To save the Amazon rainforest, Brazil’s President Lula must work out who owns it. But with 22 different agencies registering land claims-and many of them overlapping-it’s not an easy task.
00:00 - How is Amazonian land distributed?
00:27 - How do land claims conflict?

  • If Europe really cared about it, they would have made their own land in Amazon (in French Guiana) an example of preservation, but it's not the case. They even wanted to build one of the largest gold mine projects there (Montagne d'Or).

    • Are you educated ? When you remove all the trees and burn the plants to the ground, all the animals/insects die too. This is not just about tree's, but about destroying ecosystems and a lot (By a lot I mean most species) of special and unique animal live in the Amazon. Because of its geological location (Brazil is a humid and warm place). Places like Amazon, Costa Rica and Ecuador and the Galápagos Archipelago are very special places. And most of the trees that live in Brazil cant grow in the USA and Europe. This is not different from poisoning land for your own benefit and therefore killing everything that lives there.

Land ownership is clear and the burning area is the same as always have been, the data shows it. Do me a favor and give a thumbs down on it... If you want to release info about the area do some research, talk with real people who live there and then release... Unless you just want to spread misinformation due to a bad intention.
