixel system decide to expand their kits, adding more pieces for added content and even consider making a larger printing press platform! Get some larger Prixel prints! This is a much desired upgrade, well so I believe! Kasey, you are truly an amazing artist and I just adore your videos. Thank you for sharing this new obsession with us! See ya next video.

  • When printinf the blockier images, try flipping the stamp over and pressing the paper down, maybe use a roller over the paper. It may make the preasure more even.

  • Honestly I love the chunkiness of the motion and texture, sure, they aren’t perfect, but whose art truly is perfect? I really like how fun the textures are, the way each frame has a sort of static effect, it’s got such a nice tactile feel to them, really fun stuff, these vids have been making me want a prixel lol

  • The animations are amazing! The head bob and ghosting effects really add that extra dimension to the walk cycles, I would love to see more of this! I could definitely imagine you using the slightly transparent ghosting effect to add some gooey or bloody elements to your art haha! Adding other mediums to the prixel is super interesting too! Do you think you'd ever try printmaking using linocutting tools and soft rubber? I just got into printmaking and so far the soft rubber is my favorite thing to carve into, it feels so easy to cut into like butter!
